  Hey there, I know this can't be that hard. I've searched, but I can't seem to find a simple solution. I want to call a method, pass it the length and have it generate a random alphanumeric string.   I am using OpenOffice uno api to iterate through all text in writer document. To iterate over text tables currently I am using XTextTable interface getCellNames() method. How I could detect merged and split cells. I want to export table to html, so I should calculate colspan and rowspan. I would appreciate any suggestions... I am out of ideas :(

• didSelectRowAtIndexPath does not get called when scrolling and selecting a cell

  Hi all, It seems when I scroll my table view that if I select a cell while the table view is still scrolling, didSelectRowAtIndexPath doesn't get called. It works fine when the table view is still. Any ideas on why this might be? Also, is there a way that didSelectRowAtIndexPath can be called on press down? It seems it gets called after my finger/cursor is raised off of the cell. Thanks,

• IE7 Image float bug.

• Visual Studio 2010 and discovery of advantage server error

  I installed VS 2010 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. When I try and connect to an advantage database through the server explorer using the Advanatage OLEDB driver I get a cannot discover advantage database server error. I can connect to the database using the ARC just fine. I was able to connect in VS 2008 just fine. Any ideas on why I can't connect in VS 2010?

  I'm trying to install UML linux. Kernel is 2.6.28. I link to Linux files so that I have a read-only copy that I can revert back to. I then run the commands: make defconfig ARCH=um # works make ARCH=um # errors out at the very end: final close failed: Input/output error make: *** [vmlinux.o] Error 1 Because of this error, my binary vmlinux never gets created so I can't run my own UML Linux. Any ideas?

• jquery with datatables plugin cannot select hidden columns

• Automatically backing up a file to another server?

  I have a backup created of my mysql database (vbulletin forum v3.8) everyday. It's about 360mb in size. It's stored as one text file in a secure folder. I'm thinking of getting another server, through a different host, and somehow automatically transferring the backup to my second server every day. Any ideas on how I could automate this process?
