  I am not sure whether this is possible can i have a fan gate between two pages of a website, so that before a visitor can access a particular url it would be mandatory to like our fan page on facebook? Scenario I have a travel website puneritraveller.com, and for each destination featured in the website i have listed hotels, with a direct link to the website of the hotel. for example i have featured a destination 'Alibaug' with a hotels page - puneritraveller.com/alibaug-hotels.html , in this page i have given banner ads for a few hotels for example Yellow house which on clicking redirects to www.yellowhousealibag.com What i want to achieve is, when someone clicks on the banner ad for Yellow house they should be redirected to a page with a like button to facebook.com/puneritraveller and once he/she clicks on the like button should be redirected to www.yellowhousealibag.com Is this possible? • C# .NET 4.0 interactive course?

  I would like to learn C# programming. I already studied it for several weeks and wrote some minor programs with VS2010, and I'm not completely newbie at programming because I worked on STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl as scripter, but it was LUA. I want to become a real programmer. I think C# is a decent way to start with. I already learned about the most commonly used resource sites and got some nice eBooks as well, but unfortunately I don't have time to sit down in front my computer all the time, so my progress is pretty slow. I would like to ask that if someone can recommend me some decent interactive online courses to make my learning progress faster. I know about the "joe grip" course but I don't know if it's worth $39 also it's only for .NET 1.x and 2.0 while I'd like to learn 4.0 so I have no idea what should I do.

• USB mouse freezes

  A simple Microsoft Optical mouse 1000 (USB) that runs perfectly on Windows, freezes up under Ubuntu 10.x and Fedora 1x after about 10 minutes of using the OS.Rebooting, the same problem comes up again in a few minutes. Interestingly, the problem does not occur when Ubuntu is installed in Oracle VirtualBox VM. Installing Ubuntu "as usual" (i.e. not in a VM), causes the problem to occur. Has any one here faced the same problem or have a solution for it? Maybe using a different mouse that is known to work with Ubuntu 10.x? If it helps my system is: Asus P5NSLI motherboard (nVidia nForce 570 chipset), 4 GB RAM Ubuntu 10.10 refers to "32 bit" version of Ubuntu It seems that Ubuntu has a lot of all types of freeze issues. Can someone recommend a version of Ubuntu that is fairly recent and stable ? I intend to use Ubuntu for Ruby on Rails development.

• Ubuntu and surround sound

  I'm trying to connect my Logitech x.530 to my Dell studio 1558 and get 5.1 sound. I have 3 jacks and in Windows I automatically could switch between line in adn mic. Which means I could get 5.1 surround over these 3 jacks. Ubuntu does not realise that one of the three jacks should be switched to give sound to the center and LFE speaker. I tried all the tips in the forums, but nothing works. I can only select 4.0 sound in pulse audio. As the dell and the IDT 92hd89e chip for the sound are probably famous laptops I thought there must be someone who has similar issues in the 5.1 sound. I would like to stay at Linux but without this hardware support it's almost impossible.

  I am using gLabels to print a page of the same label which is an address that I entered in a text box. I want to put part of it in bold - e.g. the postcode and post town. I can change the whole text but I can't find how to select just part of it. I used to be able to do it on my old system but I can't find where to do it now.   While I was looking for a battery management utility for my Dell E5420, I came to read this post - How can I limit battery charging to 80% capacity? . Sofar, I haven't found one that relates to my laptop. So, I wonder now if any battery manager utility can be found for my laptop specified above. I would be happy if someone could point me if such utility is available under Ubuntu 12.04 that can stop charging a battery at a certain percentage and to ONLY use A/C mode.   We own multiple country code top-level domains for our website e.g DE, UK ,FR. When someone visits for one of those domains they redirect to .com and the language automatically changes for the first time to the one from the originating domain. Also users can change the language from the .com website using a dropdown, however the page URI stays exactly the same e.g service.php. How will that be indexed in Google ? Will all the different language will be indexed or only the default lang (English) ? Is it recommended for SEO purposes to do something with the page URL (even using the htaccess maybe) so that I can also append to the title or page name the language ? e.g service.php?lang=fr

• How does the HUD prioritize commands?

