  I have integrated a Silverlight Navigation Application in an ASP.NET MVC web. However when Silverlight calls for its default page, say, IndexPage ASP.NET MVC displays the route as: http://localhost/#/IndexPage I have tried to get ASP.NET MVC to respond to this route: http://localhost/#IndexPage but I am unable to find a configuration that works with this. Does ASP.NET MVC routes respond to hashes in general?

• Primary Key Names in Fluent Nhibernate

  Is there a way in fluent nhibernate (or possibly NHibernate in general) to tell it to generate the primary keys differently? It creates the column name for the key fine, but the index/constraint gets weird generated names like: PK_Address_3214EC2725332734 PK_CreditCa_3214EC2756CA82C8 etc...   I'm looking for an explanation of how a hashtable works - in plain English for a simpleton like me! For example I know it takes the key, calculates the hash (how?) and then performs some kind of modulo to work out where it lies in the array that the value is stored, but that's where my knowledge stops. Could anyone clarify the process. Edit: I'm not looking specifically about how hashcodes are calculated, but a general overview of how a hashtable works.

  If my project name is ABC and the DLL currently outputs as ABC.DLL, how can I make my DLL be outputted as say CBA.DLL and so that when the .LIB is compiled linked against, it is not looking for ABC.DLL, but CBA.DLL. I tried changing the name under Linker General Output File but when I linked to the .lib in my other application, it was still looking for ABC.DLL and CBA.DLL.

  My program requires at least Linux 2.6.26 (I use timerfd and some other Linux-specific features). I have an general idea how to write this macro but I don't have enough knowledge about writing test macros for Autoconf. Algorithm: Run "uname --release" and store output Parse output and subtract Linux version number (MAJOR.MINOR.MICRO) Compare version I don't know how to run command, store output and parse it. Maybe such macro already exists and it's available (I haven't found any)?

  I have a .NET C# winforms application which works great on my machine, but if I try to run it on another machine, it doesn't start up. No error message, no crash message, no window - nothing. I've found that this always happens when a referenced assembly is missing. I guess this is .NET's general behavior and not specific to my app, is it? Is there any way to configure .NET or my application such that it spits out a "referenced assembly missing" like error message in such cases?

• Where do interfaces belong in a multitier application

  So say you have a three tier application with the tiers UI, Services, and Repository for a simple application, let's say saving addresses. If AddressService has an interface IAddressService, where does that interface belong? I know that "in the address service" may seem like an obvious answer, but if it's in the address service it would seem to defeat the point of having the interface such that any service library could be swapped in as long as it implemented IAddressService. (specifically this is in a .net problem space, but it's probably more general so it's tagged architecture)
