  Given a simple data set, I would like to be able to calculate a trending formula given it's a second order polynomial regression. In fact, it would be great if one could even forecast X periods during calculation (similar to what Excel does). I'm looking for a portable C/C++ package that's relatively easy to use, and allows it to spit out the "best-fit" (highest R^2 value) curve. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I found an article from the Eclipse.org marketing director where he states: "An organization that is 100% Microsoft probably won't/shouldn't consider Eclipse RCP."   Is it possible to modify the DOM during or before the initial DOM parsing? Or do I have to wait until the DOM is parsed and built before interacting with it? More specifically, is it possible to hinder a script element in DOM from running using userscripts/content scripts or similar in chrome or firefox? Tried using eventListeners on DOMNodeInserted before the DOM is parsed, but these are only fired after the DOM is built.

But with the upcoming version of Windows and Microsoft's flagship language, I am having a hard time understanding why Microsoft isn't pushing C# to its fullest potential to give it more exposure via their market share? In addition can be interpreted as "Is C# and the .Net framework suitable to run a modern OS like Windows 7" Btw this is not a flaming question, but curiosity. I use C# daily and really love it.

  I'm trying to add a range of - 365 days and + 365 days but it appears that using this attribute in EL 4.1 only accepts a special ISO formatted string ... thus I can't simply add a normal string to this validation routine. <DateTimeRangeValidator(DateTime.Now.AddDays(2), DateTime.Now.AddDays(4))> _ I wanted to do something similar to the above - fyi Does anyone know how you can force this attribute to accept this ISO formatted string w/out hand coding this value?

  I recently installed windows 7, visual studio 2008, and .net framework 3.5. With these installed, I was unable to find the .net framework configuration tool. It should be located in %windir%\Microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.507727\ with the file name mscorcfg.msc The only place I found something similar is in %windir%\Microsoft.net\framework\v1.0.3705 where there are files named mscormmc.cfg and mscormmc.dll Any idea where to get the configuration tool?

  I'm working with libpcap in C on linux (centos) and I'm following this guide I want to simply print out the entire packet in ascii and i'v managed to get it working by casting it a u_char* in the "my_callback" function. But I can't figure out how to get the length of the data. strstr didn't work. the header has a len member that you can access to get the size but I can't find anything similar for the *packet being passed. Any help is appreciated.
