  I'm looking at creating a time table solution. I have a task sheet that looks like Area 1 item 1 startTime endTime Area 1 item1 startTime endTime I wish to create a display where I can view what even is happening next, either endTime or startTime i.e. Newcastle reel 16:45 18:45 Newcastle reel2 17:45 19:45 would output Newcastle reel 16:45 Newcastle reel 17:45 Newcastle reel 18:45 Newcastle reel 19:45 More so, I would like to detect if the time is a startTime or an endTime would I have to enter two rows for each activity (time,area,item, start|end). I can make the interface to the creation of two rows. I just wondered if there was a better solution. Any input is appreciated, Thanks, Jamie

Example: If I do a call to ItemLookup with an ASIN of 0590353403 (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone), I'm looking for a result set of perhaps the top ten new or used Marketplace listings, preferably with seller information attached. I apologize if this is clearly documented somewhere, but I have been looking all through the Amazon API docs and on Google to no avail.   I am essentially building a timer. I have a python script that monitors for an event and then prints out the seconds that have elapsed since that event. Instead of an ugly stream of numbers printed to the command line, I would like to display only the current elapsed time "in-place"-- so that only one number is visible at any given time. Is there a simple way to do this? If possible I'd like to use built-in python modules. I'm on Windows, so simpler the better. (E.g. no X11).

  Here is a contrived example of an xml document. In my real world case, the xml is fairly complex with multiple nested levels. <alphabet> <a>A</a> <b>B</b> <c>C</c> ... and so on </alphabet> Using xslt, I want to transform the document so that only the vowels are printed. In my real world case, we're using empty template match tags to block the display. But that's too verbose for my liking.

• how can I get jquery.sIFR plugin to display sIFR-alternate text for print?

  I'm struggling with this. I've used the jquery sIFR plugin as opposed to sIFR it prevented conflicts with other jquery I am using on my pages. It works fine in its prime function: replacing html text with Flash. However, the .sIFR-alternate class is given an inline style of 'opacity: 0' which persists when flashblock is on. So alternate text does not appear. Neither does it appear when printng the page (yes I have included styles for sIFR-print). I've tried replacing the opacity:0 inline style with display: none but this causes height issues with the output flash. Any one else had this or have any ideas?

  In my relatively short time learning OpenCL I frequently see my application cause the operating system UI to become significantly less responsive (several seconds for a window to respond to a drag for example). I have encountered this problem on Windows Vista and Mac OS X both with NVidia GPUs. What can I do when using OpenCL on the same GPU as the display to ensure that my application does not significantly degrade the UI responsiveness like this? Also, can this be done without taking needless performance losses within my application? (Ie, if the user is not doing some UI intensive task then I would not expect my application to run any slower than it does now.) I understand that any answers will be very platform specific (where platform includes OS/GPU/driver combo).

  I'm quite new to QT and I have to display a list of "panels" like this: My datamodel handles different classes' instances, so having more than one panel layout would be great - but it's not a requirement. Btw I have to catch mouse clicks on the images to execute related actions. I'm thinking about use some html capable widget (QWebPage?) to render the items in a QListView or QListWidget, but as I said, I don't know QTs so much and need a direction (delegates? stylesheets?). Alternative on the above, if 1 returns a 404: 2. Generate HTML which display an error message to the user. Only step 3 is left as I've completed 1-2. As there are logic for handling the two execution paths and performing the XSLT-transformation I thought it would be suitable to keep it in the code-behind file.   While debugging jQuery apps that use AJAX, I often have the need to see the json that is being returned by the service to the browser. So I'll drop the URL for the JSON data into the address bar. This is nice with ASPNET because in the event of a coding error, I Can see the ASPNET diagostic in the browser: But when the server-side code works correctly and actually returns JSON, IE prompts me to download it, so I can't see the response. Can I get IE to NOT do that, in other words, to just display it as if it were plain text? I know I could do this if I set the Content-Type header to be text/plain. But this is specifically an the context of an ASPNET MVC app, which sets the response automagically when I use JsonResult on one of my action methods. Also I kinda want to keep the appropriate content-type, and not change it just to support debugging efforts.

I tried what was on the php.net manual and did this: preg_match($pattern, $fread, $matches); then when I echoed $matches I got "Array" message. So I tried a foreach loop and when that didn't display anything I tried $matches[0] and that too outputted nothing. So how does one go about displaying the matches found?

Even a line number would be more helpful, since this is run in automated manner and I'd like to be able to spot the failing assert without debugging into the code.
