• Enabled Apache mod_status but server-status was not found on SUSE enterprise 11 SP1

  In /etc/apache2/httpd.conf, I have remove the line of Include mod_status and add the following to the last line, LoadModule status_module /usr/lib/apache2/mod_status.so ExtendedStatus On <Location /server-status> SetHandler server-status AllowOverride None Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Allow from all </Location> Then I restart Apache, and go to http://HOSTNAME/server-status, but I get the page not found, Did someone know why I get page not found? Is there any more step needed to do to see the Apache status? Thanks

• Is it possible to find deleted objects in active directory without the assistance of a DLP software?

  It seems like a large number of security groups have been deleted from the organization's AD. i was able to find the tombstones but i see there 1400 objects from the last 180 days and i know for certain that the important groups which have been deleted, have been deleted somewhere between yesterday's night and now. Is there a way, maybe by using power shell to extract the names of all objects which have been deleted through out the night? Thanks in advance Itai

  Best practices indicate that one should list 127.0.0.1 in the DNS list for the network adapter configuration for a Domain Controller, but not as the first one. With that said, what is the best place to put it in a list with more than two DNS servers listed? Second, last, or it doesn't matter? Also helpful would be an explanation as to why. • Stop Windows 2003 queued error messages

  Hello, Each time I reboot a Windows 2003 server, after Windows has restared I get message dialogs for all the application crashes that happened since the last reboot. So after each reboot I have to click "Don't send" countless times, for crashes that happened weeks before. How can the display of these error messages be stopped?   I'm setting up multisite on localhost in subdirectories. The problem is that when I'm trying to access the dashboard of a site I just created ( localhost/wptest/site/wp-admin ) I get "This webpage has a redirect loop" and when I try to access the actual website ( localhost/wptest/site ) the page loads but without assets, such as css. When I access the network dashboard, or the primary site dashboard on localhost/wptest everything is just fine. Also when I edit the permalink of the second site in the network dashboard, to be like this: localhost/site it also runs fine. How to make it work with the default permalink structure localhost/wptest/site?   Clients that have been reporting their state fine suddenly start reporting "Windows 0.0" for their OS and "Not yet contacted" for their Last Contacted date even though previously these values were present and correct. We want to make it so that this automatically deletes (or preferably MOVES to another folder on the same shared drive) all the files that haven't been accessed in the last two weeks. • Virtual Box between differnt PCs

  I am using Virtual Box machine (as .vdi) on external HDD drive so I can move it between different pcs. On each PC I have created new VM machine, attached that vdi and it seems working well. However, I've noticed that during my last transfer the latest installed applications were not saved on the .vdi, which made me to loose 1 day of work. I don't remember of doing any snapshots which I could merge. Can someone give me a hint how to handle this efficiently in feature?

• Start menu entries suddenly missing

  I am using Windows 7 x64 SP1 with all updates applied. During the last weeks I observed that some start menu entries / folders suddenly disappeared. Those programs then sometimes can be found using the search function of the start menu, then however they are labeled by the name of their executable (like photoshop instead of Adobe Photoshop). Does anyone know where to start looking for errors? Does the start menu has anything to do with windows search? I doubt it?

• Ubuntu not booting, recovery mode not loading

  I have a dual-boot Ubuntu 11.10 and Windows 7 machine setup and last night I had to force shutdown Ubuntu during updates because it wasn't responding. Since then, Ubuntu will not boot up, only flashing a blank lit screen for a split second every couple of seconds. Booting in recovery mode does not help either, as it doesn't load at all. If anyone can help me diagnose what's wrong and figure out what to do, that would be greatly appreciated!

  I've been working on getting my snort machine up and running, and working through Snort IDS and IPS Toolkit. The authors suggest using Oinkmaster, but on that website, the last update was February of 2008. That seems sort of...odd. Maybe there haven't been any issues with oinkmaster in the past year and a half, but it made me wonder if there was another solution that I don't know about. If you use snort, do you automatically update your rules, and if so, how?

• Large quotation marks in Word?

  Is there a simple way in MS Word to get large quotation marks tightly round a paragraph of text, like you might see in print media to mark a quote? If you simply increase the font size of the quote character, it moves too far away from the text it's accompanying. Worse, the first and last lines start to detach from the rest of the paragraph. Here's what I mean (this is Calibri I think): But this is the desired effect (can't do this in Word, had to chop it about in a paint package):
