    I have been through 10+ tutorials on setting up a OpenVPN, and each tutorial gives a different problem... Does anyone know of a decent and helpful website/tutorial which I could go to to get it set up? I have been battling through it for almost 2 months now. Yes, I have also bugged forums.openvpn, but I think I have "reached my post limit" with them. I have to configure it remotely via ssh.     I wonder if it would be possible to "upgrade" from an OpenIndiana install (151a) to the current Solaris release (11.1) using the IPS. What I have done so far: added the "solaris" publisher using pkg set-publisher -g http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release/ solaris removed the "opensolaris.org" and "openindiana.org" publishers (just to make sure) tried to start the update process using pkg update --accept or explicitly setting the release name pkg image-update --accept --be-name Solaris_11 - both backed out stating there are "No updates available for this image".

    When using HAProxy for virtual hosting, I can see how to use the Host from the header at the front end to decide what backend to route to. However, is it possible to make the back end be a URL which includes a path (not unlike what you would do with apache or nginx when setting up virtual hosting). http://www.techrawr.com/tag/haproxy/ - shows most of it. But what if the back ends were on the one server but with backend1 and backend2 as the servers?

    I am quite new in setting up e-mail server on linux - I barely set up the whole think to get it working and connected it with my domain and php script which uses PHPMailer 5.2.1. In my setting I am using smtp server from my web provider (domain) and all e-mail which are not defined (trash) are sent on one simple address like I have address [email protected]. So when somebody will send email to [email protected] it will be forwarded again to [email protected] even in case of failure. I am receiving emails like: Hi. This is the qmail-send program at comercio.interone.com.br. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up.     Has anyone had any luck getting Windows Live mail to sync with a Palm Pre with WebOS 1.1? I have tried the manual setup options setting up the pop3 incoming server on port 995 with SSL encryption and the smtp out going server on both ports 25 and 587 with TTL encryption. It acts like it is connected, but it just keeps wanting to refresh and never shows anything in the inbox.

It may have been a changed setting after pressing a button while booting Ubuntu or a deleted folder named something20090101 or 01012009something or whatever as long as it's a word and a date... If I don't want pendrive viruses, it's disable autorun, but keep automount enabled, right? blush

    someone told me that this piece of network hardware (NAS) has a security setting such that it can only be accessed by hostname, not by IP address. I don't understand, as I thought DNS resolved the hostname to an address on the connecting client's side, then at protocol level always used the raw address, so how can this 'security' measure be possible?

  • phpmyadmin login should not expire on ubuntu 10.04

    On ubuntu 10.04 the phpmyadmin config is a little bit scattered. I want to set the loginexpiration time to zero, should never expire, this is a secured setup behind a firewall. I think it is 3600 by default but cannot find the setting. Where is it? Edit: I actually changed it in /etc/phpmyadmin/conf.inc.php which seems the recommended place for ubuntu. The other files mentioned below might be overwritten on updates.

    The on screen keyboard (OSK) from the "ease of access" tools pops up on EVERY connect to the server, even if you have not activated it. I can't seem to find a control panel or reg setting to switch it off. It is VERY "in your face" for linux users who connect at lower resolutions and do not provide all credentials, but have to type username and password. I'm running a 2008 R2 Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Server.

  • User cannot Add or Remove people from a distribution list using outlook.

    Recently we moved across a user and a distribution list from Exchange 2003 to 2010. The user used to be able to add and remove from a distribution list within Outlook. I have added them to the Managed by list in Exchange in the distribution list, but to no avail. They are getting an error message saying You do not have the sufficient permissions to perform this operation on this object. I cannot seem to find the setting to allow the user permissions.

    I am having an issue setting up Remote Web in SBS 2011 Essentials. Everything works except Remote Desktop, which keeps giving me SSL cert errors. Is there a way to override the TS Gateway's decision to not allow cert errors? If not, the specific error I am getting is that Remote Desktop is trying to connect using the DNS short name of our domain controller, but the certificate uses the FQDN, and as such, it reports an error and the connection never happens. Any ideas?

    My router is a Wag200g with openwag firmware. My laptop is connected to the university's internet through an ethernet cable and i have to set the browser proxy settings to connect. I want to create an ad-hoc network with a router so that i can let my laptop do the proxy routing/forwarding itself and that my android phone can connect to it and use my university's proxy (I've tried setting the proxy on my phone but it wont work)..
