Is it possible to write C# code as below and send email using network in different country?

Is it possible to write C# code as below and send email using mnetwork in different country? MSExchangeWebServiceURL = mail.something.com/ews/exchange.asmx It's a web service URL. This works great when I run the same code from home network, my friends home network anywhere around, but when I run it from my client's location in Columbia it fails. I have a valid user name and password on that Exchange Server. Is there any configuration that I can set to achieve this? BTW this code below works when I run it within office network and any network within any home network. I have tried it at least with five friends network in Plano, Texas. I want this code to work running from any network in another country. My client in Columbia can connect to the web service using a browser using the same user name and password, but when I run the code above it is not able to connect to our web service.

Scheduled task username changed

Hi, I created a user on our exchange server, but later changed the username. Now, when I create a scheduled task for that user, and change it's settings (run only when logged on), the username is automatically changed back to the old username. What's causing this and how do I make sure the correct, new username is used for the task (otherwise it won't run), security settings are okay. I did already log in with a different user to delete the profile on the computer and tried again with this user to no avail. The OS is windows xp, the exchange server is on windows server 2003. Allow email from a particular sender through spam filter

We are running exchange 2010 and are using the built in anti-spam feature. We have set up Content Filtering, IP Block List Providers, Sender ID, Sender Reputation and it filters out most of the junk but it also quarantines all emails from one of our customers. It is being quarantined because of the Content Filter agent (Report Below). How can I add an exception for this email address to the Content Filter. I can see how to setup an exception for a delivery address ("Don't filter messages sent TO the following recipients") but I want to add [email protected] to our safe list. I don't want to add the whole domain as it is a very popular ISP in Australia and we often get junk from them. We run a news server for our engineering teams, which is also linked to the code repositories (so that all engineers can subscribe to any changes in the repos or just the projects they are interested in). On quite a regular basis (several times a day) I (as the sysadmin for that server) receive bounces from innd with the above as the first line. The news server simply rejects these messages and the articles don't get posted. The man page for innd doesn't specify why it rejects these messages, it just says it rejects them. So far I have found out these headers are linked to messages in RTF format (coming from Outlook clients), where normally the formatting information would be stored in a winmail.dat attachment. The clients all use MS Exchange 2010 servers to send their mail (identified above as uk-swa-ex02.aminocom.com) which forwards the message to the news server. Does anybody know what advice I need to give these users to avoid their articles getting bounced? Or can I change the behaviour of innd? Or do I need to filter these headers out before innd processes the articles?

How do I read Unicode characters from an MS Access 2007 database through Java?

In Java, I have written a program that reads a UTF8 text file. The text file contains a SQL query of the SELECT kind. The program then executes the query on the Microsoft Access 2007 database and writes all fields of the first row to a UTF8 text file. The problem I have is when a row is returned that contains unicode characters, such as "?". These characters show up as "?" in the text file. I know that the text files are read and written correctly, because a dummy UTF8 character ("?") is read from the text file containing the SQL query and written to the text file containing the resulting row. The UTF8 character looks correct when the written text file is opened in Notepad, so the reading and writing of the text files are not part of the problem. I also accept workaround suggestions. =) What I want to be able to do is to make a Unicode query (for example one that searches for posts that contain the "?" character) and to have results with Unicode characters receieved and saved correctly. Switch to 64 bit or stay at 32 bit?

I have a small office, and I currently use a Visual Foxpro Application that I wrote to handle all the data. It is time to buy a new server. It seems that there are problems with VFP and 64 bit operating system. Should I make the move to 64 bit and try to deal with the problems that arise, or buy a new server running the older 32 bit acrhitecture? The latter would of course require that I use Exchange 2003 instead of 2007 or 2008. Probably no big deal?

I recently registered a website : cinematrailers.net. I was aware that this domain was expired ( registered in 2007 until 2011) My question is when I go to view the registration date on this domain, it says 2012 instead of 2007. Why is that when it was clearly registered in 2007? And will this affect seo? I was under the assumption that the domains age would be great for seo, but now I'm not sure.

