    Hi! Is it possible to get Flash Media Interactive Server working in conjunction with MogileFS? What it boils down to is that I need FMIS to fetch the FLV files from MogileFS over HTTP. As far as I can tell, however, the FMIS can only fetch and stream files from a local store :/ Anyone have experience with this or other ideas? Thanks!

  • upload form only works in Firefox when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files

    uploadform.html and upload_file.php (below) works fine in Firefox but fails in Chrome, IE, and Safari when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files. Error message is "Invalid file" and problem occurs with multiple computers and multiple .stl files. When I modify the code to support other file types like JPG and PDF it allows those file types in all three web browsers. Also, Firefox only allows the .stl upload if I include application/octet-stream in the mime types section.     Hello, At times the get_file_contents takes too long and that hangs the entire script. Is there any way of setting a time out limit on get_file_contents, without modifying the maximum execution time of the script? Edit: Its taking long because the file does not exist. I am getting "failed to open stream: HTTP request failed!" error. But it takes forever.

If they don't, do I have to put the original class with the byte stream(serialized object) in one package when sending it to another PC? Can the original class be like a DLL file?

    I'm writing out wave files in Java using AudioInputStream output = new AudioInputStream(new ByteArrayInputStream(rawPCMSamples), new AudioFormat(22000,16,1,true,false), rawPCMSamples.length) AudioSystem.write(output, AudioFileFormat.Type.WAVE, new FileOutputStream('somefile.wav')) And I get what appears to be corrupt wave files on OSX. They won't play from Finder however using the same code behind a servlet writing directly to the response stream and setting the Content-Type to audio/wave seems to play fine in quicktime. What gives?

  • When would I want to model a class with a private ctor?

    Hi, I've seen plenty of classes in .NET which have private constructor (Stream is one of them I think). When would I want to model a class like this? I keep thinking that if my class has no internal state/fields, then I can make it have a private constructor. Am I on the right track with this idea? I can understand the use of a factory (I've run into the tipping point a few times), but not with a private constructor class. Thanks

  • Sending floating point values between processes with pipes in C

    Is there a standard way of sending floating point values from a child process to a parent process in C. I have a some calculations where I want to fork a process, then have the child do some busy work, the parent do something else, and then the child send its values (which are doubles) back to the parent (presumably through a pipe). Clearly the parent could parse the stream, but I'm just wondering if there's a cleaner way?

    I'm using Guzzle 4 (latest version) to upload file to a remote server, since it uses stream to upload the $response-getStatusCode() will be 100 which means "Continue" and the responseBody is not available at this point. Is there a way to catch the remote server response when the upload is done?
