  Hey, I am using a FormView and when I want to update something I have edited, I always get this error: No value given for one or more required parameters.   We have two Windows 2008 R2 SP1 servers running in a SQL failover cluster. On one of them we are getting the following events in the security log every 30 seconds. The parts that are blank are actually blank. Has anyone seen similar issues, or assist in tracking down the cause of these events? No other event logs show anything relevant that I can tell. • Emails forwarded via postfix get flagged as spam and forged in Gmail

  I'm trying to setup a forwarding only email server. I'm running into the problem where all messages forwarded via postfix are getting put into gmail's spam folder and getting flagged as forged. I'm testing a very similar setup on a cpanel box and their forwarded emails make it through without any problem. • Intermittent Connection Issues to SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM

  The problem I am facing is a very complex one and inspite of trying to gather a root cause of the problem, I am standing at the same place after 2 months with just bits and pieces of information.Here is a scenario: There is a windows 2003 server which uses an system DSN ODBC connection. I looked into the driver properties and it is as follows: Name Version File SQL Server 2000.86.3959.00 SQLSRV32.DLL Now, this system DSN has been given configured with TCP\IP in Network Libraries and 'determine port dynamically' is checked. Now, lets come to the database destination. It is hosted on Windows 2008 having SQL 2008 R2 RTM version 64-bit. Now, I will give you a an overview about the events that happen and whatever troubleshooting I could perform: I get an email saying 'blah blah' failed and the only message their application gets is 'cannot connect to database' I go the SQL Server logs and find the following information: Login failed for user ''. Reason: An attempt to login using SQL authentication failed. Server is configured for Windows authentication only. [CLIENT: 10.0.0.xx Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 58.] A quick search shows that this error may come when an SQL Server is configured with windows authentication but its not true. We have mixed mode and connection issue is intermittent. This SQL Server is configured to run on a local system account but since we use only SQL Server accounts to connect to this, there should not be any Kerberos errors. When I run a profiler trace and see only 'existing connections', i see a lot of them coming from my client server displaying the sql user but NO hostname is shown. Textdata field shows TCP\IP information along with some arithabort and ansi-null settings. • Apache Reverse Proxy not working inside a VirtualHost running a Mono Web Application

  I have a mono web application running with this virtual host below. It is running on Apache 2.2.20 / Ubuntu 11.10. I tried to add a reverse proxy inside this virtualhost so I can make asynchronous or AJAX type calls back to this same domain. My asynchronous requests would have problems in many browsers calling services that are on another domain (cross domain requests problem). I am wanting to do reverse proxy calls to this other service using http://www.whatever.com/monkey/. So, I added the directive and top directive to try to make this work. It is weird though...nothing I do seems to have any effect. I can put the exact same markup in my default website virtualhost file and it works great. What is the deal? • Improving SAS multipath to JBOD performance on Linux

  Hello all I'm trying to optimize a storage setup on some Sun hardware with Linux. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. We have the following hardware: Sun Blade X6270 2* LSISAS1068E SAS controllers 2* Sun J4400 JBODs with 1 TB disks (24 disks per JBOD) Fedora Core 12 2.6.33 release kernel from FC13 (also tried with latest 2.6.31 kernel from FC12, same results) Here's the datasheet for the SAS hardware: http://www.sun.com/storage/storage_networking/hba/sas/PCIe.pdf It's using PCI Express 1.0a, 8x lanes. With a bandwidth of 250 MB/sec per lane, we should be able to do 2000 MB/sec per SAS controller. Each controller can do 3 Gb/sec per port and has two 4 port PHYs. We connect both PHYs from a controller to a JBOD. So between the JBOD and the controller we have 2 PHYs * 4 SAS ports * 3 Gb/sec = 24 Gb/sec of bandwidth, which is more than the PCI Express bandwidth. With write caching enabled and when doing big writes, each disk can sustain about 80 MB/sec (near the start of the disk). With 24 disks, that means we should be able to do 1920 MB/sec per JBOD. multipath { rr_min_io 100 uid 0 path_grouping_policy multibus failback manual path_selector "round-robin 0" rr_weight priorities alias somealias no_path_retry queue mode 0644 gid 0 wwid somewwid } I tried values of 50, 100, 1000 for rr_min_io, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. Along with varying rr_min_io I tried adding some delay between starting the dd's to prevent all of them writing over the same PHY at the same time, but this didn't make any difference, so I think the I/O's are getting properly spread out. According to /proc/interrupts, the SAS controllers are using a "IR-IO-APIC-fasteoi" interrupt scheme. For some reason only core #0 in the machine is handling these interrupts. I can improve performance slightly by assigning a separate core to handle the interrupts for each SAS controller: echo 2 /proc/irq/24/smp_affinity echo 4 /proc/irq/26/smp_affinity Using dd to write to the disk generates "Function call interrupts" (no idea what these are), which are handled by core #4, so I keep other processes off this core too. I run 48 dd's (one for each disk), assigning them to cores not dealing with interrupts like so: taskset -c somecore dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mapper/mpathx oflag=direct bs=128M oflag=direct prevents any kind of buffer cache from getting involved. None of my cores seem maxed out. The cores dealing with interrupts are mostly idle and all the other cores are waiting on I/O as one would expect.   I'm having trouble setting up the appropriate Pure-FTPD accounts and permissions - I have the following sites setup up on my Debian server. /var/www/site1 /var/www/site2 /var/www/wordpress The permissions are 775 for folders and 664 for files. The owner is currently admin:ftpgroup Wordpress also requires special permissions for file uploads in /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/uploads What I need is: a general admin group with access to /var/www a group for each site (site1, site2, wordpress) and a group or user, not www-data (?), with permissions to write files to the wordpress upload folder I ask because restrictions on linux groups (can't have groups in groups) makes it a little bit confusing and also because many of the tutorial sites have conflicting information like, some recommend the use of www-data and some don't. Also, I'm not sure if I understand how Pure-FTP is supposed to work exactly. I create a Pure-FTPD account and assign it a directory (/var/www) and a system user (ftpuser) and group (ftpgroup): Can I assign more than 1 path? For example, if a user requires access to 2 sites. Is it better to assign ftpgroup to all ftp locations and let Pure-FTPD manage account access? Why would anyone have more than 1 ftpuser or ftpgroup? (Doesn't it mean users have access to everyone else's files if they could get there?) Sorry for so many questions at once. I've been reading lots of tutorials but I think they've ended up making me more confused!

