    I have downloaded both samples for the Facebook Developer Kit from Codeplex and Facebook.NET followed both tutorials down to the word - But as soon as I browse to me app on Facebook I am getting the following error for BOTH versions? API Error Code: 100 API Error Description: Invalid parameter Error Message: Requires valid next URL. Anyone else had this problem? I'm struggling to find an answer to what the error actually means? Especially as the starts kits are supposed to work out the box?

    Exceptions are wonderful things, but I sometimes worry that I throw too many. Consider this example: Class User { public function User(user){ // Query database for user data if(!user) throw new ExistenceException('User not found'); } } I'd argue that it makes as much sense to simply return false (or set all user data to false in this case), rather than throwing an exception. Which do you prefer?

    Hi SO, I'm just getting started with winforms in C# and things are going well, except I want to learn how to do something like: if user presses "proceed" button, it will run some code, and change the form, so that there are more options available to the user on the form.     My slides say that: A recursive call should always be on a smaller data structure than the current one There must be a non recursive option if the data structure is too small You need a wrapper method to make the recursive method accessible Just reading this from the slides makes no sense, especially seeing as it was a topic from before christmas!     The __debug__ variable is handy in part because it affects every module. If I want to create another variable that works the same way, how would I do it? The variable (let's be original and call it 'foo') doesn't have to be truly global, in the sense that if I change foo in one module, it is updated in others. I'd be fine if I could set foo before importing other modules and then they would see the same value for it.

I have the code written in matlab which uses the conv2 function ... is there a library for C# / .NET that does good high-speed matrix manipulations? I'd be fine if it requires some specific GPU and does the matrix math on-GPU if that's what it takes.

  • Sharepoint Workflow doesn't trigger after created/edited tickets

    I have a workflow created in Sharepoint designer that works fine when manually triggered. I want it to trigger when a new ticket is created and when an existing ticket is edited. I have tried everything, but it makes no sense that it works when manually triggered, but does not appear to trigger when tickets are created/modified. Any help would be appreciated.

    Could someone enlighten me as to why including www in a ajax request causes it to fail. i.e. This works: $('#mydiv').load('http://mydomain.com/getitems'); But this doesn't (returns nothing) $('#mydiv').load('http://www.mydomain.com/getitems'); Note that www.mydomain.com/getitems is a valid domain, in the sense that if I point my web browser to it I am able to load the page.

  • Is it possible to run locally JRuby on Google App Engine without restarting server on every change?

    Unfortunately, GAE requires restart of the server on each code change. Is it possible to prevent it and have immediate feedback after code save? Or, can I import Google App Engine's API into my ruby code and run it on Sinatra server? Tried this but it fails on "import com.google.appengine.api" (it doesn't know what 'com' is). For Sinatra, I use "Rerun" ( http://github.com/alexch/rerun ) which restarts server immediately after a change with minimum wait. Thanks.

    I'd like to be able to post twitter messages from python 3.0. None of the twitter API I have looked at support python 3.1. Since the post proceedure only requires this : JSON: curl -u username:password -d status="your message here" http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/update.json I was wondering if it is possible with the standard libraries to format this so a message could be sent. My head says it should be possible.

    does the object creating a sub appdomain get instantiated in that sub appdomain? I have an object that is in the main AppDomain and it is creating another AppDomain and it requires the calling class to be serializable and is creating an instance of the calling class in the new sub AppDomain. I'm wondering if that is how it is, or if there is a way that I can create the sub appDomain but still hold on to the original instantiation of the calling object in the main appDomain

I've written a bash script and am able to run it from within my app. However, some functionality of the script requires superuser privileges. What is the most sane way to run this script securely? This entire process requires a scanner for the applicant to scan his photo / signature into an appropriate size. Is there a better way to capture user identity for such purposes as usage of scanner for capturing signature, photo is a painful process.
