  Hi, I want to do the following in my page_load: if (condition) ChangePasswordControl.InstructionText = "......"; However, I am using a ChangePasswordTemplate which when generated doesn't include an <asp:Literal ID="InstructionText runat="server" /> or similar. Can anyone suggest how to conditionally include instructions in the template in this context? Thanks, Chris

• Why is SpringSource Tool Suite (STS) so slow? And how can I fix it?

  I've been running STS 2.3.2 on a MacBook Pro for a few days now. I'm finding the performance to be significantly slower than any other build of Eclipse I've used. For example, switching from one tab to another can take up to 4 seconds. I tried turning off much of the validation, and increasing the memory, but it's not making a difference. Are others having similar experiences?

  I am looking for a way to do some string formatting through Grails JSON conversion, similar to custom formatting dates, which I found in this post.   I'd like to use the UIView "sucking" transition (view is "sucked" into a point) referenced here: http://iphonedevwiki.net/index.php/UIViewAnimationState#Using_suckEffect The method above, however, uses private APIs, which makes it next to useless for an App Store app. How can I recreate a similar effect without relying on private APIs? I'm guessing the answer has to do with OpenGL, although I have zero experience there.

  Hey, I want to make an little window like the sort of thing used by Teamspeak/Ventrillo or Steam/xFire where a window can be shown while still in a fullscreen game using Java. There was a similar question/answer ("How to create an overlay window in Java?") but that doesn't work for the particular game (EVE) whereas the previously mentioned overlays work just fine.