  Every now and then I want to reach the "Edit Preferences" menu item in Firefox, and the HUD makes this very convenient. ALT + "Edi" will suggest exactly that to me. Something that I find annoying however is that if I complete the work "Edit" instead, the HUD will switch to suggest "Network Edit preferences" instead. While this is a perfectly valid match as well, it seems like an inconsistent behaviour to me. Could someone explain in more detail how the matching works, so that I can make better use of the HUD?

How can you identify someone at which level based on his knowledge? I do not tend to compare languages, I do tend to know what indicate a master or a newbie in a language and its (language's) based technology. Yeah, I know there aren't on earth a language stand alone, it always come with a technology with it. Let say in Java, you can memorize all of its keyword and syntax in just few days, but to know it (I mean do something with it effectively), you must read the Oracle (Sun) javadoc many many times (I'm not mention the 3rd party product yet).

• Full USB install not booting, but Zorin full install will? [on hold]

  Okay I'm puzzled and been trying to solve this for days. I'm almost giving up on having Ubuntu. I've used Zorin will no problems, full install on USB. Boots up fine no issues. But I'm trying to install Ubuntu on the same USB stick. Exact same options under the installer. Mount point, bootloader location etc. However it will not boot with Ubuntu full install. I've tried disabling UEFI boot in BIOS, changed boot priorities and so on. I know the stick boots as Zorin has no issues. I didn't even disable UEFI boot in BIOS and Zorin boots up fine. Can someone help!? Thanks a lot.

I've come to the point in my career when I need to have someone look at my queries because they're 'kind of slow'. I believe it's now time to start learning query optimization.   I have Windows 7(64 bit) installed on my system along with Ubuntu 12.04. I want to upgrade to 14.04 version of ubuntu but since I do not have a good internet connection I am unable to upgrade it using update manager. I somehow managed to get a .iso file downloaded. Is there some way i can upgrade using a cd or usb drive? I am not sure which boot loader i have. I installed 12.04 using wubi installer. I was wondering if anyone could clear up a few questions I have why do I need to provide rotation data for the bone, if I already gave it the location? • Can't Reboot into Windows 8.1 from Ubuntu

  I am newb in Ubuntu. Currently I am using an Acer V11 laptop with a pre-intalled Windows 8.1. I follow some guideline (http://www.everydaylinuxuser.com/2014/05/install-ubuntu-1404-alongside-windows.html) which successfully install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS alongside Windows 8.1 with UEFI enabled all the way throughout the installation and my current usage and a GRUB. But I got into some problem. The dual boot mostly works fine as I am able to successfully boot into either one of the Windows 8.1 or Ubuntu when stating my laptop. However it ran into issue after I start the device and use Ubuntu for a while (2 hour for instance) and then restart it: If I press the restart from Ubuntu, the grub still shows and I am still able to choose the Windows Boot Manager. But the Windows loading process was stuck at the Acer Loading Screen and I am not able to see the standard circular Win8 loading progress bar. Does someone know why would this happens?

  I find completely contradicting reviews for the VERY same book on amazon and even some book writers are rewarding people for good reviews so basically most of the reviews are totally fake ! You can even figure it out from the reviewer name, which you'll similar to the writer's name and assume that they could actually be from the same country and the reviewer is just being helpful, to the book writer of course ! I can't make my mind for which book I should buy ! I only need a book or two that covers the Java associate and professional topics very well, not just an overview, I need a material that covers everything from A to Z. Even though I've been developing in Java for around 4.5 years but I must not know a detail or two. Would someone kindly shed some light on a good book based on actual experience with the book ?   It fails and it says 'cannot find device'. It will work again if I reinstall Windows, and use something like EasyBCD. But I'd like grub as a loader only, can someone help me out here? • How do you remove Ubuntu? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: How to remove Ubuntu and put Windows back on? I have no idea what was deleted or uninstalled or even what system ran previously on the computer. The computers are public computers for an office and no one know's how to use this system! Most people can't figure it out and have never even heard of it (I have because I knew someone who ran it)!! So how do I remove it? Is there anyway to just do a virtual restore? I'm hoping it was windows 7 on here previously cause don't most 7 systems have a built in windows installation disk iso? Anyone know how or if this can be fixed?? No we don't have the re-installation disks (if we did I would know the system and not have a problem) HELP!!!!
