  • How to "pathconvert" under Maven?

    I am having a similar problem as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1799684/ant-basedir-slashes-escape-problem except that I'm running under Maven. I'd like to generate cross-platform paths relative to Maven's built-in property ${basedir}. The problem is that under Windows, ${basedir} resolves to a path containing Windows-style slashes. Is there an easy way for me to get ${basedir} into a form that always uses Unix-style slashes even under Windows?

    It is my understanding that although Mercurial has support from branches, the community generally clone repos instead of creating branches. Similar to the Darcs model, unlike the Git model. I'm deploying a Ruby on Rails app with Capistrano and there I'd like to separate the production from the development branch. Should I point Capistrano to a different repo or should I use branches?

Anyone know why this is or have a similar experience. I am trying to fit Restlet into an existing GWT project using maven.

    Grails 1.x allows using external configuration files by setting the grails.config.locations directive. Is there a similar approach available for externalizing the database configuration in Datasource.groovy (without setting up JNDI)? It would prove helpful to be able to configure DB credentials in a simple configuration file outside the application. Thanks in advance!

The reason I am asking here instead of searching is because I remember seeing a specific document writing about this. If I remember correctly, it also talked about why Linus prefers eight spaces.

  • Solution for Numeric Text Field in GWT

    I need a text field very similar in behavior to Gxt's NumberField. Unfortunately I am not using Gxt in my application and GWT 2.0 does not have a Numeric text field implementation as yet. So that currently leaves me with an option to simulate a NumberField by filtering out non-numeric keystrokes using a keyboardHandler. Is this the the best way to approach the problem? Does anyone here have a better solution/approach in mind? Thanks in advance :)

  • UIWebView paging / line cut off

    Hi, I am trying to page a webpage, so disable scrolling, then the second page is the same webpage scrolled down the page height. The problem I have is that the bottom of the first page often has 1/2 a line of text, then the second page has the bottom half of the line. Is there a way to ensure the entire line falls on one of the pages? Similar to Stanza etc? Thanks

    How do I get an outline view in sublime code editor for Windos? http://www.sublimetext.com/ The minimap is helpful but I miss a traditional outline (a klickable list of all the functions in my code in the order they appear for quick navigation and orientation) Maybe there is a plugin, addon or similar? It would also be nice if you can shortly name which steps are neccesary to make it work.     Hi, all! Now CAPICOM is deprecated, and MSDN recommends to use .net classes from System.Security.Cryptography. But I have one Lotus Notes application, which using CAPICOM from LotusScript code (very similar to VisualBasic) for displaying certificates to users, and get some cert info (Subject and ValidToDate fields). How can I replace CAPICOM functionality with .net or any other alternative?

DataGrid which is there in the ASP.NET 1.1 having VirtualPageCount (something similar) which is set to render the pagination interface [1 2 3 4 5 ... something like this] GridView does not have the above mentioned property then how to generate the pagination UI?

    My app has a token model as such: class Token < ActiveRecord::Base # The model include a few attributes including created_at end I want entries linked to this model to expire after 6 hours, meaning that they should get automatically deleted. I know that I could set a cronjob or something similar to do this, but isn't there a better/simpler way? Note: I'm using Rails 3.0.0beta3, mysql (in dev) and postgres (in prod)
