    Hi, does BlackBerry has any possibility to track focus or scroll change direction? I will describe a case. On UI we have a list and some horizontal tab bar (tab bar at top and below the list actually). If User is somewhere in the middle of a list and decides to click another tab, it appears a little difficult to put focus on the Tab control, so User scrolls to the first list item and after changes focus to tab (as a result very long operation). The point here How to catch event of horizontal scroll to change currently focused tab? And after if you scroll (by trackball) vertically you go back to list. Possibly you can advice with the right approach how to resolve such issues? Thanks Lyubomyr

  • How to change the app name in OSX menubar in a pure-Python application bundle?

    I am trying to create a pure-Python application bundle for a wxPython app. I created the .app directory with the files described in Apple docs, with an Info.plist file etc. The only difference between a "normal" app and this bundle is that the entry point (CFBundleExecutable) is a script which starts with the following line: #!/usr/bin/env python2.5 Everything works fine except that the application name in the OSX menubar is still "Python" although I have set the CFBundleName in Info.plist (I copied the result of py2app, actually). The full Info.plist can be viewed here: http://tinyurl.com/32qgpjt How can I change this? I have read everywhere that the menubar name is only determined by CFBundleName. How is it possible that the Python interpreter can change this in runtime? Note: I was using py2app before, but the result was too large (50 MB instead of the current 100KB) and it was not even portable between Leopard and Snow Leopard... so it seems to be much easier to create a pure-Python app bundle "by hand" than transforming the output of py2app.

    I have a simple in-line edit in my grid, and I want to commit the change when the user tabs off the textbox. The default behavior of jqGrid forces the user to press 'Enter' to commit the change, but this is non-intuitive for our users. onSelectRow: function(id) { $(gridCoreGroups).editRow(id, true, undefined, function(response) { alert("hello world"); } } I've worked my way through the events provided, but they all happen as a result of the user pressing 'Enter', which I want to avoid. Is there something I can wire up that would trigger an action when the user tabs off this cell?

    I am doing an app with about 6-7 views and their corresponding controllers. I am in a view with a toolbar and button. When I click this button a popup view comes and my control is being moved to the popup view's Controller. But my view is still the same. From this popupview Controller's class, I want to change my original view. But since I am not in my original viewControllers class, I am not able to change it. How can I overcome this? Can anyone plz help me?

    In my system, I create a custom audience - data file - mobile advertiser ids with 10k user. After I created it, I refreshed API link to get information about the audience which I've just created: https://graph.facebook.com/act_xxx/customaudiences?fields=id,account_id,name,lookalike_spec,retention_days,subtype,approximate_count,rule,delivery_status,operation_status,data_source,permission_for_actions&limit=500&access_token=xxx. (After breaking change in October 2014, status field not return. So I see operation_status) I see that: "operation_status": { "code": 410, "description": "No file has been uploaded for this audience, or the previous upload has failed due to system error. Please try uploading the file again." } But after about 10s, I refresh again, and operation_status change to: "operation_status": { "code": 200, "description": "Normal" } My quetions is: how to check this audience's status is waiting ( uploading file) , like when I create on facebook not my our system.     Hello, I'm trying to use YQL's spelling and search suggestions, but as much as I try I cant find a way to change the language/region for the query, how is this done?     Hi all, I see a backdrop being added to my launch icon on the Samsung Galaxy S devices. I need this backdrop changed to a custom backdrop which we created. I know this can be changed since apps like"Daily Briefing" have their own cloud like backdrop making the launch icon look really rich. If anyone does know how to change this backdrop please let me know. I am talking about the background image set behind the icons. Eg: in the below image on the 1st row can you notice the yellow backdrop for Memo app, Green backdrop for Mini Diary app, similarily in the 3rd row notice the green backdrop behind the MAIL app....   • Why does schema.rb change (in the eyes of Git) when just running rake db:migrate?!

    This is a little general I know, but it's been bugging the hell out of me. I've been working on lots of rails projects remotely with Git and every time I do a git pull and see that there is some sort of data change (migration, or schema.rb change) I do a rake db:migrate. These generally run fine and I can continue working. But if you do a git pull and then git status, your working directory is clean (obviously) then do a rake db:migrate (obviously when there are changes) and another git status and all the sudden your db/schema.rb has changed. I have been just doing a git checkout immediately to reset back to the latest committed version of the schema.rb file, but why should this be necessary?! What is rails doing? Updating a timestamp? I can't seem to figure out what the diff is but maybe I'm just missing something?

