    My main process(main.exe) initilaized COM library and created a thread which creates a new process(p1.exe) this new process is again initializing COM library and after making all references as zero unintialized COM here.. the unintailezed COM in the main process (i.e main.exe) also.... When i run p1.exe individually it is successful.. but it is crashing when i create a process for p1.exe from main.exe

    Hello. We use custom type to represent Identifiers in our project. It has TypeConvertor attached and it always helped with serialization. I've tried to use WCF Data Services to expose some data from our system, but faced a problem. Astoria framework do not recognize class as an entity even though I've decorated it with [DataServiceKey("Id")] attribute. If I change type of property to Guid - it totally works :(. How could teach WCF Data Services to understand this simple class?

    The eager loading on Ruby on Rails is not working properly for the following scenario. First we had a model called marks which has the following fields id, student, subject, mark the student is a string column which has the active directory login value, later on for reporting functionality we introduce another table called user which has the following fields id, ad_name, full_name Now on the Mark model, we have added the belongs to class belongs_to :student_details, :class_name = "User", :foreign_key = "student", :primary_key = "ad_name" and when loading using the ActiveRecord's find method we are passing in the include conditon for eager loading Marks.find(:all, :include = :reserved_user) but when the find is executed, for each and every mark a student select query executed. Is this a known bug in ROR? or am i missing something?

  • Naming convention for the primary key in a Table

    Hi all, I am learning the Model relationship types in cakephp. I have built twotables and in one of the Table A, I got these fields in it: Table A {postID, topic, content} Table B {replyID, content, postID} And when I ran the web page, a bunch of error related to SQL popped up saying that cakephp couldn't find post_id. It is weird that I have already declared the $primaryKey to be using postID in the tableA.php under Models folder, but cakephp seemed want me to change the ID field to post_id instead of postID, because the error disappeared after I have changed the primaryKey to post_id. ANy ideas?

ID (integer with auto-increment) Name (varchar) The text file is a large collection of names with one name per line ... (example) John Doe Alex Smith Bob Denver I know how to import a text file via phpMyAdmin however, as far as I understand, I need to import data that has the same number of fields as the target table. Is there a way to import the data from my text file into one field and have the ID field auto-increment automatically? Thank you in advance for any help.

    I still see advice about using the LPTSTR/TCHAR types, etc., instead of LPWSTR/WCHAR. I believe the Unicode stuff was well introduced at Win2k, and I frankly don't write code for Windows 98 anymore. (Excepting special cases, of course.) Given that I don't care about Windows 98 (or, even less, ME) as they're decade old OS, is there any reason to use the compatibility TCHAR, etc. types? Why still advise people to use TCHAR - what benefit does it add over using WCHAR directly?

  • ::LookupAccountSid API Extremely Slow When Targetting x64 Platform (Windows 7)

    During our application startup, we are making a call to ::LookupAccountSid(). When I build targetting the x86 architecture, this call is nearly instantaneous. However, when I target x64 (debug or release), the call generally takes over 40s to complete. Since this is occurring during application startup, the result is fairly unpleasant as it will appear to the user that the application is not launching. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on a Dell Studio XPS 16 (Intel Core i7 Q 720). Our application is a native Windows application written in C++. I have this first code: phonebook = {} phonebook ['ana'] = '12345' phonebook ['maria']= '23456' , '[email protected]' def add_contact(): name = raw_input ("Please enter a name:") number = raw_input ("Please enter a number:") phonebook[name] = number Then I wanted to add an email to the name "ana" for example: ana: 12345, [email protected]. I created this code but instead of addend a new value (the email), it just changes the old one, removing the number: def add_email(): name = raw_input("Please enter a name:") email = raw_input("Please enter an email:") phonebook[name] = email I tried .append() too but it didn't work. Can you help me? And I'm sorry if the code is bad, I'm just trying to learn and I'm a bit noob yet :)

Using the ProjectService.getVersions method we can get an Array of RemoteVersion objects but these RemoteVersion objects do not contain the description field. http://docs.atlassian.com/rpc-jira-plugin/latest/com/atlassian/jira/rpc/soap/service/ProjectService.html#getVersions(com.opensymphony.user.User, java.lang.String) Will I have to expose my own web web service via a Jira plugin to get this?

    Hi, I have an iPhone app accessing an ASP.NET Webservice for data. Since I'm building both the ASP.NET end and the iPhone part of the app, and we'll shortly be publishing it in the Appstore, I'd like to know what security checks I need to make. The basic flow of the program (without divulging too much info about it) is as follows - . Login (Enter Username, pass on the app) . Primary screen where the data is loaded from a webservice and presented . And post data back after a few updates by the user I'm using POST to send the data to the Webservice via HTTPS. I'm sanitizing the inputs, checking for length of the inputs, but that's the limit of my knowledge as far as security goes. Any other tips are greatly appreciated! Edit: I should probably add that our service needs to be subscribed to separately and the iPhone component of it cannot be used alone. So the average user will not have login credentials. And the app itself has healthcare data in it, so I'd rather not have anyone trying attacks from my login page. Thanks, Teja.