How can I provide maximum integration between a calendar-like webapp and desktop calendar applicatio

I've been assigned to upgrade/rewrite a webapp that my company uses to schedule conference calls. One of the goals of the upgrade is to improve integration between the application and our user's Outlook calendars (and ideally other calendar programs as well). At present, when a user is viewing the details of a scheduled conference call on the webapp, they can click an "Add to Outlook calendar" link, which points them to a dynamically generated .ical file. On most of our users' systems, Outlook opens the file by default, bringing up the "create calendar appointment" window with the concall information pre-populated. This link creates a 1-time appointment only, and has to be clicked on for each occurrence of the call. So if a call happened every Monday in June, you would have to click 4 links to add all the appointments to your calendar. This is the full extent of our current level of integration. Ideally, we will be able to upgrade the system so that users can "subscribe" to a con call, which would mean not just the current call, but all calls in a reoccurring series would appear in the user's calendar with a single click. If one call in a series was cancelled, or rescheduled, that call's appointment would change in the users' calendar, without the user having to do anything, and without upsetting the rest of the series' appointments. Also, any changes to the call's info (say, the phone number was changed) would automatically be updated in the Outlook calendars of anyone who subscribed, without them having to come back to the webapp to double-check that their information is up to date. Ideally this would also work with other popular calendar programs, as well as Google Calendar. I don't know if we'll be able to achieve that level of integration, but I'd like to get as close to that as we can. Additional details and challenges: We aren't running Exchange on a public server, and I'm not likely to be able to get that changed Assume that our users are basically "the general internet public". Our users are not members of our office's network, nor can they be. We can't set up network logins or Exchange accounts for them. Some of our users are not using Outlook, but some other calendar program. Of the ones that are using Outlook, not all are using the same version. We have users in more than 50 countries that are using this webapp. Synchronization would be one-directional. Nobody can make changes in their own calendars and expect the server to reflect them/replicate them to other users Current conference calling application is written in ColdFusion. Rewrite will probably be in ASP.NET, but I haven't confirmed that yet. Solutions that work with either or both technologies are appreciated. I know that .ical files can theoretically contain more than one event, but in my own experiments I haven't had success in getting Outlook (2003) to add more than one event at a time using the .ical file method. Maybe someone knows how to set up a multi-event .ical file that Outlook will accept? Could a link to such an .ical file be "subscribed" to? Is there such thing as a calendar RSS feed? Could I simulate running an exchange server? Any other ideas? Thanks everyone!

Due Date set via EWS is wrong in reminder popup

I'm having some trouble using EWS with tasks and reminders, specifically, the due date. When I run my code, shown below, the task is added to my exchange account and I can see it fine in outlook. All the data in it looks fine too. However, if I specify to have a reminder for the task, the due date it shows is very wrong. It's usually 17 hours in the future, but the screenshot I've provided shows it being 19 hours in the future. I'm finding it very strange that if I open the task, the due date looks fine, but the reminder is saying it is due well into the future. Any ideas? Getting Outlook calendar items based on subject

I'm trying to get a list of calendar objects from exchange and sorting them based on subject. The part of of getting the objects just based on date and sorting out via subject is in "code" is now working, but i want to do a sort on subject in the "sql" first, but im unable to make it work ( Currently getting error from exchange saying the query is wrong. What is an IPM.DistList?

I'm trying to get the recipient addresses within an IPM.DistList that is stored in a public folder (of type contacts) in Exchange 2003. The typeName of the object (once I get hold of it) is a Message (with a parent object being a Messages collection) and the messageType is "IPM.DistList". I can find all sorts of things about IPM.DistListItems, which you would think an IPM.DistList would contain, but there apparently isn't any documentation on the DistList (that I can find) and DistListItems documentation lists no parent possibilities in MSDN. I'll state it another way in case I've left you confused: We have an Exchange 2003 info store with Public Folders. Within those Public Folders is a [sub]folder (that holds items of type "Contact") that has a bunch of distribution lists (IPM.DistList's) that have contact entries, members of the list essentially. I need to get the addresses of the members of the lists in the Public Folder sub-folder using any VB language, because the company I work for hired me as a VB guy and expects me to write VB solutions, even though I could do it in C++... alas, I digress. VB is the language I'm supposed to figure this out in. (.net, script, vba, vb6, it doesn't matter which one. Yes, I know vb.net is not really related to those that came before, but they don't know that.) Anyone ran into anything like this? Am I just not finding the IPM.DistList documentation but it does actually exist somewhere? This isn't a Message.MAPIOBJECT (iUnknown) problem is it? Thanks.... Jeremy