Is it possible to do it? Thanks. P.S. I know the practice of changing the primary key is highly discouraged. My problem is that my primary key is backed by a natural Id of the entity, which may sometimes change. We could, theoretically, utilize a unique primary key, unrelated to the natural key of the entity, but this complicates things too much in other places, so this is not an option.

    Hi.. I am having a table view with default UITableViewCell of style UITableViewCellStyleValue2. I just want to move detailTextLabel few pixels to the right. I know it makes no sense to adjust its width and height :). I am trying to set detailTextLabel's frame with my x and y value. But its not affecting the its frame. I prefer to use default UITableViewCell, in this case, over a customized cell because the default UITableViewCell automatically manages the text alignment and centering of the labels.. How to change UITableViewCell detailTextLabel's frame? Am I allowed to change its frame? Thanks everyone..

  • How to force SQL Server 2008 to not change AUTOINC_NEXT value when IDENTITY_INSERT is ON ?

    Hello, I got question about IDENTITY_INSERT. When you change it to ON, SQL Server automatically changes AUTOINC_NEXT value to the last inserted value as identity. So if you got only one row with ID = 1 and insert row with ID = 100 while IDENTITY_INSERT is ON then next inserting row will have ID = 101. I'd like it to be 2 without need to reseed. Such behaviour already exists in SQL Server Compact 3.5. Is it possible to force SQL Server 2008 to not change AUTOINC_NEXT value while doing insert with IDENTITY_INSERT = ON ?

    Eclipse's default template for new types (Window Preferences Code Style Code Templates New Java Files) looks like this: ${filecomment} ${package_declaration} ${typecomment} ${type_declaration} Creating a new class, it'll look something like this: package pkg; import blah.blah; public class FileName { // Class is accessible to everyone, and can be inherited } Now, I'm fervent in my belief that access should be as restricted as possible, and inheritance should be forbidden unless explicitly permitted, so I'd like to change the ${type_declaration} to declare all classes as final rather than public: package pkg; import blah.blah; final class FileName { // Class is only accessible in package, and can't be inherited } That seems easier said than done. The only thing I've found googling is a 2004 question on Eclipse's mailing list which was unanswered. So, the question in short: How can I change the default class/type modifiers in Eclipse? I'm using Eclipse Galileo (3.5) if that matters.

    I want to provide a clickthrough on the list in a tab which opens another view. I need to open the new view within the same tab. I then need to provide a back button on the changed layout to change the view to original view. I have tried this. Intent intentA = new Intent(this, AView.class); Now I am trying to access the tabSpec from main activity class[MainTabView] and set the intent as follows. MainTabView.tabSpec1.setContent(intentA); MainTabView.mTabHost.setCurrentTab(0); MainTabView.mTabHost.invalidate(); But this does not change the view immediately but changes it when I go to another tab and come to the starting tab. How can I make it to refresh it as soon as the content has been changed to another intent?

    I have a component where i want to display a custom jtooltip. That is easy, just change the getTooltip method. Similar for location and text. However i also want to change the timers. The tooltip should always be displayed if the mouse is over a cellrenderer of the component. If it leaves all of those it should be turned invisible. I know that i can use TooltipManager to control the times globally. But the best solution is probably to just shortcircut that and display the tooltip myself with a mouselistener. However when i tried to do that (unregister the component in TooltipManager and setting the tooltip visible, with text and in the correct position, in a mouse listener) the tooltip never showed at all. What am i doing wrong?

  • Is there a slick way to deploy my silverlight app and change settings programmatically?

    I am fairly new to web development. I am at the point of deployment (for testing). I have a few places (maybe 4 places) where I had to add a URI that was non-relative into the appliation. So now, at deployment, those need to be changed. Is there a slick way of handling this? By slick I mean not manually going through the app and changing the URIs or a blanket find and replace (too risky). I only have 4 places to change now, but this could easily change and cause deployment issues. I am using a Microsoft technology stack. Silverlight, ASP.NET, RIA, etc. Development is done in Visual Studio 2010. I noticed that the web projects have a nifty transformation for the web.config...which is nice. Is there an equivalent mechanism for silverlight resources? Any other ways? Any thoughts?

    Hi, while my swing app is running I change the size of the screen (e.g. from 1024x768 to 800x600). Is there any event I can listen to to be notified about this? Alternatively I could check the screen size in every couple of second, but the Toolkit.getScreenSize() keeps telling me the old value. How could I get the real screen size after the change?
