Is there any kind of Paypal IPN system for amazon? I'm looking through all of the stuff and am only seeing automated reporting and stuff that is after-the-fact.
It looks as though in 2003 or so NCSARequestLog would pick up the system time zone using TimeZone.getDefault().getID(), but in more recent versions it seems as though it's hard-coded to GMT, unless you override it in jetty.xml or programmatically.
If true, this kind of annoying, since it means if you don't want GMT logging you have to edit jetty.xml for every installation (not to mention twice a year for daylight saving time). Is there a workaround that will let Jetty pick the time zone up from the system?
hi,
in python, how can a custom format-specification be added, to a class ? for example, if i write a matrix class, i would like to
define a '%M' (or some such) which would then dump the entire contents of the matrix...
thank you

I'm designing a MFC app in which I'd like to have a grid with 2 coloumns : both editable in which the user will input data and the app will get notified about it. The number of rows can be increased/decreased by the user as he wants - What would be the ideal MFC control to use for this kind of requirement ?
This is my first time designing a MFC app , so dont mind if it sounds too noobish :)
I have these models:
class Bill < ActiveRecord::Base
has_many :calls
has_many :text_messages
end
class Call < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :bill
end
class TextMessage < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :bill
end
Now, in my domain calls and text messages are both "the same kind of thing" -- i.e., they're both "bill items". So I'd like some_bill.bill_items to return all calls and text messages associated with that bill. What's the best way to do this?
Hello,
I come from PHP background and am used to doing var_dump, echo and print_r while doing some kind of debugging.
I have just started on jquery, today is my first day infact and am trying to see if there is a way to dump out value to firebug console.
Do we have similar function to var_dump or echo in jQuery or any other way to get values or debug statements displayed on the console ?
I am building a web app, which is intended to run on the Android browser.
When I have a webpage that contains any kind of viewport meta tag, like this:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=400"/>
My webpage crushes on ajax calls. It happens when using the emulator, the actual browser on my nexus one, and on a droid (all running Android 2.1).
Without the meta tag, the ajax calls run as they should.
Any ideas?
I am developing an iphone application through xcode. I need to show a analog clock in my application. I can show the time in a digital clock but just not been able to show an analog clock. Looking forward to any kind of help.

So, I have this java based data trasformation / masking tool, which I wanted to test out on Oracle 10g. The good part with Oracle 10g is that you get a load of sample schemas with half a million records in some. The schemas are : SH, OE, HR, IX and etc. So, I installed 10g, found out that the installation scripts are under ORACLE_HOME/demo/scripts.
I customized these scripts a bit to run in batch mode. That solves one half of my requirement - to create source data for my testing my data transformation software.
The second half of the requirement is that I create the same schemas under different names (TR_HR, TR_OE and so on...) without any data. These schemas would represent my target schemas. So, in short, my software would pick up data from a table in a schema and load it up in to the same table in a different schema.
Now, I have two issues in creating my target schema and emptying it.
I would like this in a batch job. But the oracle scripts you get, the sample schema names are not configurable. So, I tried creating a script, replacing OE with TR_OE, HR with TR_HR and so on. However, this approach is kind of irritating coz the sample schemas are kind of complicated in the way they are created; Oracle creates synonyms, views, materialized views, data types and lot of weird stuff.
I would like the target schemas (TR_HR, TR_OE,...) to be empty. But some of the schemas have circular references, which would not allow me to delete data. The only work around seems to be removing certain foreign keys, deleting data and then adding the constraints back.
Is there any easy way to all this, without all this fuss? I would need a complicated data set for my testing (complicated as in tables with triggers, multiple hierarchies.. for instance.. a child table that has children up to 5 levels, a parent table that refers to an IOT table and an IOT table that refers to a non-IOT table etc..). The sample schemas are just about perfect from a data set perspective. The only challenge I see is in automating this whole process of loading up the source schemas, and then creating the target schemas and emptying them. Appreciate your help and suggestions.
Hi,
While i was working with an old application with existing database which is in ms-access contains some strange data encoding such as 48001700030E0F465075465A56525E1100121D04121B565A58 as email address
What kind of data encoding is this? i tried base64 but it dosent seems that. Can anybody with previous experience with ms-access could tell me what possible encoding could this be.
Hiya
Im trying to make use of maatkit as a means of dumping a database and then restoring to another database.
For dumps:
mk-parallel-dump --user abc --password xyz --databases $db --base-dir /tmp/dump
For restore:
mk-parallel-restore --create-databases --user abc --password xyz --database devdb /tmp/dump
My question is, is my logic and understanding correct, and would it be ok to do it like this.
Kind Regards
Brent
For Android GUI: I would like to create a window that I can pull up from the bottom of another window, kind of like the Notification bar or the tab in the bottom on Spotify for Android.
I want to be able to grab a small piece of the window and pull it up. Or just click it and it will "pop up". And afterwards be able to pull or click it so it returs to its original space.
Does anyone know a good way to do this?
We have our mail setup with google apps. We want to be able to run some regular expressions on incoming mail and process this information.
Is this possible today with Google App Engine? Does google provide some kind of infrastructure that can do this?
Hello, I have a 1d array containing Nd data, I would like to effectively traverse on it with std::transform or std::for_each.
unigned int nelems;
unsigned int stride=3;// we are going to have 3D points
float *pP;// this will keep xyzxyzxyz...
Load(pP);
std::transform(pP, pP+nelems, strMover<float>(pP, stride));//How to define the strMover??

