  • stdout and stderr character encoding

    i working on a c++ string library that have main 4 classes that deals with ASCII, UTF8, UTF16, UTF32 strings, every class has Print function that format an input string and print the result to stdout or stderr. my problem is i don't know what is the default character encoding for those streams. for now my classes work in windows, later i'll add support for mac and linux so if you know anything about those stream encoding i'll appreciate it. thank you.

    I am trying to implement FTP over SSL to upload encrypted files. I've created a SSL certificate and send it to the vendor. But I couldn't make a FTPS connection to the server. When connecting via FTPS, I'm authenticating using my private key file. I have tried .NET FTPWebRequest, SmartFTp,CuteFTP Pro. I am getting the following error:- A call to SSPI failed. See inner exception.   • How to only round selected corners in a fancytitle box with Tikz

    If you take a look at http://www.texample.net/tikz/examples/boxes-with-text-and-math/ the boxes there are with rounded corners. In the examples, both the box itself and the title is a box. I want the title box to not have the bottom corners rounded. On page 120 in the manual, there is a description of how to draw with and without rounded corners. However, I want to use this in a fancytitle. SELECT TYPES WHERE IsDirectlyUsing "ASSEMBLY:Framework.Data" AND !(DeriveFrom "App.BaseTypes.BusinessFacadeBase" OR DeriveFrom "App.BaseTypes.BusinessComponentBase" OR DeriveFrom "App.BaseTypes.DataAccessComponentBase") Now I wish to drill down further to see which methods from those classes are actually doing so. But the thing is if I change the query target from TYPES to METHODS then DeriveFrom is not going to apply. How can these criteria be preserved?

I want my server to run some JUnit tests in my testproject everytime I commit my code from my Android Project. Is there a best practise to do this? So far I only managed to run the tests when they are a part of a while the JUnit tests and Android classes are separated into 2 different projects, since JUnit runs on JVM and Android in an emulator on DVM (Dalvik Virtual Machine).

Based on the parameters passed, I want to construct the column names to be selected from a particular table.     I'm trying to access a method that is marked as internal in the parent class (in its own assembly) in an object that inherits from the same parent. Let me explain what I'm trying to do... I want to create Service classes that return IEnumberable with an underlying List to non-Service classes (e.g. the UI) and optionally return an IEnumerable with an underlying IQueryable to other services. I wrote some sample code to demonstrate what I'm trying to accomplish, shown below. The example is not real life, so please remember that when commenting. All services would inherit from something like this (only relevant code shown): public class ServiceBase<T> { protected readonly ObjectContext _context; protected string _setName = String.Empty; public ServiceBase(ObjectContext context) { _context = context; } public IEnumerable<T> GetAll() { return GetAll(false); } //These are not the correct access modifiers.. With GetAll(bool returnQueryable) being marked internal, the children would not be able to see each other's GetAll(bool) method, just the public GetAll() method. I know that I can add a new internal GetAll method to each service (or perhaps an intermediary parent class within the same assembly) so that each child service within the assembly can see each other's method; but it seems unnecessary since the functionality is already available in the parent class. For example: internal IEnumerable<Employees> GetAll(bool returnIQueryable) { return base.GetAll(returnIQueryable); } Essentially what I want is for services to be able to access other service methods as IQueryable so that they can further refine the uncommitted results, while everyone else gets plain old lists. Any ideas?

    i use proguard (support in mtj plugin) to obfuscate a project that has some third party jars but i gives me errors: Your input classes appear to be inconsistent. You may need to recompile them and try again. Alternatively, you may have to specify the options '-dontskipnonpubliclibraryclasses' and/or '-dontskipnonpubliclibraryclassmembers'. It seems that proguard use the classes in JavaSE. It only happens with projects that use third party jars :( Thank you in advanced!

  • Why "menus" unit is finalized too early?

    I tested my application with FastMM and FullDebugMode turned on, since I had some shutdown problems. After solving bunch of my own problems FastMM started to complain about calling virtual method on a freed object in TPopupList. I tried to move the menus unit as early as possible in uses so that it would be finalized last, but it didn't help. Is this real problem, a bug in vcl or false alarm from FastMM?   • Opt-out of copy constructor

    This might be a silly question, but... I've been writing a number of classes that utilize non-copyable members. These classes are never initialized via the copy constructor in my source. When I try to compile without supplying my own copy-constructor, g++ throws out many errors about how it can't build a default copy constructor, due to the non-copyable member objects. Is there a way to tell the compiler to just not give me a copy constructor?

  • Is there any way to find unreferenced code in Flex Builder?

    We've got several Flex projects, one of which has just been refactored. I'm wondering if there's an easy way to tell which classes and functions (if any) aren't being used any more? I've discovered that we've definitely got some unused code, because running ASDoc on the entire project reports some compilation errors which don't get reported by Flex Builder (implying that those classes aren't being used any more). I'm hoping to find a more robust and complete method, and preferably one which can work at function level too.

    I'm trying to set an input box with a specific internal height, and I'm running into issues: font-size: 12px; line-height: 12px; height: 12px; display: block; padding: 5px; Is a sample of what I put in inline styles or stylesheets. I would expect the input box value to be visible at full height, but the inner height of the input box ends up being really small, and it always seems to follow the form: actual inner height = css height - 2*border width - 2*padding Funny, because I swear I've done this before without issue. What am I missing?

    I'm working on creating a SQL query that will pull records from a table based on the value of two aggregate functions. These aggregate functions are pulling data from the same table, but with different filter conditions. The problem that I run into is that the results of the SUMs are much larger than if I only include one SUM function. I know that I can create this query using temp tables, but I'm just wondering if there is an elegant solution that requires only a single query. I've created a simplified version to demonstrate the issue.
