  • Simulating Key Press event using Python for Linux

    Hi, I am writing a script to automate running a particular model. When the model fails, it waits for a user input (Enter key). I can detect when the model has failed, but I am not able to use python (on linux) to simulate a key press event. Windows has the SendKeys library to do this but I was wondering if there is a similar library for python on linux. Thanks!

    Going thru the excellent Apress books on Objective C. To help in my undertanding, I try and recode any Ojective C code samples in Java/Action-script. One common structure in method calls in ObjC leaves me a bit puzzled. -(id) initWithPressure: (float) pressure treadDepth: (float) treadDepth; (in ECMAscript)Would this be most similar to 1 method call with multiple arguments OR 2 method calls, each with a single argument?

    Could anybody help me with bucket sort algorithm for integers ? It's often mistake when people say they have this algorithm, but this is counting sort ! Maybe it works similar, but it is something different. I hope you will help mi find the right way, 'cause now I have no idea (Cormen's book and Wikipedia are not so helpful).     Does anyone know of a method to display a popup date selection calendar in a MATLAB gui? I know the financial toolbox has a uicalendar function, but unfortunately I don't have that toolbox. I have a hunch I'm going to have to use some Java or some other language for this one, which I know nothing about. I'm looking for something similar to this: which would return a date string after the user selects the date.

And encrypts and locks the system after a certain time. Is that possible on a linux system by the use of Python ?

  • implement alphabetical scroll in MPMediaPickerController app

    If you go to the iphone library and then go to songs, you will see the songs being displayed in a similar way to the MPMediaItemPicker class does. The only difference is that the ipod application shows the search bar right at the top of the list and also a nice alphabetical scroll on the right hand side whereas the MPMediaItemPicker class only isplays a simple scroll going up and down. How can i implement an alphabetical scroll on the right in the MPMediaItemPicker class? Can someone please help me.

  • iPhone & iPad versions of same app?

    I have an iPhone app and would like to create iPad version of it. What is the best way to setup the project when you want an iPhone and iPad version of the app? I don't see that I'm able to use the same code base since the iPad version will have features in it that the iPhone version doesn't. It seems as though maintenance is going to go up with two similar code bases for the same app.