Ruby on Rails - UltraSphinx
Hi guys, I'm using Ultrasphinx for the search thing.
My question is : I have the "rake ultrasphinx:daemon:start" running in the background. Now, should I have a cron job that does "rake ultrasphinx:index" regularly or will the daemon take care of indexing whenever a new object is created.
Please, let me know. Its kind of emergency.
Thanks
Hi
(Ive looked at the other questions - none seemed to quite fit my problem.)
I have some file-names under Windows 7 that need to be translated in to MySQL database (UTF-8) with Ruby on Rails.
An example file-name includes "íéó" in some kind of Windows 7 file-system encoding.
Ive tried many combinations of gsub and ActiveSupport::Multibyte::Chars.
Thanks for the help
Hi Guys, I'm kind of a git Noob and somehow I got my master and my origin/master branch to diverge. I actually don't want them to be diverged. How can I view these differences and 'merge' them?
Hi,
What does the "Structured" word means in SQL?
Is it because this(SQL) language statements are organized into Clauses, expressions and predicates?
Because of this organization, is it called "Structured" ?
Kind Regards,

I am getting Encoding::UndefinedConversionError at /find/Wroclaw
"\xC5" from ASCII-8BIT to UTF-8
For some mysterious reason sinatra is passing the string as ASCII instead of UTF-8 as it should.
I have found some kind of ugly workaround... I don't know why Rack assumes the encoding is ASCII-8BIT ... anyway, a way is to use string.force_encoding("UTF-8")... but doing this for all params is tedious
Is there a way to format an tag to send a query, pull all Sticky Posts, and loop through them?
Since 'sticky' is not a category, I cant format the link in the normal :
http://mysite.com/category/cars
I'm thinking is probably going to have to be some kind of url query string sent in as GET.
Hi all,
I am creating one application in that i want to give background effect like there are number of starts and something like we are in universe and some starts are getting lighted for few seconds then some other starts etc.
I got one open gles animation of Explosion , but I want that kind of effect using quartz core or Cocos2d so that I can implement other things easily.
if any one do have any idea or any sample for the sample please suggest me.
Thanks in advance
I'm trying to implement turtle graphis in Haskell. The goal is to be able to write a function like this:
draw_something = do
fordward 100
right 90
forward 100
...
and then have it produce a list of points (maybe with additional properties):
> draw_something (0,0) 0 -- start at (0,0) facing east (0 degrees)
[(0,0), (0,100), (-100,100), ...]
I have all this working in a 'normal' way, but I fail to implement it as a Haskell Monad and use the do-notation. The basic code:
data State a = State (a, a) a -- (x,y), angle
deriving (Show, Eq)
initstate :: State Float
initstate = State (0.0,0.0) 0.0
-- constrain angles to 0 to 2*pi
fmod :: Float -> Float
fmod a
| a >= 2*pi = fmod (a-2*pi)
| a < 0 = fmod (a+2*pi)
| otherwise = a
forward :: Float -> State Float -> [State Float]
forward d (State (x,y) angle) = [State (x + d * (sin angle), y + d * (cos angle)) angle]
right :: Float -> State Float -> [State Float]
right d (State pos angle) = [State pos (fmod (angle+d))]
bind :: [State a] -> (State a -> [State a]) -> [State a]
bind xs f = xs ++ (f (head $ reverse xs))
ret :: State a -> [State a]
ret x = [x]
With this I can now write
> [initstate] `bind` (forward 100) `bind` (right (pi/2)) `bind` (forward 100)
[State (0.0,0.0) 0.0,State (0.0,100.0) 0.0,State (0.0,100.0) 1.5707964,State (100.0,99.99999) 1.5707964]
And get the expected result. However I fail to implement this as an instance of Monad.
instance Monad [State] where
...
results in
`State' is not applied to enough type arguments
Expected kind `*', but `State' has kind `* -> *'
In the instance declaration for `Monad [State]'
And if I wrap the list in a new object
data StateList a = StateList [State a]
instance Monad StateList where
return x = StateList [x]
I get
Couldn't match type `a' with `State a'
`a' is a rigid type variable bound by
the type signature for return :: a -> StateList a at logo.hs:38:9
In the expression: x
In the first argument of `StateList', namely `[x]'
In the expression: StateList [x]
I tried various other versions but I never got it to run as I'd like to. What am I doing wrong? What do I understand incorrectly?
Googled for this to no avail. Didn't find anything in the API either. I was expecting some kind of class method or configuration option to set it...
So, rather than calling
from "[email protected]"
for every method, it could be called automatically.
Looking for best approach to convert Java DTO to XML and back while using GWT. I saw GWT has XMLParser in its client package which is a DOM Parser. I'm looking for more like a JAXB kind of plugin feature that I can use with GWT.
