• question about working with System.Drawing.Graphics

  hi all. i have a System.Drawing.Point[] filled with some System.Drawing.Point's. so when i want to draw this points as a polygon in a System.Windows.Form instance , the final drawn polygon is not all in the screen or sometimes is very small (in screen shown as 2-3 pixel). i wonder if there is some Library that using that i can just send Point[] to that and thatself scales and ... points and draws polygon manner that all points shown in screen and they are scaled to fit the screen (i mean small objects that shown as 2-3 pixel scale up to fit entire screen); thaks all and sorry for my bad english...

• How to use regular expression and assign result into valuables in Android??

  Dear all, I have to say sorry for my poor English first... I have a string named s_Result which will be parsed from Internet, the format may be "Distance: 2.8km (about 9 mins)", and there are 4 variables which are f_Distance, m_DistanceUnit, f_timeEst, m_timeEstUnit. My question is, how to parse s_Result and assign 2.8, km, 9, mins into f_Distance, m_distanceUnit, f_timeEst, and m_timeEstUnit respectively using regular expression?? I tried using "\d+(.\d+)?" in RegEx Tester and the result showed 2 matches found, but if use "\\d+(\\.\\d+)?" in Android code, it showed nothing matched!!! Is there any suggestion?? • vim - how am I suppose to read this command to remove all blanks at the end of a line

  I happened across this page full of super useful and rather cryptic vim tips at http://rayninfo.co.uk/vimtips.html. I've tried a few of these and I understand what is happening enough to be able to parse it correctly in my head so that I can possibly recreate it later. One I'm having a hard time getting my head wrapped around though are the following two commands to remove all spaces from the end of every line :%s= *$== : delete end of line blanks :%s= \+$== : Same thing I'm interpreting %s as string replacement on every line in the file, but after that I am getting lost in what looks like some gnarly variation of :s and regex. I'm used to seeing and using :s/regex/replacement. But the above is super confusing. What do those above commands mean in english, step by step?

• Catching an error for a child resource in Ruby on Rails

  What is the best way to add errors to render if a child resource is really what's having issues and not the parent resource? In english what I mean is the following.. imagine the following code: @foo = Foo.new foochild = Foochild.new // break foochild somehow @foo << foochild @foo.save now when I do: format.xml { render :xml => @foo.errors } I don't get anything about how foochild broke, meaning the error message is useless to the user. How does one go about fixing this?

  Since there are so many valid characters for email addresses, are there any valid email addresses that can in themselves be XSS attacks or SQL injections? I couldn't find any information on this on the web. The local-part of the e-mail address may use any of these ASCII characters: Uppercase and lowercase English letters (a–z, A–Z) Digits 0 to 9 Characters ! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` { | } ~ Character . (dot, period, full stop) provided that it is not the last character, and provided also that it does not appear two or more times consecutively (e.g. [email protected]). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-mail_address#RFC_specification I'm not asking how to prevent these attacks (I'm already using parametrized queries and HTML purifier), this is more a proof-of-concept. The first thing that came to mind was 'OR [email protected], except that spaces are not allowed. Do all SQL injections require spaces?

• "digg" button and encoded url :S

  Hi! I wrote a php site (it's still a prototype) and i placed a "Digg" button. Placing the button was easy but.... Official manual says "url has to be encoded". I did that with urlencode(). After urlencode, my url looks like this: http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mysite.com%2Fen%2Fredirect.php%3Fl%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.othersite.rs%2FNews%2FWorld%2F227040%2FRusia-Airplane-crashed%26N%3DRusia%3A+Airplane+crashed So far, so good but when i want to submit that url to digg, it is recognized as invalid url: http://www.mysite.com/en/redirect.php?l=http://www.othersite.rs/News/World/227040/Rusia-Airplane-crashed&N=Rusia:+Airplane crashed If i place a "+" between "Airplane" and "crashed" (mere end of a link), then digg recognize it without any problems! Please help, this bizare problem is killing my braincells! P.S. for purpose of this answer urls are changed (nonexisting) because, in original, non-english sites are involved P.S.S.   Dear Guys I am somehow newbie and sometimes guru , but at this moment i don't have enough time to research My nightmare is , my boss ask me to create an interactive floor ( he just saw in an exhibition ) , he ask me to create one of them instead of buying , i am an actionscript crawler and developer with some skills in java and c# programming , i just made some track motion with a simple web cam , and this idea came to my mind if i can use an infrared or thermographic camera instead of simple camera so i can get better positioning if camera place at top of floor ! Now i just came here to ask you guys is there any resource , tip , help i can know before getting into this deal !? is there any lib or api out to deal with this ?! • fancybox encoding issue

  i am using fancybox.net for my light boxes. it works great with images. but when i use iframe option i am having problems with encoding. i use hebrew and english and russian on my website. when i use UTF-8 on the iframe page i get squares instead of hebrew letters. when i change to iso-8859-8 i have hebrew but inverted, and russian goes: ??????????? any idea? my website is UTF-8 and every thing works great.. except fancybox :(

• No Cookies at second Webrequest

  Hello, I write a little Tool in C# with Visual Studio 2008. My Problem: I login to a website by HTTP-webrequest, I get an authentification cookie, thats all ok. Than I make a new HTTP-webrequest and add the cookies from the first request to call the next page where i can see my personal data. I see that the cookies will associated with the second request if I debug it but if I check the network traffic I see that are no Cookies transmitted at the second request. I tried many possibilities to see why i dont work but i found nothing. Does somebody have the same problem or know a solution? (Sorry for bad english)

• How to flush output after each `echo` call?