• WHM new account nameservers not responding

  I've setup a new account in WHM and updated the nameservers from Domain Registrar and it's not responding from the server. So I went to DNS functions and Nameserver IP's and I have the following ns1.example.com.au No IP 4 ns2.example.com.au No IP 4 I'm not sure whether "NO IP" part is the problem I went in to the domains and they seem to be properly set up. Below is what my Domain Registrar responded with my ticket. those nameservers are either a) offline/not responding or b) not set up correctly as nameservers. Is there a place I can check in WHM to make nameservers respond correctly? The nameservers I updated with above ns1.example.com.au and ns2.example.com.au but it's not working. WHM version is: WHM 11.32.2 (build 18)

• NAT cause huge External (actually internal) bandwidth usage

  We have 4 servers running in a data center, with internal IP: 192.168.3.* assigned. A hardware (FORTIGATE) firewall configured NAT, and it will lead the traffic as: external IP: 111.222.333.10 -> 192.168.3.10 www.server1.com 111.222.333.11 -> 192.168.3.11 www.server2.com 111.222.333.12 -> 192.168.3.12 www.server3.com In DNS, we have www.server1.com A 111.222.333.10 Now if I send a lot of data to www.server1.com from www.server2.com, the data will be send through 111.222.333.10 (external IP) and this cause our bandwidth usage huge (expensive!). The work around I have is to add a local host mapping to server2: 192.168.3.10 www.server1.com. That way when send files from server2 to www.server1.com, it will be internal. However, we are having more and more servers, it would be hard to manually add mapping to every server. Just wondering do we have another solution for this? Can we do something in the FORTIGATE firewall? ps. The DNS server being used is public, such as opendns, Google dns etc.

  I am trying to redirect a www.example.com to www.example.org. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have ensured that mod_rewrite is enabled in httpd.conf with: LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so I further verify this by running: httpd -M and getting rewrite_module (shared) included in the results.   I have a blog. The blog is stored under the /blog/ prefix on my website. It has the usual URLs for a blog, so articles have URLs in the format /blog/:year/:month/:day/:title/. First and foremost, I want to automatically redirect visitors to the www subdomain (in case they leave that off), and internally rewrite the root URL to /blog/, so that the front page of the blog appears on the front page of the site.   I'm trying to setup Apache(2.2.3) to run two websites with SSL using both different domains and IP addresses. Both websites run fine on port 80 but when I tried to enable SSL for website2 I get a ssl_error_bad_cert_domain error; website2 picks up the SSL cert for website1.   I have an ubuntu apache/php server running php doing appx 100 hits/sec and a PHP cron running in the background. I get occasionally high CPU load on one of the Apache processes which stays high regardless of traffic or cron activity. It seems to me that its stuck in some kind of loop or something.   I have a website the contact form has been failing silently for two weeks (Wordpress + Contact form 7). Apparently updating to Contact Form 7 made the assigned email to fail [email protected], I also tested with [email protected] and it also failed until I tried with gmail and it finally worked. Apparently @telefonica.net and @me.com domains are not working with this version of the plugin, but I have to investigate the cause. I found the logs of the lost emails, but I would like to know If I can recover the sender or the content of the original messages.   I am trying to install Predis, but keep getting a 500 Server errror. Here is what I have done. 1.) Have apache and php installed on Ubuntu Natty. 2.) Used the instructions on this page http://redis.io/download to download Redis. 3.) Ran the following example to confirm that Redis is working: $ src/redis-cli redis> set foo bar OK redis> get foo "bar" 4.) Have a local website at /home/user/Dropbox/documents/www/mywebsite.com/index.php and have confirmed that php is working. 5.) Downloaded the .zip version of Predis ( https://github.com/nrk/predis Version: v0.6.6-PHP5.2 ), and unzipped the contents to /home/user/Dropbox/documents/www/mywebsite.com/. So now Predis is here: /home/user/Dropbox/documents/www/mywebsite.com/nrk-predis-3bf1230/ 6.) Opened the /home/user/Dropbox/documents/www/mywebsite.com/index.php page.
