  • Facebook Connect Post Feed from iPhone App without preview Broken!? URGENT!

    Hello All: I just downloaded the latest FBConnect build, popped in my keys and getting a mysterious hanging error only when I try to post a feed without previewing (setting preview to zero). The activity indicated disappears and the blank dialog window just hangs there. (This mirrors what I was getting on the app I was developing). If I try to post a feed with preview it works; set preview to zero it just hangs. Again; thats with the sample project "Publish Feed" button. Hitting getting permission button and then Publish Feed does same thing...... Other Developers have confirmed seeing this too...Apps that have previously had working feed posts have been broken for weeks. Discussions on facebook connect forum seem to be related to this. More Info Here: http://forum.developers.facebook.com/ I have to submit my app to apple in less than 3 hours... please assist!

Whilst we set about reorganizing them, I thought it would be a good idea to list some of the more important ones.     I would like to know whether these free SMS alert sites such as My Today SMS, Alertix pay for the sites such as religate, oneindia.in e.t.c, Or they just mention in their website that this service powered by Oneindia. What I would like to know is whether these people pay any royalty/monthly/annual fee for these religate/oneindia, by which I also mean: Are there any legal issues attached to extracting data from the RSS feeds these websites provide for services like free SMS alerts?

  • Django simple syndication example gives: ImportError, cannot import name Feed

    I'm trying to set up the simple syndication example from the Django docs, in a working project. But I'm getting an ImportError, even though I'm sure I've copied the example exactly. Here's what I have in feeds.py: from django.contrib.syndication.views import Feed class LatestEntriesFeed(Feed): # etc And here's what I have in urls.py: from election.feeds import LatestEntriesFeed #... further down, at the appropriate line... # RSS feed (r'^feed/$', LatestEntriesFeed()), But Django says it can't import the Feed class from django.contrib.syndication.views: ImportError at /feed/ cannot import name Feed ....feeds.py in <module> from django.contrib.syndication.views import Feed Any ideas? I'm baffled!

  • Google Reader API - feed/[FEEDURL]/ is coming back as Not found

    There is one feed I'm subscribed to which always turns up as NOT FOUND when I try to use the API. I return an array of Dictionaries, containing 3 objects. The first in the list represents the user himself, like so: { FeedID = "user/MY_UNIQUE_NUMBER/state/com.google/reading-list"; Timestamp = 1273448807271463; Unread = 59; } The Unread count is very important. My client depends on downloading 59 items from Google before it refreshes. If a feed doesn't download properly, the count is off and the client won't update. An example of a working Feed is here: { FeedID = "feed/http://arstechnica.com/index.rssx"; Timestamp = 1273447158484528; Unread = 13; } The FeedID value combines with a specially formatted URL string and gives back a list of articles. The above example works fine. However, the following feed always returns NOT FOUND on Google, and if I paste the URL verbatim into a browser, it never turns up. See here: { FeedID = "feed/http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?feed=rss2"; Timestamp = 1273424138183529; Unread = 6; } http://www.google.com/reader/api/0/stream/contents/feed/http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?feed=rss2?ot=1&r=n&xt=user/-/state/com.google/read&n=6&ck=1273449028&client=testClient If you are at all proficient with the API, can you please help me? Like I said, since Google always says NOT FOUND when I search for that feed, my download count is off by N articles and won't update. I would rather not hack around it, honestly. Thanks!

    By default, Wordpress posts are added to RSS feed. For my website, I want to include Wordpress pages to RSS feed. I know that some plugins could help me. Instead, I try to use redirect 301 in .htacccess file. My question is, will this way work fine for Google and other search engines? Here’s what I did: Published a new page and then a new post with the same title, desc, keywords and content (though I know that if there’s redirect 301 Google won’t "read" the post but switch to the page) Added the line Redirect 301 etc. to my .htacccess file Now my post is listed in RSS feed, and when you click on it you’re redirected to the page

  • How to subscribe to a youtube feed from linux command line?

