  • Cant get sub-domain created by Plesk working

    Apache 2.2 CentOS Plesk 9.x I am using Plesk to manage my domain names on my virtual host.and GoDaddy for DNS I have created a new sub-domain blog. I can see the httpd.include for example has a new virtualhost entry for blog.example.com I can also see folders have been created for the subdomain blog vhost\example.com folder But when I try to go to blog.example.com - I get an error - basically the host is not getting resolved My site - example.com is working fine otherwise Any idea what could I be missing ? I did try restarting the apache web server as well

  • rsync not writing files

    I'm trying to setup rsync to backup a remote directory to my local drive. I cd to the directory that I want to pull the files to, then I enter: rsync -vrtW [email protected]:~/public_html I enter the password then it starts running. I get all the files listed, but none of them actually transfer. What am I missing? Thanks

  • I accidentally made my new hard drive (the non system drive) my primary partition

    Hi all, When installing a new hard drive, I accidentally formatted it using 'Disk Management' and set it up as my primary active partition, even though it isn't the system drive. Then, when I restarted my machine, Windows wouldn't boot, citing a missing or corrupt SYSTEM folder. Can anyone help me re-enable the system hard drive as my primary active partition? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I am running a wsgi based application that has concurrent users accessing it. For my logs needs I tried logrotate but found that logrotate is not too friendly to Python applications, so I tried using RotatingFileHandler and even worse found my logs all chopped up and part of it went missing! I am considering ConcurrentRotatingFileHandler, my question is, has anyone out there experienced the same thing and better yet do you have any battle tested solution for Python wsgi, concurrently accessed applications?

    have a terminal server 2003 that about 50users can use, users are saving documents on the desktop, today users complain that documents on the desktop is missing, no upgrades or changes has been done the error is that the server reverted to load items the folder name "Desktop" instaed of using the local language "Skrivbord" (swedish for desktop) So the files are still on the server located under the users swedish folder name, but server does not load it, server however does load files located under the English folder name how can the terminal server from one day to another just change from where it loads the user profile desktop files?

  • Where is the statusbar in Firefox 4? How do I get it back?

    Since version 4.0b7pre, there is no more statusbar in Firefox, which has been replaced by the new add-ons bar. The main problem is that a lot of users like me are missing some valuable information that was displayed in the statusbar on previous versions. For instance, when hovering a link the url is now displayed in the address bar and you can't see the entire address. Other information like which servers are being contacted when you load a page are no longer displayed.

    I'm using a Collabnet svn distribution on linux, and the log files are configured through the standard apache httpd.conf. It's been a while since I dealt directly with apache, but my memory and google seem to indicate that the only way to rotate apache log files is outside of apache, using a periodic script. Is there some convenient way I'm missing to rotate these?

    I try to use the php ftp_connect fucntion on my dedicated server and I'm unable to establish a connection: $conn_id = ftp_connect($ftp_server, 21) or die("Unable to connect to $ftp_server") ; I'm sure the function is available as I test with : function_exists('ftp_connect') and it returns true When I ftp the server through the shell I can reach it so I guess it's not a firewall issue. Am I missing something else ? Thanks for your precious advices

  • web services access not being reached thru the web browser [closed]

    I am trying to reference my .asmx webservices in .NET but my server is not exposed to the internet. When I put on the following address I get the message mentioned below. What's the reason for not being able to see the directory? Am I missing something in my IIS configuraction? Am I missing anything in my permissions? Just as reference I have other folders with webservices and I have the same issue. When I login to the server I am doing it with my windows user and password (I am using windows authentication). It's necessary to mention that when I put the URL I am getting a popup screen to put in my userid and password but it seems that's not able to validate since keeps asking me a couple of times.     Does anyone know where plesk pulls its list of available shells under the domain setup page? I am on a box which is missing /bin/bash (chroot), though the majority of the system users on the machine have the shell: /usr/local/psa/bin/chrootsh On a redhat/centos machine, chrootsh is provided by the base psa package. I have also checked that chrootsh is specified in /etc/shells. I have poked around the psa database, but have not been able to ascertain where the drop down box is populated from.

  • How to show the "Home" folder for SSRS 2008 in SQL Management Studio

    I just installed SSRS 2008 on a development server and when I connect to it with SQL Management Studio I do not have all of the items in Object Explorer that I had with our SSRS 2005 installation. For example, we are missing the "Home" folder which lists all the reports. When we browse to our /ReportServer URL we can view and run our reports, so I know they are on the server. Does anyone know if this is a permissions issue or something else?

  • Oracle sysman password reset and enterprise manager

    We are running oracle 10g.yesterday we had to reset sysman(and all other sys acounts)user with alter user command. Password change command worked by oracle enterprise manager does not see the database running. As per oracle docs,we did change the password(and encryption setting) and restarted the dbconsole service. Password does get encrypted after restarted but em still does not see the database online. Are we missing any other important step? Thanks Aboxy

    In an attempt to better fight spam, I've configured Postfix like this: smtpd_client_restrictions = check_client_access hash:/etc/postfix/client_whitelist reject_unknown_client smtpd_recipient_restrictions = permit_mynetworks, permit_sasl_authenticated, reject_unauth_destination reject_non_fqdn_sender, reject_non_fqdn_recipient, reject_unknown_sender_domain, reject_unknown_recipient_domain, reject_unauth_destination, reject_unauth_pipelining, reject_invalid_hostname, reject_rbl_client zen.spamhaus.org, reject_rbl_client bl.spamcop.net, reject_rbl_client l2.apews.org, permit This config has reduced a lot of spam, and with the whitelist I was able to deal with some misconfigured but legitimate servers in order to accept them. However, I'm wondering if this particular whitelisting config will be able to do the job if some other legitimate servers found themselves blacklisted in one of these RBLs. Am I missing something?

  • Emptying site collection recycle bin doesn’t make content DB smaller?

    I deleted everything from a site collection recycle bin and remoted into the SQL server the content database is located on, went to view the WSS_Content and the sucker didn't get smaller. I had about a good 2 or 3 gigs of folders with files in the recycle bin. I just want to make sure that it is getting deleted. Is there something I am missing? Or does the SQL server not update file sizes properly? MOSS2007 IIS6 WinSer2003

    I come across the same problem over and over. I working on computer that is remote and it is missing graphics card drivers. Just has some default drivers that have limited resolution. I would like to install program that will read the chipset on graphics card and tell me the values so I can go on manufacturer website and download the appropriate drivers.     I just got a new desktop PC and was trying to install Windows 7 on it. Unfortunately I don't have a DVD drive in my laptop to burn a DVD image of Windows installation DVD, so I made a installation USB flash drive. Installation started as normal, but after clicking "Install now" I got a message that Windows can't find CD/DVD drivers and installation can't proceed. I wonder what drivers could it be missing.     The old advice to set the REG_DWORD value named RPEnabled (some sources claim it's RPEnable) under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer to 0 doesn't work anymore since the Consumer Preview (i.e. now also for the Release Preview). Yes, I tried both RPEnabled and RPEnable. How can I log into the system and be presented the desktop instead of the metro start screen? I got rid of the lock screen already, so this is the missing piece in the puzzle of making Windows 8 Release Preview usable.
