  • What do you use to keep notes as a developer?

    Where as a developer do like to you keep your code snippets, links, checklists, final solutions to problems etc? I've fooled with Google Notebook, MS Onenote, TreePad, textfiles, and Evernote a bit (currently leaning toward Evernote). All have pros and cons but none seem to be really suited to developers. Is anyone super-happy with a collection / note system that's not just generic GTD, but with developer-centric utility?

    Many VMS, JVM/LLVM/... have JITs -- as the code is being interpreted, x86 instructions are created on the fly and executed. If there something similar to this for FPGAS?     Our shopping website is based on drupal's ubercart. I have setup ApacheSolr and ApacheSolr Ubercart integration modules. I have created a few products on my website, but am unable to get these products indexed. The default ApacheSolr module works, i.e., I am able to index drupal's default stories. But am unable to achieve indexing for ubercart. Guidance is greatly appreciated. Even links to tutorials to set these up would be helpful.

I want it to look, read, and function like: [IMAGE] HEADLINE Posted by AUTHOR on April 3rd, 2010 | 0 Comments All of that in the initial looking field, then the user can click and it expands further. I can obviously get it to work if I put it in the A CLASS tag, but that's the problem. I can't have it there.

    A legacy database contains a join table which links tables table1 and table2, and contains just two foreign keys: TABLE_ORIG: table1_id table2_id In order to utilize this table using JPA I would need to create a surrogate primary key to the link table. However, the existing table must not be modified at all. I would like to create another table which would contain also a primary key in addition to the foreign keys: TABLE_NEW: id table1_id table2_id All changes to TABLE_ORIG should be reflected in TABLE_NEW, and vice versa. Is this doable in mysql?

  • Select JavaHelp topic in TOC when using setCurrentID

    When I use HelpBroker.setCurrentID("[some help id]"), JavaHelp correctly shows the page I want but the associated topic is not automatically selected/highlighted in the table of contents. This makes it difficult for a user to know where in the topic tree the current page is located. Is there any way to programmatically highlight the current topic in the TOC when I use a HelpBroker to navigate to a specific Help page? Note that when the user follows links within the Java help system, the new topic is properly selected in the table of contents.
