I need to search only between items that match pattern Word* and not * Word *. For example if I search "roma", this need to match just with "Roma" or "Romania" and not with "Castelli di Roma". Is that possible with this searchbar? How can i modify this? Thanks

  Do you have some predefined set of targets which all build.xml files you create contain? For example, a lot of ant manuals suggest the following list of targets: init clean compile build jar test javadoc dist deploy webapp What is the most large build file you met in your life? How many targets did it have and what are they? How often do you need more than predefined set of targets? The goal is to develop some conventions to have standard buildfile template for any project having the notion of the maven-like approach in mind (when a lot of work happens under the cover, convention over configuration). Also it would be great if you know the place where one can find collection of different buildfiles to choose or to get inspired from.

  Hello, I have the following code: NSNumber *number = [NSNumber numberWithInt:5]; int i = [number retainCount]; [number release]; i = [number retainCount]; [number release]; i = [number retainCount]; the problem is that in line 2 , the value of parameter i is 2 and in line 4 the value is 1. then in line 6 the value is still 1.???????? first i dont understand why after init *number the retaincount is 2 and not 1?? second i dont understand why after release it 2 times retaincount is not 0? it doesnt matter how many times i release the object the retaincount stay 1.

• How do you fix "Too many open files" problem in Hudson?

  We use Hudson as a continuous integration system to execute automated builds (nightly and based on CVS polling) of a lot of our projects. Some projects poll CVS every 15 minutes, some others poll every 5 minutes and some poll every hour. Every few weeks we'll get a build that fails with the following output: FATAL: java.io.IOException: Too many open files java.io.IOException: java.io.IOException: Too many open files at java.lang.UNIXProcess.<init>(UNIXProcess.java:148) The next build always worked (with 0 changes) so we always chalked it up to 2 build jobs being run at the same time and happening to have too many files open during the process. This weekend we had a build fail Friday night (automatic nightly build) with the message and every other nightly build also failed. Somehow this triggered Hudson to continuously build every project which failed until the issue was resolved. This resulted in a build every 30 minutes or so of every project until sometime Saturday night when the issue magically disappeared.

  So I have a form that is using the Zend_Filter_Null filter. When I call it directly, it works: $makeZeroNull = new Zend_Filter_Null(); $null = $makeZeroNull->filter('0'); //$null === null However, when I try to add it to an element in my form, it doesn't filter the value when I call getValue(). class My_Form extends Zend_Form { public function init() { $makeZeroNull = new Zend_Filter_Null(); $this->addElement('text', 'State_ID', array('filters' => array($makeZeroNull))); } } //in controller if ($form->isValid($_POST)) { $zero = $form->State_ID->getValue(); //getValue() should return null, but it is returning 0 } What is going on? How comes the output of this code is: [0] [0, 1] [0, 1, 2] [0, 1, 2, 3] [0, 1, 2, 3, 4] ? If i switch obj = intlist() with obj = intlist(l=[]) I get the desired output [0] [1] [2] [3] [4] Why this happens? Thanks

  By default, Glassfish v3 doesn't set the httpOnly flag on session cookies (when created as usual with request.getSession()). I know, there is a method javax.servlet.SessionCookieConfig.setHttpOnly(), but I'm not sure, if that's the best way to do it, and if yes, where the best place would be to put that line. BTW, of course it can't be done in the servlet itself (e.g. in init()): java.lang.IllegalStateException: PWC1426: Unable to configure httpOnly session tracking cookie property for servlet context /..., because this servlet context has already been initialized Generally, I would prefer to use a configuration option e.g. in web.xml.

