  • dual-boot windows7+8

    i partitioned my 500gb hdd into 2partitions named the 2nd partition windows8 and tried to enter my windows8 OS on my laptop on the 2nd partition (200gb)size but the OS didnt give me the option to which partition to load it on. so i cancelled the loading and tried again but the same result. what can i do to resolve this situation thanks if you can help RON SHAW

  • SConfig - option 12). restore graphical user interface - not present

    Started off with a Server Core install to which I then added the GUI with: Install-WindowsFeature Server-Gui-Shell, Server-Gui-Mgmt-Infra So far so good, I then removed the GUI again to get back to text only mode with: Remove-WindowsFeature Server-Gui-Shell, Server-Gui-Mgmt-Infra Now at this point I should beable to use SConfig option 12 to reinstall the GUI again but that SConfig option is missing: "12) Restore Graphical User Interface (GUI)" not present, how can I get SConfig to display this option? Has anyone else noticed that this option is missing. Thanks, Nick

My configuration like this: 1-) I configured my domain to total dns control by setting nameservers to total dns control's. 2-) In total dns control panel i set A host to directly my VPS's ip address. 3-) Also i configured mx records to google apps. Everythings looks good but i am thinking that is this technuqie has any negative effects ? Thanks

    I am a new Mac user and have an iMac. Coming from the Windows world where everything is installer based, OS X seems to mount .dmg files and run them. I've seen this happen prior to an install and later it requests us to move an icon to the Applications folder. Could someone help me unclutter the install process on OS X. What or how does it work?     here is how posterous works, I make a A record of DNS of my domain (blog.mydomainname.com) to posterous IP address 67.207.139.81 , in the manage panel of posterous , i put my custom domain (blog.meetingly.com). Then i can reach my posterous blog http://mydomainname.posterous.com from http://blog.mydomainname.com url. How posterous implements this? Is this a DNS level thing or web server level setting?     Hitachi DFT hangs (it gets all the way to "Loading DFT" and hangs with a blinking cursor) when I use it on various computers (the latest computer to hang being a Dell Vostro 1000 laptop) and works on others. What determines when it will hang and when it won't? What similar program can I use (boot CD) that can determine HD health reliably? Thanks!

    I am using Linux Malware Detect to scan and report on malware, but on a daily basis I receive alerts for malware in users emails (mainly spam folder). I do not want alerts for this, the spam folders are cleaned often, and the users may clean it also. I tried adding wildcards into /usr/local/maldetect/ignore_paths as follows but they are not ignored: /home/*/homes/*/Maildir /home/?/homes/?/Maildir Does anyone know how to exclude folders using wildcards, as it would not be practical to add the full path of every users mail directory.   • Forcing authentication for local domains

    Today I mentioned strange issue on my ispconfig 3 installation. After some debugging it was clear that anyone can send emails to local domains without authentication. I checked main.cf and sow that smtp_senders_restriction pointing to mail_access table in ispconfig database. The issue is that table is empty and I'm not sure how to add record there through ispconfig interface. Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance.

    I have some data that is from a Postgres database dump (not csv or anything) and I am looking to get it into MS SQL. Is there an easy way to do this or a free tool that doesn't have limits on data import size etc? The Postgres is on a Debian VM and I could export it to csv in there but I am new to Linux and don't know how I would transfer it from the VM to Win 7. Thanks
