  • Format text to 5 chars from a number

    In Access, I used a query to sum some numbers and appended the answer to another table(table2). Now I need to export the number as a text with 5 positions but can't seem to get it to hard code all 5 positions. I have it formatted as text, field length 5, custom foramt "00000" (also tried @@@@@). Example: 3 + 3 + 1 = 7. THen append the 7 to table2. It always shows as 7. I need it to shows as 00007.

  • Werid formating in Word 2010

    A few months ago, while writing a paper, I copied some paragraphs created in another computer into a different computer. I guess the formatting was different. Please see the following image: I noticed that a strange formatting has also been imported. I thought it would go away when I select all and choose a format. But the problem did not go away. Now, when I am trying to finish the paper, the weird formatting still remaining. Does anyone have any solution? Also, how to make sure that when we copy something from a file with different Styles, we retain the destination style definitions. EDIT I would prefer a solution where I do not have to re-do the formatting manually.

    This question is about the Microsoft Sync Framework. Is it possible to sync a DbServerSyncProvider with a KnowledgeSyncProvider? (SqlCeSyncProvider for example).     Hi, I have an WPF Microsoft Surface Applikation and I'm using MVVM-Pattern. I have some buttons that are created in code behind. And I would like to bind commands to them but I only know how that works in the XAML like this: <Custom:SurfaceButton Command="{Binding SaveReservationCommandBinding, Mode=OneWay}"/> But I cannot do it like this because my buttons do not exist in the XAML, only in the code behind. So how would a command binding like that works in code behind?

Years ago I read Petzold's book and loved it because it was so complete and by the end I really felt like I knew what I was doing... Is their something equivalent for the .NET world?

  • Implementing "View as HTML" for Word and PDF documents on an intranet

    I am looking for a way to implement "View as HTML" (as seen in e.g. GMail) for Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF documents stored in an intranet. Can anyone recommend approaches for this? The intranet consists of multiple .NET sites, so I would prefer a .NET library (one that doesn't launch MS Word on the server) for this capability, but any kind of arrangement is welcome.

  • "Invalid Column Name" error thrown by Access Reports?

    I am attempting to sum over a detail grouping on a specific field in Microsoft Access, and assign that sum to a field in the general grouping. When I try to run the report, I get an "Invalid Column Name" error with the detail field getting the error. Has anyone previously encountered this? If so, any ideas what might be causing it or how to solve it?
