    Hello, I need a priority queue where I can increase or decrease the priority key. So boost::mutable_queue seemed perfect despite the lack of documentation. The problem is that I need to iterate at some point over all the elements in the queue. How can I do that? Or is there an othe data structure that would work (preferably in boost)?

  • backbone.js - Having multiple instances of the same view

    I am having problems having multiple instances in of the same view in different div elements. When I try to initialize them only the second of the two elements appear no matter what order I put them in.     I know that Selenium has a built-in method getTable("tableName.row.column") can return a cell conveniently. However how can I return a whole column? I've tried getText() directly, however only the first cell was returned, getText("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") But getXpathCount() with the same Xpath expression showed there're multiple elements matched. getXpathCount("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") // result is 15 Please kindly help, many thanks!

  • How efficient is a details table?

    At my job, we have pseudo-standard of creating one table to hold the "standard" information for an entity, and a second table, named like 'TableNameDetails', which holds optional data elements. On average, for every row in the main table will have about 8-10 detail rows in it. My question is: What kind of performance impacts does this have over adding these details as additional nullable columns on the main table?

    What is the easiest method to generate an XSD schema from a 2005 SQL Server Database? Would it be possible to generate one XSD schema for the entire Database (~100 tables)? I searched online and found a SQL example that generates one XSD for the one table: DECLARE @schema xml SET @schema = (SELECT * FROM MyTableName FOR XML AUTO, ELEMENTS, XMLSCHEMA('MyTableNameSchema')) SELECT @schema Outside of SQL Server, is there a third party tool that could generate the XSD file from the 2005 Database?

  • sub menu border calls onmouseout event

    I've created a simple menu and submenu with tags(not allowed to use ul elements). To access the submenu the user hovers their mouse over the menu item. I use the onmouseover and onmouseout events to either show or hide the sub menu depending on which item is selected. A pipe (|) is used to seperate each submenu item and this is what is causing me problems. When a user hovers their mouse above the pipe character the subMenu div calls the onmouseout event which is not what I want. So I added padding around the pipe character and a minus margin so that there were no gaps between the pipe character and the other elements. This worked for all browsers including IE8.     Using JavaScript, is there a way to update window.location.hash without scrolling the web page? I have clickable title elements that toggle the visibility of a div directly beneath them. I want the /foo#bar in the history when clicking titles but don't want the page scrolling about. So when navigating away from /foo#bar I'll be able to use the back button and have the div whose ID is in window.location.hash be visible upon return. Is this behavior possible?

  • Should you always write code for else cases that "can never happen"?

    Take some code like if (person.IsMale()) { doGuyStuff(); } else { doGirlOtherStuff(); } (Yes, I realize this is bad OO code, it's an example) Should this be written so that to explicitly check if person.isFemale(), and then add a new else that throws an exception? Or maybe you're checking values in an enum, or something like that. You think that no one will add new elements to the enum, but who knows? "Can never happen" sounds like famous last words.

    I'm getting a datetime string in a format like "2009-05-28T16:15:00" (this is ISO 8601, I believe) one hack-ish option seems to be to parse the string using time.strptime and passing the first 6 elements of the touple into the datetime constructor, like: datetime.datetime(*time.strptime("2007-03-04T21:08:12", "%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S")[:6]) I haven't been able to find a "cleaner" way of doing this, is there one?
