  Hello, According to RFC 2109 cookie's value can be either HTTP token or quoted string, and token can't include non-ASCII characters. • Low-Hanging Fruit: Obfuscating non-critical values in JavaScript

  I'm making an in-browser game of the type "guess what place/monument/etc. is in this satellite/aerial view", using Google Maps JS API v3. However, I need to protect against cheaters - you have to pass a google.maps.LatLng and a zoom level to the map constructor, which means a cheating user only needs to view source to get to this data. I am already unsetting every value I possibly can without breaking the map (such as center and the manipulation functions like setZoom()), and initializing the map in an anonymous function (so the object is not visible in global namespace). Now, this is of course in-browser, client-side, untrusted JavaScript; I've read much of the obfuscation tag and I'm not trying to make the script bullet-proof (it's just a game, after all). I only need to make the obfuscation reasonably hard against the 1337 Java5kryp7 haxz0rz - "kid sister encryption", as Bruce Schneier puts it. Anything harder than base64 encoding would deter most cheaters by eliminating the lowest-hanging fruit - if the cheater is smart and determined enough to use a JS debugger, he can bypass anything I can do (as I need to pass the value to Google Maps API in plaintext), but that's unlikely to happen on a mass scale (there will also be other, not-code-related ways to prevent cheating). I've tried various minimizers and obfuscators, but those will mostly deal with code - the values are still shown verbatim. TL;DR: I need to obfuscate three values in JavaScript. I'm not looking for bullet-proof armor, just a sneeze-guard. What should I use?

  Dear all,Now i have this question in my java program,I think it should be classified as URL problem,but not 100% sure.If you think I am wrong,feel free to recategorize this problem,thanks. I would state my problem as simply as possible. I did a search on the famouse Chinese search engine baidu.com for a Chinese key word "???" (Obama in English),and the way I do that is to pass a URL (in a Java Program)to the browser like: http://news.baidu.com/ns?word=??? and it works perfectly just like I input the "???”keyword in the text field on baidu.com. However,now my advisor wants another thing.Since he can not read the Chinese webpages,but he wants to make sure the webpages I got from Baidu.com is related to "Obama",he asked me to google translate it back,i.e,using google translate and translate the Chinese webpage to English one. This sounds straightforward.However,I met my problem here. If I simply pass the URL "http://news.baidu.com/ns?word=???" into Google Translate and tick "Chinese to English" translating option,the result looks awful.(I don't know the clue here,maybe related to Chinese character encoding). Alternatively,if now my browser opens ""http://news.baidu.com/ns?word=???" webpage,but I click on the "????" button (that simply means "search"),you will notice the URL will get changed,now if I pass this URL into the Google translate and do the same thing,the result works much better. I hope I am not making this problem sound too complicated,and I appologize for some Chinese words invovled,but I really need your guys' help here.Becasue I did all this in a Java program,I couldn't figure out how to realize that "????"(pressing search button) step then get the new URL.If I could get that new URL,things are easy,I could just call Google translate in my Java code,and pops out the new window to show my advisor. • Downloading a file from a PHP page in C#

  Okay, we have a PHP script that creates an download link from a file and we want to download that file via C#. This works fine with progress etc but when the PHP page gives an error the program downloads the error page and saves it as the requested file. But then when i run the executable i noticed something odd: the name of the executable on the Consent dialog changed from PingWarning.exe to pinxxxx.tmp; as though a temp copy was made, and that is being run: i dug out Process Montior, to see if anyone is creating a *.tmp file when i launch my executable, and there is: The Application Information service inside this particular svchost container is intentionally copying my executable to the Windows temp folder, and asking for user "Consent" from there; giving an invalid filename. Once consent has been granted, the executable is run from its original location: link text The file is not copied to the temp folder if i do not digitally sign it: So my problem is the invalid filename appearing on the consent dialog when i digitally sign my executable which has been manifested as requireAdministrator. • Getting XML Numbered Entities with PHP 5 DOM

  Hello guys, I am new here and got a question that is tricking me all day long. I've made a PHP script, that reads a website source code through cURL, then works with DOMDocument class in order to generate a sitemap file. It is working like a charm in almost every aspect. The problem is with special characters. For compatibility reasons, sitemap files needs to have all special chars encoded as numbered entities. And I am not achieving that. For example, one of my entries - automatically read from site URLs, and wrote to sitemap file - is: http://www.somesite.com/serviços/redesign/ On the source code it should looks like: http://www.somesite.com/servi*ç*os/redesign/ Just this. But unfortunately, I am really not figuring it out how to do it. Source code file, server headers, etc... everything is encoded as UTF-8. I'm using DOMDocument and related extensions to build the XML. (Basically, DOMDocument, $obj-createElement, $obj-appendChild). htmlentities gives ç instead of ç str_replace does not work. It makes the character just vanish in the output. I was using $obj-createElement("loc", $url); on my code, and just now I read in PHP manual that I should use $document-createTextNode($page), in order to have entities encoding support. Well, it is not working either. Any idea on how to get unstuck of this? Thanks.