  Hi all! I've a php script that only produces logs to the client. When I echo something, i wan't it to be transfered to client on-the-fly. (Because while the script is processing, the page is blank) I had already played arround with ob_start() and ob_flush(), but they didn't worked. What's the best solution? • how to import other schema jars when using the scomp tool

  there is a huge amount of xml schemas for the business, some of them are common types like Money.xsd, Address.xsd, etc, while others are business specific like Customer.xsd, ShippingOrder.xsd, etc. So I decide to compile these schemas into 2 jars, one is commonbeans.jar, the other is businessbeans.jar. I've separated them into different folders. to build the commonbeans.jar is simple, just run "scomp -out commonbeans.jar ....\common*.xsd"; while run "scomp -out businessbeans.jar ....\business*.xsd" is a different story, there are errors say can't find those common types, and run "scomp -out businessbeans.jar ....\business*.xsd ....\business*.xsd" will blindly duplicate all the common types into the businessbeans.jar. so is there any way to link the commonbeans.jar when compile those busimess schemas, maybe something like "scomp -out businessbeans.jar ....\business*.xsd commonbeans.jar". I hope my poor english has expressed my issue!

  hi, I am kind of stuck on this one. im not a java or oracle guru, so please give detailed answers :) i've a web-service that inserts something into DB. the web-service is hosted on axis. the db is oracle with following properties: NLS_LANGUAGE AMERICAN NLS_TERRITORY AMERICA NLS_CHARACTERSET ZHS16GBK the web-service is hosted on windows server 2008, english version but i have changed the locale of the system to chinese now the data after insert has encoding problem and shows strange characters like ????,exxk?? the jws file has GBK encoding. and the data that is inserted into the DB is hard-coded in the file [we are not reading it from REQUEST]

• Which collation should I use to store these country names in MySQL?

  I am trying to store a list of countries in a mySQL database. I am having problems storing (non English) names like these: São Tomé and Príncipe República de El Salvador They are stored with strange characters in the db, (and therefore output strangely in my HTML pages). I have tried using different combinations of collations for the database and the MySQL connection collation: The "obvious" setting was to use utf8_unicode_ci for both the databse and the connection information. To my utter surprise, that did not solve the problem. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

I want to select incoming hits (direction:1) and group by sites that are: from same ip and browser logged within 10 minutes of each other occured more than 4 times in 10 minutes. I'm not sure if above was clear enough. English is not my first language. Let me try to explain with an example. If site 1 gets 5 hits from same ip and browser with in 10 minutes after getting first unique hit from that ip and browser i want it to be included in the selection. Basically I am trying to find abusers.

Of course, i will not publish all this pages at the same time, but i'm looking for infos on how much pages should i start with without going to the sandbox. I would like to use "key navigation" and for that, i use the keypress event with down/up key ) When my mouse is over a div (div who's contenaing a big table) and i pull the down key : i scroll to next td + change css style + remove the current style And again, for each event.. So, because my mouse is over the main div, each time i scroll (auto) to a element, the mouseover event is triggered .. And so, the effect is missed.. This is the perfect script : User use keyboard navigation : Mouseover is disabled (so style change only with up/down key) User don't use keyboard : mouseover change the style Could you help me ? • Git: What is a tracking branch?

  Can someone explain a "tracking branch" as it applies to git? Here's the definition from git-scm.com: A 'tracking branch' in Git is a local branch that is connected to a remote branch. When you push and pull on that branch, it automatically pushes and pulls to the remote branch that it is connected with. Use this if you always pull from the same upstream branch into the new branch, and if you don't want to use "git pull" explicitly. Unfortunately, being new to git and coming from SVN, that definition makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm reading through "The Pragmatic Guide to Git" (great book, by the way), and they seem to suggest that tracking branches are a good thing and that after creating your first remote (origin, in this case), you should set up your master branch to be a tracking branch, but it unfortunately doesn't cover why a tracking branch is a good thing or what benefits you get by setting up your master branch to be a tracking branch of your origin repository. Can someone please enlighten me (in English)?

I've found a Tutorial that suggest that you need access to server's http.conf - this is quite unlikely on shared hosting. Is it really neccesary? Maybe You can set it up with .htaccess or any other way. Namely: what should I do to have such a configuration working ? My question is: Let's say I have the following code.. char* buf = (char*) malloc(1024); ... for(; i<20; i++) { if(read(fd, buf, 1024) == -1) { // read off a file and store in buffer perror("read failed"); return 1; } ... } free(buf); what i'm trying to get at is that - what if an error occurs at read()? does that mean my allocated memory never gets freed? • Why would LaTeX ignore the font size in the documentclass

  I have a LaTeX file. I'm experimenting with trying to reduce the font size (this is related to my other question here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2636647/latex-changing-the-font-size-for-a-document-but-in-the-preamble-not-the-docum ). The LaTeX file is generated from another programme. I have edited it to start with \documentclass[4pt,a4paper,english]{report} i.e. I am trying to make the text really small. However it doesn't work. I change that 4pt to anything and the font size is the same. When running pdflatex on it, I get this message printed out. LaTeX Warning: Unused global option(s): [4pt]. That might explain why the error message is What could be going on here? How do I make it use the font size in the documentclass definition?
