  • How to retrieve JSON Data Array from ExtJS Store

    Is there a method allowing me to return my stored data in an ExtJS Grid Panel exactly the way I loaded it using: var data = ["value1", "value2"] Store.loadData(data); I would like to have a user option to reload the Grid, but changes to the store need to be taken into account. The user can make changes and the grid is dynamically updated, but if I reload the grid, the data that was originally loaded is shown even though the database has been updated with the new changes. I would prefer not to reload the page and just let them reload the grid data itself with the newly changed store. I guess im looking for something like this: var data = Store.getData(); //data = ["value1", "value2"] after its all said and done. Or is there a different way to refresh the grid with new data that I am not aware of. Even using the proxy still uses the "original" data, not the new store. Thanks in advance

    I'm working on Rails 3.0.0.beta2, following Advanced Rails Recipes "Recipe #32, Mark locations on a Google Map" and I hit a road block: I do not see a google map. My @adds view uses @adds.to_json to connect the google maps api with my model. My database contains "latitude" "longitude", as floating points. And the entire project can be accessed at github. Can you see where I'm not connecting the to_json output with the javascript correctly? Can you see other glairing errors in my javascript? Thanks in advance!   • API access to a manually-created Google Map

    I have a number of public custom Google Maps created via http://maps.google.com/ - obviously associated with my google account. Can I access these maps via the Google Maps javascript api? The api doesn't appear to work with the manually created maps located on maps.google.com from what I can tell? And if not, is there another way to store overlay data (markers, etc) that the javascript api can grab and load into the map on the client's browser? Am thinking a service like dabbleDB, except that I don't think they offer write access via javascript (this would be necessary for the user adding markers to the map, for example) Obviously I could create a db layer on my server, but am looking for a 'cloud' solution that removes the strain from my databases!!

  • jQuery UI AutoComplete remote json response question

    I was using geonames.org to autocomplete city and state but found it to be far too slow to be reliable. My code is as follows, and does work (wait about 10 seconds to see the autocomplete results) Old (working) code here: http://jsbin.com/umewo3/2/edit Now I am using YQL as they provide a much quicker response. The issue is that I don't seem to understand how to properly map the response. You can see I am sending a well formed request, and getting the response back - but I am somehow not dealing with the response properly.   • Is google gson running on android?

    I'm playing arround with google gson for communication with my web back end at the moment. This and this older posts indicate that there are some problems with gson on android. I did some easy tests on the device already but maybe I just missed the bug. Edit I'm now parsing a lot more data. Generic lists etc. still not encountered the bug. Has anybody used gson on Android already? How does it work? Has somebody encountered bugs or something that will stop me from using it once it gets more complicated?

  • Gson module not found Blackberry Java application

    Hi. I'm developing a simple application for Blackberry and i'm using Google's gson to retrieve some data from a server. The UI was working fine but when I added the gson part it started failing, it wont run. When I run the application in the simulator it show this error: "Uncaught: RuntimeException" on that annoying white screen of death and after holding the click button I can see that there is an alert dialog that says "Module 'gson-1.4' not found". However I did added "gson-1.4.jar" in the Project's Properties - Java Build Path - Add External JARs... also, the Gson objects are recognized at my code, no syntax errors at my code. BTW, I'm using Eclipse and the most recent Blackberry SDK Please help
