    I integrated a small http server in my software distribution, so when my customer installs my software, a http server is also installed on his computer, he can visit the http server from his LAN (local network). The problem is that my customer has to manually add my software into the firewall's trusted applications list, I want the firewall to AUTOMATICALLY popup warning to let my customer choose yes/no to add my software into trusted applications list when my customer visit the small http server from LAN at first time. Any suggestions?

By code completion here I mean a feature within the editor that offers methods or suggestions based on the code that was already typed, and I am interested in programming language related completions (not word processor style completion).

    I am just wondering if you are supposed to write a sort of really secure application with data being transmitted over insecure networks, what kind of encryption algorithm will you use it in order to make it safe ? I know several c++ libraries for encryption providing nice functions with different algorithms, but i'm not quite sure which cipher to use - AES, DES, RSA, Blowfish or maybe something more different ?     Is there a library that can be used for implementing undo/redo functionality for DOM element manipulations in JavaScript? I'm writing an app that moves around DOM elements, enables editing and deletion of those elements. There are event-handlers and other objects associated with each element operated upon. Not sure whether I need to roll my own implementation of the Command pattern for this. Surely, there must be something available? If not, suggestions and pointers would be a great help.

  • Android Icon Duplicates in Application Dock

    For some odd reason, my project is generating two icons, same name, launches the same project, in the app drawer. I can't figure out what is causing this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Link to screenshot The M in the white circle is my default icon. If you view the screenshot, you'll see it appears twice. I've checked the applications area, and it is only installed once.

Using java.io is simple, but I don't know how to access android resources or assets using it. And I can't write methods that operate on FileInputStreams instead, because some files contain references to another ones, so I need a way to access them from the method code. Any suggestions?

As it stands now, the program freezes up while the scp is copying the file, which can take a few minutes, so I'd like to be able to display the progress of the scp or at the very least get the terminal window with the scp progress to show up!     After profiling a large game playing program, I have found that the library function rand() is consuming a considerable fraction of the total processing time. My requirements for the random number generator are not very onerous - its not important that it pass a great battery of statistical tests of pure randomness.
