  I was doing some test with json and ran into serveral issues. hope somebody on this mailing list can help out. localStorage[LOC] = JSON.stringify(track); var boy = localStorage[LOC]; alert(boy); This is the data I get back [{"lat":42.5877511,"lng":-71.7873177,"acc":67,"date":"Sat Apr 14 2012 01:03:46 GMT-0400 (EDT)"}] I was wondering how I could access the json objects like we do in a regular array. For debugging purposes I did something like, alert(boy[0].lat); But the result I got back was undefined

• Delayed_Job - on site5 server

  I am currently using a site5 server and would like rake jobs:work pretty much running all the time. I currently cannot send out the jobs unless i'm logged into the server. I hope that someone out there can help me with this. Had alot of trouble with ar_mailer and the whenever gem ... but have about another 5 gems working perfectly within my rails app. can someone shed some light on a solution for this please? greatly appreciated. (installed delayed_job as a plugin)

  Guys; Hope you are fine. I have to make a Web Project (very simple) I will have a DB with 2 tables. One table has 2 fields. From the WebPage I need a Google like search query, for example I have Movie Title and Movie Review on the Table. I need to be able to search those 2 fields like this: "Best Movie" + Action I will need to make a query to the DB to search for the "Best Movie" string togheter plus optional ACTION word on 2 fields of the table. Am I clear??? :) Does somebody know if this has already been made, and if it´s public and free and where to get it :) Thanks in advanced EDIT: My concern is to translate the Google like Symbols ("", +, -, ~) to build a valid query.

• Multiple classes in a Python module

  I'm very new to Python (I'm coming from a JAVA background) and I'm wondering if anyone could help me with some of the Python standards. Is it a normal or "proper" practice to put multiple class in a module? I have been working with Django and started with the tutorials and they place their database model classes in the same module. Is this something that is normally done or should I stick with 1 class per module? Is their a reason I would do one over the other? Hope I'm being clear and not to generic.   I have array distanceListArray.. 5 km, 10 km, 15km, 20 km, 25 km. distanceListArray is of appDelegate.class distanceArray count is 5. Now i do have another array. which have list of events data ... eventListArray is of DistanceClass call eventListArray. for 5 km its displays 10 events, for 10 km its display 20 events. Now i need to load data for each section from distanceListArray of eventListArray Into another new array. All Arrays's are NSMutableArray. I hope this makes ambiguity. please help try to help me out.

But at the same time i want to check if the TDs of the THs in the tbody is containing any input elements.   We all know that all user data, GET/POST/Cookie etc etc needs to be validated for security. But when do you stop, once it's converted into a local variable? eg if (isValidxxx($_GET['foo']) == false) { throw InvalidArgumentException('Please enter a valid foo!'); } $foo = $_GET['foo']; fooProcessor($foo); function fooProcessor($foo) { if (isValidxxx($foo) == false) { throw Invalid...... } //other stuff } To me thats over the top. But what if you load the value from the database... I hope I make sense :)

  I try to use AlarmManager to setup an alarm that happens after some seconds from now. Here is my code: AlarmManager am = (AlarmManager)context.getSystemService(Context.ALARM_SERVICE); Intent intent = new Intent(ALARM_ACTION); PendingIntent alarmIntent = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(getBaseContext(), 0, intent, PendingIntent.FLAG_UPDATE_CURRENT); Calendar rightNow = Calendar.getInstance(); rightNow.add(Calendar.SECOND, NumOfSecond); am.set(AlarmManager.RTC, rightNow.getTimeInMillis(), alarmIntent); For example, if rightNow is 8:00AM and I hope my alarm happens after 14400 seconds, that is 12:00PM, so NumOfSecond will be set as 14400. But when the code runs what happens is the alarm not always happens exactly at 12:00PM, sometimes it will be delayed by 1 or 2 minutes, or even 5 minutes! Does any one know what the heck is happened here?

