• Can we host a Workflow Service as a Windows Service?

  I am working on a logging application that requires me to have a Workflow that is exposed as a Service (Workflow Service). We want to host it as a Windows Service (don't want to host workflow service as .svc file in IIS). Another reason for having it as windows service is to be able to communicate with the service through the Named pipes. Can we expose a Workflow Service through Named Pipes without hosting it in IIS?

  I logged into my MSDN subscription (Premium) today to download the new expression studio, and I noticed that unlike Expression 3, it requires you to enter a key, and they only provide 1. Previously I installed Expression 3 on 2 computer, my home and my work computer. So my question is, is this no longer allowed? or is it a key that can be used multiple times?

  I'm looking for a tool or a script that will take the console log from my web app, parse out the garbage collection information and display it in a meaningful way. I'm starting up on a Sun Java 1.4.2 JVM with the following flags: -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:+PrintGCDetails The log output looks like this: 54.736: [Full GC 54.737: [Tenured: 172798K->18092K(174784K), 2.3792658 secs] 257598K->18092K(259584K), [Perm : 20476K->20476K(20480K)], 2.4715398 secs] Making sense of a few hundred of these kinds of log entries would be much easier if I had a tool that would visually graph garbage collection trends.

  Trying to wrap my head around perl's Autovivification and based on what it sounds like, It seems to work similar to dynamics in C# as a dynamic object is not assigned a type until runtime or, am I totally off here. When I click on the facebook button the new popup window is opened and it requires my facebook credentials. After I enter those, instead of just simply logging in to my site, drupal asks of me to create a new account for drupal. Can someone explain the concept of "contiguous memory" and why you only have max 1.5GB on Windows?
