    When a user triggers a Javascript action, I want the JW FLV to seek back 5 seconds from the current location. I know how to send events using player.sendEvent('SEEK',seconds).   • Jquery: highlight element on mouseover without hanging or lagging.

    When I had elements highlighted upon mouseover, it would work fine with sites with minimal number of elements. But when the number of elements on a page was very big, the effect would "lag" so to speak. It would take a while for each elements to highlight upon mouseover event. Has someone solved this problem successfully ? I've seen a prototype.js example that does not lag.

    I am looking for a template engine to use client side. I have been trying a few like jsRepeater and jQuery Templates. While they seem to work OK in FireFox they all seem to break down in IE7 when it comes down to rendering HTML tables. I also took a look at MicrosoftAjaxTemplates.js (from http://www.codeplex.com/aspnet/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=16766) but turns out that has the same problem. Any advice on other templating engines to use?

    I am trying to implement something very similar to Yelp's moving map. See: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=restaurants&ns=1&find_loc=mountain+view%2C+ca Basically it starts off somewhere in the middle of the page, but if you scroll down far enough that you wouldn't be able to see it, it moves down as well. What is the best way to do this in javascript? My app is in GWT, but I think I will have to use native js to achieve this effect. Thanks, Jean

When I click the program button(it´s a tag), it´s ok, it´s shows the table on the div´s. But, when I click the events button, again it´s shows the program tag contents, and I want to show the events table content. I´ve read de solution for this question on this site, but not happens, when i change my JS file, the content of both tags disapears. Please, somebody help me!...Thank´s

I want to be able to browse the PDF, with next and prev arrows, page numbers, etc etc I want to be able to browse the PDF without using any Flash Plugin. I also want to normalize the browsing behaviour, so i don't want to use the default PDF plugin of the browser. I'm looking for a JS plugin but i don't find interesting solutions.     I have a partial view (UserControl) that implements a simple pager in my Asp.Net MVC project. This pager needs access to a .js file that needs to be included exactly once, regardless of how many instances of the pager control are present on the parent page. I've tried to use Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptInclude, but it had no effect (I assume because the code nugget was evaluated too late to impact the head control). Is there any simple alternative?

  • Leading underscore in directory name in IIS 5.

    In IIS 5 one of the directories off the root has a leading underscore. All files under the directory are unreachable (404) from the browser. I have verified that the paths are correct.     I'm confused, I regularly read talk of server-side JS, why would I want to use that? It seems like it would execute way slower than pretty much any other language, it also lacks many conventions that more sophisticated languages have. Is it possible to hand entire objects from the client to the server, manipulate them and return them back? Just struggling to understand the concepts of it.

In Chrome however I get a blank grid.