• Problem with Classes in Python..

  Ok guys, I'm really new at python (and programming itself) so sorry for my ignorance, but I really needed to ask this. So im doing a wxPython project where I added several tabs for a notebook (each tab of the notebook = a class) and there is one tab where I added a checkbox (in a tab, lets call it for example Tab1), and what I want is that when someone checks it, a button that exists in other tab (class called for example tab2) gets hidden where previously it was being shown. Well I see that it isn't hard to accomplish this, but my problem is the classes (tab1 and tab2, in this example). I've been trying to figure it out by searching but I guess im not searching hard enough because I just can't get it right. If they were in the same class I wouldn't have a problem, but as they are in different classes, im having a huge struggle with this. Hope someone can help me, and sorry for my ignorance once again.

Well, i have a custom list view in which every row have a custom .xml (item_row.xml) with a set color background for the row item. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="70dip" android:orientation="vertical" android:background="@drawable/list_bg"> The problem is when i try to make a selector for the list. I want two things: When the item is focused, appears the typical orange rectangle over him. When the item is pressed the same. I have proved with a selector and a custom style but all i get is or the selector doesn't appear or the selector covering the item so i can't see it. If anyone can give me the right code i will be very grateful. Thanks

  Hi friends, The issue is this: I have a web application that runs on a PHP server. I'd like to build a REST api for it. I did some research and I figured out that REST api uses HTTP methods (GET, POST...) for certain URI's with an authentication key (not necessarily) and the information is presented back as a HTTP response with the info as XML or JSON (I'd rather JSON). My question is: 1. How do I, as the developer of the app, build those URI's? Do I need to write a PHP code at that URI? 2. How do I build the JSON objects to return as a response? • Creating SSL on IIS - Remote access problem

  I followed these instructions: http://www.visualwin.com/SelfSSL/ When I type https://localhost/ than it works, but when I try to access it remotely (i set up my router to port forward to localhost), for example https://myip the page does not load. Also, I noticed one other thing. When I access localhost locally then I am asked to enter user/pass, but if I access remotely the I get the following warning: Under Construction The site you were trying to reach does not currently have a default page. It may be in the process of being upgraded and configured. ... I don't know if it is related with this but I hope someone know the answer. Thanks, Ile

  Hello everyone. I am designing a web application in ASP.NET / C# where each registered user has the ability to add/modify/delete rows based on their user-id. Take this example: I am going to edit my route on the page /route.aspx?routeid=854 which belongs to me (user-id: 1). But because I am a curious guy I try to access /route.aspx?routeid=855 which belongs to another user (user-id: 2). How can I best avoid people from accessing other peoples data? Should I send each user id (from session) with each database-call, should I validate user/password on every page load or what is the best and most secure approach? I hope I made this clear enough.

• Configuring a library to be included with C++ test

  Hello, I would like to utilize the UnitTest++ library in a testing file. However, I am having some difficulty getting the library to be included at compile time. So here is my current directory structure: tests/ UnitTests++/ libUnitTest++.a src/ UnitTests++.h unit/ test.cpp I have just used the UnitTest++ getting started guide to just get the library setup. Here is test.cpp: // test.cpp #include <UnitTest++.h> TEST(FailSpectacularly) { CHECK(false); } int main() { return UnitTest::RunAllTests(); } And I am currently trying to compile with: gcc -lUnitTest++ -L../UnitTest++/ -I../UnitTest++/src/ test.cpp I am currently getting a bunch output with ld: symbol(s) not found at the end. So how would I be able to get the UnitTest++ library properly included when this program is compiled? I am on a Mac and I'd also like for there to be an easy way for people on a Linux machine to run these same tests. Whew, I hope this provides enough information, if not please let me know.