  This is a basic HTTP encoding and formatting question. I need to log in from a RESTFixture to a PHP web service. I need to pass in the account, username, and password, as POST variables just as a login page does. Wireshark shows that my login page formats it as accountNumber=accounttest&username=usertest&password=passtest When I do that in the test, I get a POST array of $_POST: Array ( [accountNumber] => accounttest [amp;username] => usertest [amp;password] => passtest ) That would work but the "amp;" obviously makes it so that PHP doesn't find the username. Content type is the same for both live and the test. [CONTENT_TYPE] = application/x-www-form-urlencoded Here are a few other formats I've tried with results. In all three cases, it fails to parse so all fields end up in one array entry. input: accountNumber=accounttest%amp;username=usertest%amp;password=passtest Result: $_POST: Array ( [accountNumber] = accounttest%amp;username=usertest%amp;password=passtest ) input: accountNumber=accounttest;username=usertest;password=passtest Result: $_POST: Array ( [accountNumber] => accounttest;username=usertest;password=passtest ) input: accountNumber=accounttest%26username=usertest%26password=passtest Result: $_POST: Array ( [accountNumber] = accounttest&username=usertest&password=passtest ) So the last one correctly converts the %26 to &, but doesn't break the items apart into array elements.

• Why does my MPMoviePlayerController disappear when I press play?

  I have a MPMoviePlayerController in a view, something like myMovie = [[MPMoviePlayerController alloc] initWithContentURL:URLfilme]; if (myMovie) { [myMovie setRepeatMode:MPMovieRepeatModeNone]; [myMovie setShouldAutoplay: NO]; [myMovie setScalingMode:MPMovieScalingModeAspectFit]; myMovie.view.frame = vFilme.bounds; [vFilme addSubview:[myMovie view]]; } The movie appears fine, I can scrub it, but when I press play, boooom, it vanishes. I have tried to retain myMovie but nothing changed. I have tried to play a video fullscreen and even using MPMoviePlayerViewController and is still disappears once I tap on play. Even the video player sample by Apple is not working. Is this a bug or what? EDIT Things are getting more interesting. If instead of playing the video manually by tapping on the play button I insert two timers, one to play the video and another one to pause it after 3 seconds, what I see is this: when the play is fired the video disappears and when the pause is fired the video reappears but when it does it has no controls. It is totally frozen, but the app continues to run normally. It is not anything related to video encoding, because I have tried with different videos, including one shot on the iPhone 4 and another shot on 3GS.

  I am trying to post some json to a URL. I saw various other questions about this on stackoverflow but none of them seemed to be clear or work. • How Do I Escape Apostrophes in Field Valued in SQL Server?

  I asked a question a couple days ago about creating INSERTs by running a SELECT to move data to another server. That worked great until I ran into a table that has full on HTML and apostrophes in it. What's the best way to deal with this? Lucking there aren't too many rows so it is feasible as a last resort to 'copy and paste'. But, eventually I will need to do this and the table by that time will probably be way too big to copy and paste these HTML fields. • Socket.Recieve Failing When Multithreaded

  The following piece of code runs fine when parallelized to 4-5 threads, but starts to fail as the number of threads increase somewhere beyond 10 concurrentthreads int totalRecieved = 0; int recieved; StringBuilder contentSB = new StringBuilder(4000); while ((recieved = socket.Receive(buffer, SocketFlags.None)) > 0) { contentSB.Append(Encoding.ASCII.GetString(buffer, 0, recieved)); totalRecieved += recieved; } The Recieve method returns with zero bytes read, and if I continue calling the recieve method then I eventually get a 'An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine'-exception. So I'm assuming that the host actually sent data and then closed the connection, but for some reason I never recieved it. I'm curious as to why this problem arises when there are a lot of threads. I'm thinking it must have something to do with the fact that each thread doesn't get as much execution time and therefore there are some idle time for the threads which causes this error. Just can't figure out why idle time would cause the socket not to recieve any data.

This URL contains two ampersands. I am encoding all the strings using "stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding", but the URL ends up in my new mail messagd truncated after the first ampersand. IE: "http://www.mydomain.nl/?cm=79&ctime=1246572000&cid=4772" becomes "http://www.mydomain.nl/?cm=79". Any suggestion what I could do to escape? • Using bash to copy file to spec folders

  I have a folder with a fair amount of subfolders. In some of the subfolders do I have a folder.jpg picture. What I try to do find that folder(s) and copy it to all other subfolders that got the same artist and album information then continue on to the next album etc. The structure of all the folders are "artist - year - album - [encoding information]". I have made a really simple one liner that find the folders that got the file but there am I stuck. ls -F | grep / | while read folders;do find "$folders" -name folder.jpg; done Anyone have any good tip or ideas how to solve this or pointers how to proceed? Edit: First of all, i´m real new to this (like you cant tell) so please have patience. Ok, let me break it down even more. I have a folder structure that looks like this: artist1 - year - album - [flac] artist1 - year - album - [mp3] artist1 - year - album - [AAC] artist2 - year - album - [flac] etc I like to loop over the set of folders that have the same artist and album information and look for a folder.jpg file. When I find that file do I like to copy it to all of the other folders in the same set. Ex if I find one folder.jpg in artist1 - year - album - [flac] folder do I like to have that folder.jpg copied to artist1 - year - album - [mp3] & artist1 - year - album - [AAC] but not to artist2 - year - album - [flac]. The continue the loop until all the sets been processed. I really hope that makes it a bit more easy to understand what I try to do :)
