• creating new usercontrols at runtime in ASP.NET MVC

  Hi everyone, My situation is that the user is creating an entity on my site which contains the particlars of the driectors of that company, name address etc.. The Director form is a separate user control with the appropriate textboxes etc. At run time we don't know how many of these directors there will be so I need one to be able to use something like an "ADD DIRECTOR" or "DELETE DIRECTOR" button which will present or delete the another usercontrol to add the additional director. Currently I am trying to make this happen within a pane of the JQuery Accordion control. I have looked many places for how to do this but to no avail. Can anyone tell me where I might find some inforamation about how I can do this? All the best Paul

• jQuery UI modal dialog box and the close button upper right: how to remove it.

  I need to kill the close 'x' button at the top of the dialog box. I have a modal that opens with an OK button that redirects to the site. The site behind the modal is in an iframe. When the user agrees to the statement in the dialog box and clicks the 'OK' button, it redirects to the site that is outside the iframe. If the user clicks on the 'x', it goes to the iframe site, which I do not want to have happen. I need the modal to work as a one-way to the site it goes to. It basically forces the user to accept the user agreement. I would post code, but its an intranet site. Thanks everyone for your help!

• How should I pass an object wrapping an API to a class using that API?

  Hello everyone :) This is a revised/better written version of the question I asked earlier today -- that question is deleted now. I have a project where I'm getting started with Google Mock. I have created a class, and that class calls functions whithin the Windows API. I've also created a wrapper class with virtual functions wrapping the Windows API, as described in the Google Mock CheatSheet. I'm confused however at how I should pass the wrapper into my class that uses that object. Obviously that object needs to be polymorphic, so I can't pass it by value, forcing me to pass a pointer. That in and of itself is not a problem, but I'm confused as to who should own the pointer to the class wrapping the API. So... how should I pass the wrapper class into the real class to facilitate mocking?

• jQuery .post gets null data

  Hey everyone. This is my first post here, so I hope I'm doing it appropriately. I have several jQuery $.post calls that work just fine. They send data to a PHP script that modifies a database and returns some data. No problem. But this one doesn't work. The returned data is just NULL. $.post("act_addTaskLog.php", {description: $("#logFormDescription").val(), complete: $("#logFormComplete").is(':checked'), taskId: $("#logFormTaskId").val(), user: <?php echo $_SESSION['user']; ?>}, function(data) { alert("data: " + data); } ); I've tried everything I can think of, to no avail. I've even tried just one line in my PHP script: die("true"); Firebug shows that the script is being executed, but it's not completing. The alert message displays just with the label "data:" in it, no actual data. Thanks in advance for your help!

  Hello, everyone! I'm trying to delete a blog post on blogger.com using Blogger API via Prototype Javascript library. I guess that Prototype doesn't work well with HTTP methods other than GET and POST (here's the ticket describing similar problem though proposed patch didn't work for me) Any help is appreciated! The column here corresponds to "Year" (from 2000-2010),the row means "City/Town",the cell is simply the population of a town at a particular year. We are up to doing some analysis like “what town had its first population gain in 10 years?” etc.My question is just about can we do this in Excel,or do we need to export the data to other database(SQL) then do the programming? • WPF Window Drag/Move Boundary

  Hi everyone, just curious if you know of any way to setup a drag boundary for a window? It would be nice to have these properties: Me.MinLeft = 10 Me.MinTop = 10 Me.MaxLeft = 150 Me.MaxTop = 150 Those are made up properties, btw, which would be nice to have. I know I could probably setup a timer to fire ever 10th of a second and check the left and top and then move it back if it's over. But it would be more elegant to have the window act like it hit a wall and can't go any farther, like moving to the edge of the screen or something similar. Edit: There seems to be some confusion somewhere, the point I'm trying to make is in the paragraph above, dragging, not re-sizing.

• Strange jboss console error

  Hello everyone, I'm creating additional module to already multi-module maven project. And for this one I want everything to be like in other modules(meaning dependencies) just to test hello world, then I'll go do some more complex stuff. And it does print hello world as it should when deployed onto jboss server, but I get some strange error on console, had anyone had similar experience? and how can I fix it? • PHP Flush: How Often and Best Practises

  I just finished reading this post: http://developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html#flush and have already implemented a flush after the top portion of my page loads (head, css, top banner/search/nav). Is there any performance hit in flushing? Is there such a thing as doing it too often? What are the best practices? If I am going to hit an external API for data, would it make sense to flush before hand so that the user isn't waiting on that data to come back, and can at least get some data before hand? • Brute force characters into a textbox in c#

  Hey everyone, I am VERY new to programming and the only language I know is C# So I will have to stick with that... I want to make a program that "test passwords" to see how long they would take to break with a basic brute force attack. So what I did was make 2 text boxes. (textbox1 and textbox2) and wrote the program so if the text boxes had the input, a "correct password" label would appear, but i want to write the program so that textbox2 will run a brute force algorithm in it, and when it comes across the correct password, it will stop. I REALLY need help, and if you could just post my attached code with the correct additives in it that would be great. The program so far is extremely simple, but I am very new to this, so. • Search french via Thinking Sphinx in ROR project

  Hello everyone: How can I use sphinx to search french words which the entries in the db is actually english? The situation is: I have a ROR project with a table in the db called "categories", and the category names are in english, category has many "question" entries. In localization file config/locals/fr.yml, these categories were translated to french. Consider about expandability, we can't change the category names in the db to french. User can search by type part of the key word. Here is a example: Category Name: Health and Medical In french: Santé et médecine so how can I do this: type "Santé médecine abc" in the search field and sphinx will return the "questions" under "Health and Medical" category and have keyword "abc"?

