• In Windows 7, is it possible to do "runas" administrator *without* using the gui?

  I'm aware of the various options for setting the "run as administrator" flag, and for opening an Admin console Windows. But what if I have a normal console window and I want to run a command as admin? The 'runas' program doesn't seem to have an option that says "please don't show me some popup that I have to click on". What I really want is something like sudo for Windows.

  When trying to install SQL Server 2008 Developer and Enterprise editions on a Windows 7 box I've got this message: Rule "Restart computer" failed. A computer restart is required. You must restart this computer before installing SQL Server. Of course I already restarted 10 times. I've found a post in a forum saying that I should clear HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations but I don't have such a key.

  Hello, My ISP's DNS server is very crappy and I've been trying out various alternatives to it. I came across Treewalk ( http://ntcanuck.com/ ) and BIND, and decided to use Treewalk as it seemed easier. But it's performance hasn't been satisfactory. Can someone please guide me on how to setup BIND on my standalaone Windows XP 3 system which connects to the internet using PPPOE?   I'm trying to figure out the differences(pros/cons) between two routing protocols approach and I would be great-full for any help, advice and explanation. As far I can say that it seems like distance vector is more static and more local based routing, since it doesn't know the network state whereas link state is more aware of current states therefore it seems more natural to use it over distance-vector, but I have a feeling like I'm missing something. And I would be glad to here about more aspects and different issues I have to consider while choosing one of them.

• Authenticated RSS Feeds in Google Reader?

  I'm aware that Google Reader does not support authenticated RSS feeds, and I have a user wishing to get his Confluence RSS feeds regardless. He's used FreeMyFeed in the past, but it hasn't worked for him in a while. I looked at Yahoo Pipes, but sadly our Confluence (and thus it's RSS feeds) are HTTPS - which Yahoo Pipes does not support. What other alternatives are there?
