  Are tiles from Openstreetmap (OSM) compatible with tiles of Google Maps (satellite view)? By compatible I mean - is it possible to use the code/logic that is written to read Openstreetmaps tiles to load tiles from Google maps ? • Why sometimes Windows cannot kill a process?

  Right now I'm trying to Run/Debung my app on VisualStudio, but it cannot create it because the las instance of the app.vshost.exe is still running. Then, by using the Task Manager i'm trying to kill it, but it just remains there with no signal of activity. Beyond that particular case (maybe a VS bug), i'm very curious about the technical reasons why sometimes Windows cannot kill a process??? Can, an enlighted OS related developer, please try to explain? (And please don't start a Unix/Linux/Mac battle against Windows)

• AdobeTV: Working with Data in Flex by James Ward - empWeb example in Flash Builder Beta

  Hi, from video on AdobeTV I tied to play with example empWeb (LiveCycle Data Services). In Flex Builder 3 (FB3) all works fine. When I tried this on Flash Builder Beta (FB4) it don't work. When I replaced original xmlns declarations (2009, spark, halo) by declarations from FB3 (2006) it works. Could you explain why ? Thanks juro2

• can not get jplayer plugin to work

  Hello, I hope somebody has some experience with the jplayer plugin I have been staring at the sourcecode of the demo's and looking in firebug, but I can't see why it is not showing at all. It also try's to use the flash file, but in other examples the embed code does not show up in the container div either. • cannot find vcvarsall.bat when runnning a pyhton script

  hello all, i am working on vista, and using python 2.6.4. i am using a software which uses a python script. but then i bumped into the message "cannot find vcvarsall.bat". so i installed visual c++ 2010. still the file is not found though it is there. my guess (a very uneducated one...) is that somewhere the path is wrong, because i also have an old visual 2008 (pretty empty) folder. since i have little idea in programming i have no idea where to make the changes for the new path. do i change something in the registery or in the script. i would be happy if somebody could help (preferably in lamen terms). thanx.   i am looking for sftp client in c# SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) i come across http://sourceforge.net/projects/sharpssh http://granados.sourceforge.net/ after exploring i will use them. while trying to understand the basics. i come across the help text http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FTP_over_SSH#FTP_over_SSH_.28not_SFTP.29 which is confusing . could some one explain it for me what is difference between sftp and FTP over SSH. no library seems to give support for "FTP over SSH" if it is different.

  Hi, I'm using the 1kb css grid framework for a site, and although nested rows are apparently supported by the framework, when I try to drop in a nested row it doesn't work!   Hi all, I am trying to call the FedEx tracking webservice. Currently I am running the sample application provided by FedEx itself (Added my test account number and other details). When I run the application, I get the following error: The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required. I am inside a proxy at my organization and I tried provided the proxy server details to the webservice client using the WebProxy class as: trackService.Proxy = WebProxy.GetDefaultProxy(); and also by providing the proxy server details as: trackService.Proxy = new WebProxy("IP",8080); But I still keep getting the same error!!   Can someone please explain the difference between IE8 browser mode and document mode in simple terms? What causes the browser mode to change? What causes the document mode to change? If a user changes the mode(s) via developer tools, does the change remain even if the page is refreshed? I am asking this because we are doing some IE8 testing here, and different people have different combinations of the modes, and i want to try to figure out how this is happening.