• PHP stream_context_set_option SSL certificate as string

  I've got a weird issue. Basically, I need to do this: $handle = stream_context_create(); stream_context_set_option($handle , 'ssl', 'local_cert', '/tmp/cert'); However. The certificate is not held as a file within the server. Rather it's an encrypted string held in a clustered database environment. So instead of the certificate being a file name pointer, its the physical content of the certificate. So instead of using the file name, I need to specify the content of the certificate instead. For example: $cert = '-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----.... upWbwmdMd61SjNCdtOpZcNW3YmzuT96Fr7GUPiDQ -----END CERTIFICATE-----'; Does anyone have any idea whatsoever how on earth I can do this? • IE8 and P3P problems again,

  Have been browsing across the net, and seems everyone who got into this mess, really slogged to get out of it,... and now my turn! http://stackoverflow.com/questions/999534/ie-p3p-iframe-and-blocked-cookies-works-until-page-host-page-has-personal-info been reading alot, and i have a very simple p3p policy here: http: // bit.ly/cCyGi5 and corresponding P3P compact policy: P3P: CP="COM DEM INT NAV OTC PRE PUR STA NOI DSP COR ADMi DEVi OUR BUS" I have validated my P3P policy via the validator at w3c, I have tried "privacy bird" IE extension, and it says my P3P.xml matches with my privacy settings, and has no conflict, my compact policy matches with my P3P policy, coz some where i read IE7 matches the two!!! If i lower my privacy settings in IE, the cookies get restricted, and if i further lower it to allow all, it gets thru, so it is my P3P compact policy the coz, and needs fixing. If someone can guide me in the right direction, or if i can hire someone for an hour or two to look into it. M.

I keep thinking that there must be a better way to express what I want and that I'm probably doing it the wrong way. The code that I'm writing is in the following form: # foo is a dictionary if foo.has_key(bar): foo[bar] += 1 else: foo[bar] = 1 I'm writing this a lot in my programs. My first reaction is to push it out to a helper function, but so often the python libraries supply things like this already. Is there some simple little syntax trick that I'm missing? Or is this the way that it should be done?

We have it included in an automated build system and since it is constantly being worked on we need a solution to be able to package the extension as a .crx file which according to http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/packaging.html can easily be scripted. My question is after packaging the extension is there a known method either through the command-line or some other programmatic way, to install the newly packaged extension in an automated manner?   Ok I know everyone is going to tell me not to use RegEx for parsing HTML, but I'm programming on Android and don't have ready access to an HTML parser (that I'm aware of). Besides, this is server generated HTML which should be more consistent than user-generated HTML. The regex looks like this: Pattern patternMP3 = Pattern.compile( "<A HREF=\"[^\"]+.+\\.mp3</A>", Pattern.CASE_INSENSITIVE | Pattern.UNICODE_CASE); Matcher matcherMP3 = patternMP3.matcher(HTML); while (matcherMP3.find()) { ... } The input HTML is all on one line, which is causing the problem. When the HTML is on separate lines this pattern works. Any suggestions?

I want to implement Zoom-in, Zoom-out kind of effect for a Sprite image, same like camera album images zoom in/out effect. Could someone please guide me how do i implement it? I see somewhere is that, i have to detect two touch events in TouchBegan and then Adjust the Sprite Scale size to up or down based on the distance of two fingers touch event values. Could someone please tell me, How do i detect two fingers touch values in TouchBegan? How to allow to touch and Zoom-in/out of Sprite image by user? Please give me samples. • DCOM: CoCreateInstanceEx returns E_ACCESSDENIED

  I'm working on a DCOM application with the server and client on two machines, both of which are running WinXP with Service Pack 2. On both machines, I'm logged in with the same username and password. When the client on one machine calls CoCreateInstanceEx, asking the other machine to start up the server application, it returns E_ACCESSDENIED. I tried going into the server app's component properties in dcomcnfg and giving full permisions to everyone for everything, but that didn't help. What do I need to do to allow this call to succeed? Update: When the server app is running on a Windows 2000 box, I do not get this error; CoCreateInstanceEx returns S_OK.

  Hello everyone I just read the new User fql table fields at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/user As I can see a lot of the fields have been deprecated such as work_history or books and movies. It is quite essential for my app to get all those fields for my user's friends in a single fql query. If i am not wrong the only way to do this is to get those extra fields using the Graph API by requesting them seperately for every friend of my user. Is there any way to do it in a more efficient way without so many calls? Can I subscribe to real time updates for the request fields for my user's friends (i do not care about the logged in user data)? Thank you a lot
