  • Adding an assembly to the GAC

    Somehow my GAC got messed up, System.Core.dll was unregistered or something. I don't have the win7 sdk so I can't just use gacutil. Is there some way I can add the single assembly to the gac? Or some way to download JUST gacutil? Is the GAC stored in the registry? If so, where? Thanks for the help, this is a pretty ugly bug.

    Hi, I install apache, mysql, php and then phpmyadmin on ubuntu desktop 10.04 version I test apache: localhost with browser and its works. I test mysql with console and its works. I test phpmyadmin http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ and get error 404 not found I see that solution for that brobem, copy /phpmyadmin/ to /www/, but I dont want to put in /www/ to my websites files (maybe I wrong or miss something-please tell me in this case). How this problem can be solved in the best way? Thanks

    I'd have a complex folder structure like: h:\folder1\folder2\folder3 h:\folder1\folder2\a h:\folder1\b h:\folder1\folder3 h:\folder1\folder4\d Only with probably 100's of folders and a depth of around 4 (I'm guessing) Anyway I want to run a command that will move all the files from every sub folder into the top level folder. so something like h:\folder1\*\*.* to h:\folder1 Is there a tool I can use to do this? does win 7 have a command that will do this? And then i got the following error in my boot process : warning: unable to find a suitable fs in /proc/mounts, is it mounted ? use --subdomainfs to override what is that mean anyway ? thanks.

    Hi all, Please redirect me if there is a similar question, but I have an ECS P4VXASD2+ (V5.0) motherboard, which supports a 533 MHz FSB. I want to put in a Pentium 4 3.2 GHz processor (Socket 478) with an FSB of 800 MHz. Would this be possible? Would the FSB of the processor just be limited to 533 MHz? Thanks in advance.

    For my small company, I'm using Tomahawk Backup as the enterprise offshore solution, as it covers files, databases and Exchange (brick level). The problem is the price... it costs more than 10x the price of Dropbox (and others) for the same space (120GB), and doesn't have de-duplication. So I'm wondering: assuming there is no problem with backing up files only (ie copying the exchange store file and the db files to the Dropbox folder), would Dropbox be suitable as the offsite backup solution?     I've install apache2 on an Unbuntu 12.04 machine, but I can't get the server to start at boot time. Although I've tried many things : reinstall apache2 run update-rc.d apache2 enable But each time the apache2 is not start after boot time : I get nothing with a pgrep apache2 or a ps -e | grep apache2 UPDATE I've also tried the logging tweak suggested in another related post, but no entries at all can be found in /var/log/syslog What could I do to make it work ?   • Keep chrome extensions icons permanently ordered

    I like to have the extensions like Gmail Checker and Google Voice checker closest to my eyes, therefore closer to the url bar. I have tried disabling and enabling extensions to order them correctly, but once I close chrome, they appear in a different order (always the same undesirable "different" order). Is there a way to prevent them from rearranging themselves? Thanks

    Direct shot to foot moment... While setting-up individual non-admin accts for MSSQLSERVER services, I temporarily set Server service login to Local System account. I remembered later that: SQL Server Configuration Manager performs additional configuration such as setting permissions in the Windows Registry so that the new account can read the SQL Server settings. I want my Local System back . (Actually just restored to its original security profile) Any advice? Thanks!

    Hi people, i recently buy WD Mybook Essential HDD 1 TB. I downloaded and install Smartware software in both my desktop (windows xp) and laptop (Windows 7) but in both case the s/w is not able to detect the external hard disc. It shows desktop/laptop (Whichever is apt) on left hand side of software but not the hard drive on right side. Why so? i need to install smartware s/w as my friend had gave me which i suppose had deleted the software. please help me thanks

    I am trying to get a Antivirus server for my Virtual Private Server that has Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 1.5 GB RAM and 40 GB HD. I see people have suggested for NOD32 or Kaspersky but they are not offering Internet security for one server in business edition (it starts with at least 5 PC) and they says I can't install home edition on my VPS as this is for business purpose. Is there any good antivirus/internet security program that I can buy for my single VPS? Any suggestion will help me. Thanks
