    I am trying to understand what the process is of turning HTML into a PDF/Postscript programmatically All Google searches turn up libraries to do this, but I am more interested in the actual process required. I know you could just set up a Postscript printer and print directly to that, but some of these libraries appear to create the PDF on the fly to allow previews etc. has anyone had any experience in this, or can provide any guidance?

  • Can't Get ANT build to work in eclipse

    Long story short: I want to add the --core-library flag at compile time to include a library that depends on some javax libraries that aren't included in the android platform. I have attempted the walkthrough here: http://commons.apache.org/scxml/usecases/scxml-stopwatch-on-android.html but nothing ever changed on the emulator. I don't think I can repackage the libraries I'm after because I cannot amend the callers to call the new packages without violating a license agreement. Please, someone, point me in the right direction.

I 've had a look at the main Maven repo and while it looks like that there are a few projects already imported, their versions are old and some important ones are missing (e.g. cdt). Is there any Eclipse project official Maven repository? If not, what would be the best option to use current versions of libraries such as the JDT compiler in a maven-enabled project?

  • Find out why Xcode has decided to link to a particular library

    I'm using the Unity 3D engine to build an iPhone app, and when I go to generate my Xcode project for compilation, it includes a few fairly large libraries: Mono.Security.dll.s, System.dll.s, System.Core.dll.s, etc. I don't know if this question is really an Xcode question or a Unity question, but I'm trying to figure out why each of those libraries is being linked - which functions / classes are being referenced - ideally so that I can rewrite my code to remove as many of the dependencies as possible. Does anybody know a way to find this information out?

    I'm getting this error in CodeIgniter when trying to load the email library: Can't use method return value in write context It's happening on line 827 of Loader.php in [codeigniter root]/system/libraries/Loader.php include_once($filepath); where $filepath equals "/var/www/system/libraries/Email.php" I called it like this in another php file: $this->load->library('email'); where $this is the CodeIgniter instance. According to the CodeIgniter email doc page, I'm doing it right. But it's not working...

    I'm sitting here writing a function that I'm positive has been written before, somewhere on earth. It's just too common to have not been attempted, and I'm wondering why I can't just go to a website and search for a function that I can then copy and paste into my project in 2 seconds, instead of wasting my day reinventing the wheel. Sure there are certain libraries you can use, but where do you find these libraries and when they are absent, is there a site like I'm describing?

    I essentially want to reconstruct the getTickCount() windows function so I can use it in basic C++ without any non standard libraries or even the STL. (So it complies with the libraries supplied with the Android NDK) I have looked at clock() localtime time But I'm still unsure whether it is possible to replicate the getTickCount windows function with the time library.     I have two header files named string.h in different libraries, they are conflicted with each other and even conflicted with standard C include file of the same name. There is no need to use any string.h except standard one, but I need to include libraries headers paths in GCC search path. Currently I use something like -I /usr/local/include/lib1 -I /usr/local/include/lib2, but that way I can not include standard C string.h. What is the right way to resolve such conflicts?