• In FLEX, How can you stop ENTER Key from my Alert being caught by the control that initiated the Al

  I am having an issue where I show an AlertBox message when the user hits ENTER and the focus is in a text area. The pop up works fine, but when the user hits enter the Alert closes as expected, but the TextArea listener receives the ENTER event from the Alert and pops the dialog up again. I have tried a number of ways to catch and eat the event but so far I have not been lucky. • Best way to daemonize Java application on Linux

  Hi. While I found this question being answered here on SW several times, I didn't find a concluding answer what is the best approach. I'm not looking to use any external wrapper, as I found them launching the java process under a nice level lower then themselves which potentially lowers the performance, so it seems only the shell methods are left. I so far found 3 different shell methods: start-stop-daemon RedHat daemon init.d function nohup on start / disown after start What you people are using, and can recommend as the most reliable method?   Hi I am discovering how to use git. I just made the following test: create a folder and 2 files then git init, git add ., git commit -m "initial commit" create a branch: git branch experimental, git checkout experimental then change the name of the folder and delete one of the files, then git add ., git commit -m "experimental" go back to master: git checkout master Surprise: I do not find the master as I left it; the folder has disappeared. And I have to do a git -reset --hard to find my folder. I wonder if I did something wrong or if I have not understood how git manages local changes. Thanks for your help.

The reason for this is that the init function is called only once, and in the remaining code, PATTERNS is strictly read-only. • How should I declare default values for instance variables in Python?

  Should I give my class members default values like this: class Foo: num = 1 or like this? class Foo: def __init__(self): self.num = 1 In this question I discovered that in both cases, bar = Foo() bar.num += 1 is a well-defined operation. I understand that the first method will give me a class variable while the second one will not. However, if I do not require a class variable, but only need to set a default value for my instance variables, are both methods equally good? Or one of them more 'pythonic' than the other? One thing I've noticed is that in the Django tutorial, they use the second method to declare Models. Personally I think the second method is more elegant, but I'd like to know what the 'standard' way is.

• How can I "override" deepcopy in Python?

  Hi there, I'd like to override __deepcopy__ for a given SQLAlchemy-mapped class such that it ignores any SQLA attributes but deepcopies everything else that's part of the class. I'm not particularly familiar with overriding any of Python's built-in objects in particular but I've got some idea as to what I want. Let's just make a very simple class User that's mapped using SQLA. class User(object): def __init__(self, user_id, name): self.user_id = user_id self.name = name I've used dir() to see, before and after mapping, what SQLAlchemy-specific attributes there are and I've found _sa_class_manager and _sa_instance_state. Provided those are the only ones how would I ignore that when defining __deepcopy__? Also, are there any attributes the SQLA injects into the mapped object? (I asked this in a previous question (as an edit a few days after I selected an answer to the main question, though) but I think I missed the train there. Apologies for that.)

  Hi, Some people have told me that my coding style is a lot different than theirs. I think I am somewhat neurotic when it comes to spacing and indenting though. Here's a snippet to show you what I mean: - ( void ) applicationDidFinishLaunching: ( UIApplication *) application { SomeObject *object = [ [ SomeObject alloc ] init ]; int x = 100 / 5; object.someInstanceVariable = ( ( 4 * x ) + rand() ); [ object someMethod ]; } Notice how I space out all of my brackets/parentheses, start curly braces on the same line, "my code has room to breathe", so to speak. So my questions are a) is this normal and b) What's your coding style?

There is a bin folder,src folder,build.xml,build.num and 3 .txt files when I extracted this folder. • Java application failing on special characters.

  An application I am working on reads information from files to populate a database. Some of the characters in the files are non-English, for example accented French characters. The application is working fine in Windows but on our Solaris machine it is failing to recognise the special characters and is throwing an exception. For example when it encounters the accented e in "Gérer" it says :- Encountered: "\u0161" (353), after : "\'G\u00c3\u00a9rer les mod\u00c3" (an exception which is thrown from our application) I suspect that in order to stop this from happening I need to change the file.encoding property of the JVM. I tried to do this via System.setProperty() but it has not stopped the error from occurring. Are there any suggestions for what I could do? I was thinking about setting the basic locale of the solaris platform in /etc/default/init to be UTF-8. Does anyone think this might help? Any thoughts are much appreciated.
