  • Make a target run once at the Solution level in MSBuild

    I need a set of tasks that need to be executed exactly once for the entire solution. This will run tasks that will modify each project to run a separate set of tasks for each project. We had done this earlier using a separate project to the solution which had the solution level tasks, but we want to move away from that. Has anyone done this or does anyone have any suggestions on how to implement this?

  • Sliding through divs at interval - jQuery

    Hey, I have a list of around 30 divs (see below.) and would like to hear any suggestions on the best way to rotate through them by sliding in one at the top and removing one from the bottom at a set time. Something like every 5-10 seconds. Also even though there are 30 on the page I would only like to show a list of 10 and have the rest show as mentioned. A great example would be www.foursquare.com and their recent activity section. I would like to do the same except with a predetermined amount of divs instead of real-time using ajax.     I'm trying to extract some results from a download manager, the format is: [#8760e4 4.3MiB/40MiB(10%) CN:2 DL:4.9MiB ETA:7s] what I'd like to extract from the above example, would be an array that looks like this: ['4.3','MiB','40','MiB','10%','4.9','MiB','7','s'] I've tried to split this in various combinations, but nothing seems to be right. Would anyone happen to know how to do this or be able to offer suggestions? Thank you!

    Hello, Im searching for ideas to solve the following problem: I'm loading an URL (any for that matter) into an iFrame, and then block (server side) all image tags, o object tags before sending the page to the client. -- What I was thinking to do is: fetching the URL, and then manipulating the fetched content using a Java library (any recomendation on that matter?). And after that, send the modify content to que client. Would that be the best approach to solve this problem? suggestions are wellcome :)

  • Maintaining file permissions across SVN updates?

    I have a series of python scripts with execute permissions in Linux. They are stored in SVN. If I then run svn up to update them, the overwritten files are back to 644 - ie no execute permissions for anyone. Yes I could just script it to chmod +x * afterwards, but surely there's a way to store permissions in SVN or to maintain them when you update? Any suggestions appreciated.

    I started off with C in school, went to Java and now I primarily use the P's(Php, Perl, Python) so my exposure to the lower level languages have all but disappeared. I would like to get back into it but I can never justify using C over Perl or Python. What real-world apps are being built with these languages? Any suggestions if I want to dive back in, what can I do with C/C++ that I can't easily do with Perl/Python?

I'm doing an educational project in which 1) I record voice commands on a separate device and after appropriate processing etc... 2) I send 16-bit samples encapsulated in UDP packets over Ethernet to the PC. After receiving the packets and "extracting" data (samples) from them, I need to assemble the samples to a WAV file. Any example code? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
