  • CascadingDropDownList not working with anonymous access

    Hi everyone, I use a CascadingDropDownList of the AJAXControlToolkit in a ASP.NET MCMS 2002 web application. The CascadingDropDownList works as expected until "Anonymous access" and "Integrated Windows Authentication" flags are both checked (and this is the situation in the production environment) in the Directory Security settings on the website under IIS. The error I get is: 500 Internal Server Error No web service found at: If I uncheck the anonymous access or the windows authentication everything is ok. Any suggestions?

  • Capistrano, Mercurial and branches

    It is my understanding that although Mercurial has support from branches, the community generally clone repos instead of creating branches. Similar to the Darcs model, unlike the Git model. I'm deploying a Ruby on Rails app with Capistrano and there I'd like to separate the production from the development branch. Should I point Capistrano to a different repo or should I use branches?

I've done the operation plenty of times via the GUI but when executing from the commandline I'm a little confused by the various switches, in particular, the filenames and being sure ownership is correctly replicated.     On LAMP production server I get the 'too many connections' error from MYSQL occasionally, I want to add monitoring to find if the reason is that I exceed the max-connections limit. My question: How can I query from mysql or from mysqladmin the current number of used connections? (I noticed that show status gives total connections and not the currently used ones.)

  • "Official" Way to deploy Assemblies into the GAC?

    I just wonder - if I need to deploy an assembly into the GAC, what is the "official" way of doing it? Currently we either manually drag/drop into the c:\windows\assembly folder or we use gacutil.exe. The first way is obviously not the good one (it's manual process after all), and gacutil is part of the SDK and not available per default on production servers. Are there any Microsoft deployment Guidelines?

    I've got a schema containing partitioned tables. I can use exp to create a .dmp, but when I import that into Oracle XE, I get errors because Oracle XE doesn't support partitioned tables. How do I get the .dmp imported into Oracle XE? I think pre-creating the tables might do it, but how do I extract the DDL in some automated way to do this? Or can I create the exp somehow without partitions?

    I've used emacs for decades and always wondered, but kept on coding, if there was a way to type in something, them move the cursor and insert the same text, like the VI . command. Instead what I do is to type the text, set the mark, backup, copy the region, go to the next spot (often just C-n, down one line) and then pre-arg yank, C-u C-y. It's the overhead of set mark, backup and copy region that makes me just go ahead and retype the thing.

    Hi guys: Searched on here and got some vague answers, so I thought i'd rephrase the problem to get some clearer answers- Right now I have an SQL Lite db that reads/parses information from a pre-formatted .txt file. When I open the app, there is a slight 'lag' as the iDevice parses the info, then gets fetched for the iDevice. I'm just wondering if there's any way to just 'save' all the information directly in the xCode so there's no lag/fetch time? Thank you.

    I am looking for a way to automate the production of an offline product catalog using product data contained in an SQL Server database. I have thought about using both Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services for this but there may be something better suited for the job.
