• How to get new screws for HP Dv7 laptop

  The other day I have noticed that there are 3 screws missing from the bottom of my 3 month old HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 laptop. This is causing me various problems such as an unstable screen, and who knows what else soon. My laptop is still under the basic warranty, however, I live outside the USA where I purchased it. What is the best way to get replacement screws for my laptop besides looking around the house and trying to find one that fits? Let me know if you need pictures

  i could use a little help with rewrite and nginx... Basically the structure of my App looks like this Headdirectory -- -APPBase -SomeMoreStuff -WWWDirectory .htaccess So i need to redirect into the WWWDirectory when i open the Headdirectory. In Apache its done with a htaccess and the following Content : RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^(.*) www/$1 I already tried in Nginx : location /Headdirectory { rewrite ^/(.*) /www/$1; } And i tried to create an Alias but that didnt work... • Can I increase Windows 7 start menu vertical size to let mire items fit in it?

  I hate putting shortcuts/files on desktop as well as crawling through "All Programs" menu any frequently (and I only pin some essential every-day applications to the task bar). So, I put all the programs I occasionally use to the start menu itself (above the automatic recently used programs section). But even though I've switched it to use small icons, I run out of vertical space in it (just about 16 shortcuts fit there at maximum).

  I have a Windows 7 computer which have a strange behavior: when preview is enabled in explorer, I double-click on any Word document, Word is launched, the document is loaded, and immediatly explorer is in the foreground window (so Word is in the background). The whole process take less than one second. Only with Word. Not Excel or anything. Only on one computer (5 others are identical and installed the same day).

  have a terminal server 2003 that about 50users can use, users are saving documents on the desktop, today users complain that documents on the desktop is missing, no upgrades or changes has been done the error is that the server reverted to load items the folder name "Desktop" instaed of using the local language "Skrivbord" (swedish for desktop) So the files are still on the server located under the users swedish folder name, but server does not load it, server however does load files located under the English folder name how can the terminal server from one day to another just change from where it loads the user profile desktop files?

• Monitoring folder diffs across servers with zabbix

  Problem: I want to make sure that a certain folder is equal regarding it's contents across my servers. I do not want an automatic filesync to keep them equal, changing is done manually. My initial thought was to once a day calculate some crc/hash on folder and send to Zabbix, and trigger when values differ. Is there any good tools out there that can calculate crc or similar of a folder? Anyone know of another solution that solves my problem?

  Has anybody who administers email servers or spam filtering noticed that in last couple of weeks the spam volume has dropped significantly? Is there a chart provided by one of the major spam filtering companies? Edit: Based on our internal stats, although it varies, on the two weeks starting the day after Christmas (Sunday), spam seems to be coming in about half as much as it did before Christmas.

• Default setting for dual monitors (using Win+P)

  I have two displays (one monitor and one TV) connected to my card via DVI. I switch between them with Win+P (when I'm using XBMC I set "only projector"). Most of the time, I use it during late hours, so I just turn off the PC (with XBMC's option "shutdown") and go to sleep. All fine, but on the next day my display is changed (to "only projector"). Bottom line is - how can I set my Windows 7 to have "only monitor" each time system boots?

  I have a self hosted server with Apache2 pointed with the domain example.com. I have also some virtual servers www.example.com, cloud.examle.com, etc. This server is in my LAN, and when I try to acces to my server within the lan throw www.examle.com y get my router's configuration page. From outside the LAN www.example.com and cloud.examle.com works properly. From inside the LAN 192.168.1.33 (server internal IP) shows the default webpage (www.examle.com), but I can not get cloud.examle.com I also have a LAN name server in 192.168.1.33 with bind9. I set up my gateway 192.168.1.1 with my LAN-NS as primary NS I solve this problem creating a new dns zone in the NS. This are my config files: ;ZONE-1 $ORIGIN . $TTL 86400 ; 1 day home.lan.   I am using gmail as my email provider, and I only have gmail servers for my mx records. I don't like the 500 message per day cap. To address this issue I would like to run postfix on my Linux machine to only send email, port 25 blocked by my firewall. I can send email, however google marks all messages sent with postfix as SPAM. How do I make sure that people know email sent with postfix is valid?

• How to prevent WD MyBook Live Duo from going to sleep?

  I have an issue of my WD MyBook Live Duo going into some kind of low power standby mode when it hasn't been accessed for awhile. When I try accessing the drive it takes a minute or two to become responsive. When this happens Windows Explorer says the drive is unavailable. If I'm accessing the drive regularly throughout the day then this issue doesn't occur. Does anyone know of a way to make the drive more readily accessible on demand?

• Getting SEC to only monitor latest version of a log file?

  I have been tasked with running SEC to help correlate PHP logs. The basic setup is pretty straightforward, the problem I'm having is that we want to monitor a log file whose name contains the date(php-2012-10-01.log for instance). How can I tell SEC to only monitor the latest version of the file(and of course switch to the newest log file every day at midnight) I could do something like create a latest version of the file that links to the latest version and run a cron job at midnight to update the link, but I am looking for a more elegant solution
