• What is the best way to go about obscuring Java code?

  Well, I'm planning on releasing a Jar into the world but would prefer if the code was not readably available to anyone with a Java Decompiler as I want to control access to the program with usernames / auth codes etc. After some Googling I haven't found any software to do this for me, so I was wondering what steps to take from here; if anyone can point me at any software or information on methodologies of obscurification I would be grateful. • Good or Bad experiences with CryptoLicensing?

  I'm planning to buy CryptoLicensing but before buying it I'd like to get some feedbacks if anyone tried it before. Also it'd be interesting if anyone cracked it or spotted an easy hack against it.   I was wondering if anyone new how to get access the metadata (the date in particular) from jpg, arw and dng files. I've recently lost the folder structure after a merge operation gone-bad and would like to rename the recovered files according to the metadata. I'm planning on creating a little C++ app to dig into each file and get the metadata. any input is appreciated. ( alternatively, if you know of an app that already does this I'd like to know :)

• Convert dependencies to point to View instead of Table

  I currently have a SQL Server 2008 database in which I am planning to separate out some tables to other databases. I want to be able to replace all references to the separated tables from the original database using views. Is there a better way (other than manually changing all FK and SProc references) to switch all the dependencies to reference the view instead of the table?
