• Outlook 2007 - slow loading messages

  Outlook 2007 is slow to load messages...Why is this, and what can I do to speed it up? Currently have about 850 messages in the Inbox folder, and the preview pane turned off, thus I view messages by double-clicking. This is where it gets slow, when I double click, it brings up a new window with everything but the actual message loaded, which then takes several more seconds to appear. Solutions? Thanks!   My first question so please be gentle :) I have a client who is insisting that they have to let their third party vendor support access to there server directly from the internet via RDP. Our policy does not allow direct access to the infrastructure from outside of the data centre for administration except from an approved VPN connection and then virtual desktop there on to the servers. I am now in the situation where I must give good reasons why it is dangerous to use RDP over the public internet. any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance Stuart

• Windows "save" dialog listing files in reverse alphabetical order by default

  Imagine this: no matter which software, when I hit "SAVE", the file explorer dialog that appears is listing my files in reverse-alpha order. This happens by default on all folders and is just an annoyance because on each folder i have to set the view pane to Details then re-sort in alpha order. Browsing through my PC just using explorer works fine, this happens only on SAVE or OPEN dialog boxes (regardless of the software). Any trick to reset this to alpha order globally? thanks!

• Linux RedHat EL Server 5.2 install on a RAID 5 disk set using GPT not supported?

  Has anyone had experience with setting up Linux RedHat EL Server 5.2 on a hardware platform were the boot partition is larger than 2Tb? Every time I have tried this I get the message that RedHat does not support the boot partition on a GPT volume. Is there a work around for this as I have read that you can use parted but I am not sure how to invoke this on install? Thanks in advance.

  I'm running a script like below on a SQL Server box and, even though it finishes correctly, then when, on SQL Mgmt UI, I right click on that job's properties, go to Schedules, I cannot see the schedule just added... what am I missing?   Hello, A DAS box is attached to my linux box using LSI SCSI HBA. Volume is properly detected on the linux box and filesystem is created using mkfs.ext2 /dev/sdc #No partition table I can not mount the volume using mount/dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 But I can mount it using mount /dev/sdc /mnt/temp -t ext3 -o loop Can anybody please tell me what "-o loop" option does internally?
