• [Android] Text inserted in the edittext is overwritten

  Hello.. I'm a beginner and am making a calculator (fairly easy), but it's happening the following problem: When Cline in "1" button for example, he enters this number in the EditText, but if you click again the number is overwritten instead of the inserted his side as desired. How do the numbers were placed side by side without overwriting those already there? Note: The layout of buttons and etc. I did in. XML, so I'm not using the keyboard native Android. Thanks!

• Python text file processing speed issues

  Hi all, I'm having a problem with processing a largeish file in Python. All I'm doing is f = gzip.open(pathToLog, 'r') for line in f: counter = counter + 1 if (counter % 1000000 == 0): print counter f.close This takes around 10m25s just to open the file, read the lines and increment this counter. In perl, dealing with the same file and doing quite a bit more (some regular expression stuff), the whole process takes around 1m17s. Perl Code: open(LOG, "/bin/zcat $logfile |") or die "Cannot read $logfile: $!\n"; while (<LOG>) { if (m/.*\[svc-\w+\].*login result: Successful\.$/) { $_ =~ s/some regex here/$1,$2,$3,$4/; push @an_array, $_ } } close LOG; Can anyone advise what I can do to make the Python solution run at a similar speed to the Perl solution? I've tried just uncompressing the file and dealing with it using open instead of gzip.open, but that made a very small difference to the overall time.

  I am dynamically creating a report, where I create a worksheet, bring in the records afresh. How can I easily type the field names and copy them to the cells. Without doing one cell per line, there are ~20 columns.   I am trying to create a generic stylesheet that can convert all Latin characters in Unicode to uppercase ASCII characters. Using <xsl:character-map> works well except for one thing: namespaces. The character map converts all of my namespaces to upper case, which I do not want. Is there a way to utilize a character map to do what I want to all the other nodes while leaving the namespaces untouched? I see the disable-output-escaping attribute might be an option, but I haven't been able to make it work.

  I have a string that has several date values in it, and I want to parse them all out. The string is natural language, so the best thing I've found so far is dateutil. It seemed to work the first time but not the second. Any thoughts? I would also like some feedback on my implementation of this problem. Is there a better way? Anything to help out a novice! :)

  I'm wondering if anyone knows how to accomplish the following: Let's say I have a bunch of data stored in SQL, lets say one of the fields could be called funcName, function name would contain data similar to "myFunction" What I'm wondering is, is there a way I can than in turn extract the function name and actually call that function? There's a few ways I can think of to accomplish this, one is changing funcName to funcId and linking up with an array or similar, but I'm looking for something a bit more dynamic that would allow me to add the data on fly without having to update the actual source code every time I add a call to a new function assuming of course that the function already exists and is accessible via scope location we call it from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is easy, however our problem is that a user could essentially add a <b> tag some where and then not close it resulting in all of the comments thereafter and the rest of that page being bolded.   So, thanks for all the help guys, I am just have one last problem, I am putting the website source in a char var, and then reading the product title (I have gotten that), however it only works if I take part of the source, or only the html from one of the featured products on neweggs page. I think the program is crashing, because it doesnt know which title to pick when I need to get all three titles and put them into an array. Any ideas? Thanks.
