  • Draw a JButton to look like a JLabel (or at least without the button edge?)

    I've got a JButton that for various reasons I want to act like a button, but look like a JLabel. It doesn't actually have to be a JLabel under the hood, I just don't want the raised button edge to show up. Is there an easy way to turn off the "button look" for JButtons but keep all the button functionality? I could build some kind of composed subclass hyperbutton that delegated to a jlabel for display purposes, but I'm really hoping there's something along the lines of button.lookLikeAButton(false).

    I have an idea for an Eclipse plugin which I've been toying with. I need to be able to extend the Eclipse Java Editor component and add coloured overlays to the code based on pluggable external metrics. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any kind of syntax highlighting extension point. Does anyone know how I might be able to extend the exisitng eclipse Java Editor to add custom highlighting rules? Bear in mind I'm new to Eclipse plugin programming so please give as much detail as possible.

Specifically, he needs a way to iterate the properties (and types) of a user-created Class. (In other words, not an external COM object, but an internal "Class Module" as it's called.) Similar to the way that desktop widgets or Rainmeter(rainmeter.net) runs; behind other apps but on top of the desktop wallpaper. I cannot find any C# examples of this kind of behavior.   • How to get more Feed items?

    How would I get the next page or more results for a feed? For example, when I go to Security Now feed page, there is no "next" link of any kind and the url parameter of "page=100" does nothing: http://leoville.tv/podcasts/sn.xml I get only 1 page of results of about 20 episodes. However my Google Reader can successfully retrieve episodes that are earlier than that.