  Hello guys, i want to create a text field that will be for date and will have dd.mm.YYYY format. Now what i want to do is the user to type only the numbers, not the dots to. So the field would be like: _ _. _ _ . _ _ _ _ So when the user wants to type the date: 15.05.2010 for example, he will only type the numbers in the sequence 15052010. Also i would like, when he preses on left or right arrow, the cursor to go from one field(not JTextField, but field in the JTextField). So lets say i have JTextField with text in it: 15.05.2010, so if user is on the beginning and he preses right arrow, the cursor to go to the .05 field. I hope you understand me 'cos right now i don't any idea how to make this, or at least how to look for it on google. Thank you.

• overwrite a file which is already used by another process

  I have a web site and i am showing videos to visitors, at the admin side i am filling the form of video and upload video file and sometimes i need to change(update) the video so i update the video by uploading another one, when i create the video in the first time i concatenate a datetime variable with the video name to avoid repeatition(file already exist) and when updatting the video the problem appears.... as if i upload the new video with the previous name so it will replace the previous one and in this case if the video is used by another process it will fail and the second option(which i am already using) is to upload a new video and concatenating new datetime variable with video title, so the previous and the new video will exist in the same directory and in this case i will lose too much space in my server directory as i have unused videos which takes space which in future will cause problem to me in the disk space so how can i solve this problem ? Hope that my question is clear....thanks in advance for any try

• Enable Datepicker only when first field has a value

  Right now, the End Date selection is disabled. I want to only enable this when a Start Date is selected. if( $('#datepicker1').val().length === 0) { $('#datepicker2').datepicker("disable"); } else { $('#datepicker2').datepicker("enable"); } This clearly does not work. If I insert value = 'random date' into my first input field, it works fine. I'm not too sure on how do this. Clearly not as easy as I had hoped. My other problem, or hope, is to disable the dates including and before the first selection. You know, pick Start Date, and every date before and said date for the next picker would be disabled. But that is a whole other problem.

I need to check after the 4 chars are entered if the area code is correct. What it should do. After entering 4 number, the script should check the following things. • charset problem?

  Hi all, I have a bugging problem. For a website I made there are search engine friendly URL's generated. The only problem is there are ß-chars in the url too. Chars like ö, ï, ä, ü etc. are placed correct. But with the ß-char there is a diamond-icon with a questionmark in it. I thought it had to do with the charset which is used but i've tried both UTF-8 and iso-8859-1. Both without luck. I need to have the correct character in the url for the readability of deeplinks.   Hey Guys, i have a Problem to send a value from the DataGrid to a function- this is my function: private function browseLoc( location:String ):void { Alert.show(location,'Information'); } Now i have my DataGrid which receives Information from an XML File. Everything works fine. All Information is shown correctly with that Tags: <mx:Image x="10" y="346" width="157" height="107" scaleContent="true" source="{codeworxx.pages.page[selectedPageIndex].preview}"/> <mx:Label x="10" y="492" width="157" fontWeight="bold" text="{codeworxx.pages.page[selectedPageIndex].visible}"/> <mx:Text x="10" y="513" width="157" text="{codeworxx.pages.page[selectedPageIndex].description}"/> <mx:Button x="10" y="461" label="Visit Website" width="159" click="browseLoc('{codeworxx.pages.page[selectedPageIndex].url}')"/> except the Button. • Configuring IoC container from modules/plug-ins ?

  Hi guys, i am in big dilema.. I am working on highly modular web app in ASP.NET MVC 2 (in fact, core will be super lightweight, all work on modules/plugins). I found MEF pretty useful for modules discovery, but i dont want to us it as IoC container. There is pretty good chance that I will need advanced features of "true" IoC container, so I would like to use Unity. And here is the problem : how to allow modules to configure container (programatically) = register their own types (mvc controllers, custom implementations of services...) at application start without making hard dependency on Unity in all modules ? I know about Common Service Locator project, and it seems pretty good, but this interface co container only allows resolving types, not registering them (afaik). I really hope you can understand my point, I know my english is terrible (I am from non english speaking country :) Thanks a lot !