    I want to subscribe to a youtube channel and automatically download new videos to my linux machine. I know I could do this e.g. with miro, but I will not watch the videos using Miro, want to choose the quality and would like to run it as a cronjob. It should be able to: know which feed entries are new and not download old entries resume (or at least redownload) failed/incomplete downloads from older sessions Are there any complete solutions for this? If not it would be enough for me (maybe even preferable) to just have a command line rss reader that remembers which entries have already been there and writes the new video urls (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FodYFMaI4vQ&feature=youtube_gdata from http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/tedxtalks/uploads) into a file. I could then accomplish the rest using a bash script and youtube-dl. What would be programs usable for this purpose?

    There are numerous ways to get the podcast feed for standard iTunes podcasts like this or this, however, neither of these methods work on the podcast feeds in iTunes U. I don't want to use iTunes, how can I find the alternative xml podcast feed? Here's one for example: http://deimos3.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/Feed/fora.tv.1901773207.01901773213 How can I subscribe to this feed outside of iTunes? I have tried emailing the publisher (Fora.tv) numerous times but they never respond.

    I am currently working on a educational and fun 2-in-1 game. As I am not a professional, I need advice on story and news-feed. The goal is simple-get richer, the story is about a worker who is trying to get over his/her financial problems and become rich. During the whole gaming process there is a news-feed (every day there are a couple of fresh news about what is going on). The news are fresh and individual so I need to write about 2000 pieces of news for 2 year gaming, maybe more. The problem is that I am not sure whether repetitive news can interest in this game. What can be done to make the news-making process easier but not boring from the point of view of the player?

  • exchange live feed with pre-recorded video for wireless internet camera to router

    I wasn't sure if this should be asked in Web Applications, or Network Engineering, or what... Long story short, I have a video camera with mic that is wirelessly connected to a router (NETGEAR R6200), which can then be viewed through an online service. I would like to be able to somehow exchange the live feed with a pre-recorded video, or image, preferably with pre-recorded sound (the sound of silence would be easiest). Can I place this inbetween the camera and the router, do I need to redirect the camera feed to my laptop first, and then push out the fake video/audio onto the router, without the service knowing the difference?     The next tutorial that has been thoroughly restructured and rewritten is: NetBeans Platform Feed Reader Tutorial Originally written by Rich Unger, it was one of the very first NetBeans Platform tutorials that ever existed. In this particular rewrite, the entire structure of the tutorial has changed, in an attempt to make the flow more "bite size", rather than a big lump. Also, thanks to recent NetBeans Platform changes, there are no Bundle files anymore, all Strings are declared via @Messages annotations. Theoretically, the browser in the application could be a JavaFX WebView, though the browser part of the application isn't a central theme of the tutorial, hence only a reference is made to the JavaFX alternative.     My rails app gets the following JSON feed from mixcloud and sticks the results into my index page At the moment when I do this, the entire contents of my feed are displayed unformatted in one big blob of scary looking text (without the curly JSON brackets) I only want to display specific values from the feed in the view. From the feed in question lets say for simplicity that I just wanted to display all values with a key of "url" In case I'm doing something wrong here's my code: # podcast controller def index # I'm using a class method to get the feed @feed = Podcast.feed end # podcast model def self.feed feed = JSON.parse(open("http://api.mixcloud.com/alivefrommaryhill/feed").read) end # index.html.haml .feed = @feed I can't figure out how to style the results and display only certain items from the feed.     I installed TeamCity and enabled NuGet server, both Authenticated Feed and Public Feed. When I try to push packages to the server with the following command: > nuget push package.nupkg [API-Key-here] -s http://myserver/httpAuth/app/nuget/v1/FeedService.svc/ I get the following prompt: Please provide credentials for: http://myserver/httpAuth/app/nuget/v1/FeedService.svc/ And asks me for both "UserName" and "Password". I've tried entering credentials for TeamCity administrator and Windows administrator, but nothing works. So I tried pushing to the Public Feed with the following command: > nuget push package.nupkg [API-Key-here] -s http://myserver/guestAuth/app/nuget/v1/FeedService.svc/ Then I get the following: Failed to process request. 'Method Not Allowed'. The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed.. Regarding the Authenticated Feed, what credentials are they and where do I specify them and why is the Public Feed not working?

    Hello there, I am making my first RSS-Feed, and I want to host it like this: www.example.com/rss/ I tried to name the xml-file "index.xml" and place it inside the directory, however, when I type http://www.example.com/rss/ i arrive at "Index of /rss" where the file is listed as being part of the directory, but it is not loaded automatically.
