How to Have a Bundled Configurable Product in Magento ??

Hi everybody, I've been searching about this topic on Magento forum and Google but can't find a definite answer for the question. Hope I find it here. Is it possible to have a bundled configurable products in Magento? Take for example I want to sell a set of t-shirt and short on a product page where the customer can choose the number of quantity, the color and the size for the t-shirt and short respectively. Maybe like this : T-Shirt [A configurable Product] Color : [combobox to select color] Size : [combobox to select Size] Qty : [input to enter the qty] Short [Another configurable Product] Color : [combobox to select color] Size : [combobox to select Size] Qty : [input to enter the qty] [Add to Cart Button] Any help and answer will be much appreciated. WSAT Security tab error for Custom Role provider

I have created custome Membership Role and Profile provider using INGRES db. Now I can see my IngresMembership and IngresRole provider in the Provider tab(Select a different provider for each feature (advanced) ) of WSAT but when I clik on security tab I get this error: "There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store. The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." What am I missing? Do I need to add code for all override methods for Role provider? I have just written code for the Initialize and GetRolesForUser functions. Thanks

I have been doing work in JOOMLA, MAGENTO, WP, Custom PHP, Opencart, laravel, codeignitor. Sometimes i need to design logic for a huge database application, in the applications we need nesting loops and queries, although i follow OOPS standards, ORM etc, still i feel i need more robust coding designs. I need to know how can i improve these things, so that code remain neat, efficient and faster. Also how big webapps like facebook twitter tests there code speed? How high level programmers choose design patterns. If you can help me find something useful with examples?

I am working on setting up CI for my iOS application and I am facing some issues. Where is a good place to find documents on Bot? I have seen the Xcode help but cant find any good example, also watched the CI video from 2013 conference How do i create a custom trigger script, so every time a developer commits their code it will automatically trigger the bot. How do I merge the code to master only if Test successfully passes the bot? Operating System Widget Side Project

I want to start on a side project and here's my idea: Whenever the user's mouse is pressed down, I want a small ring around the cursor to show up. I'm mainly doing this to learn more about programming and get myself to think outside of work related materials. Does any Version Control System like SVN, Git, or Mercurial let you "keep latest version" but not th

In our project files, if there are binary files, such as .doc, .xls, .jpg, and we choose to not keep their past revisions (just keeping a latest version is ok), is there a way to tell SVN, Git, or Mercurial or some other tool to skip the revisions for these files or for a particular folder? Say, there is a 4MB .doc file that I need to check in hundred of times, but I don't really care so much about its past versions. So if the system keeps 100 revisions of it, that's already 400MB... checking in 300 times means 1.2GB for 1 file and that's not good. Only the latest version is good so that everybody can sync to it.

TFS: How do I view .cs files in the VS IDE when viewing details of a shelveset?

For our code review process we open the details of a shelveset to see all files that have been worked on. Right clicking and choosing "Compare" works great for existing ( modified ) files. But, when a file has been added I just want to view the file. Double clicking ( or right click - view ) opens .cs ( and .sql )files in notepad. When I try to open a .PRC file ( extension for our stored procedures ) I get a prompt that allows me to choose what program to use for viewing. Does anyone know how to get this prompt to show up for .cs files ( and all other files, for that matter ) Thanks! How do I change my current directory from a python script?

I'm trying to implement my own version of the 'cd' command that presents the user with a list of hard-coded directories to choose from, and the user has to enter a number corresponding to an entry in the list. The program, named my_cd.py for now, should then effectively 'cd' the user to the chosen directory. Example of how this should work: /some/directory $ my_cd.py 1) ~ 2) /bin/ 3) /usr Enter menu selection, or q to quit: 2 /bin $ Currently, I'm trying to 'cd' using os.chdir('dir'). However, this doesn't work, probably because my_cd.py is kicked off in its own child process. I tried wrapping the call to my_cd.py in a sourced bash script named my_cd.sh: #! /bin/bash function my_cd() { /path/to/my_cd.py } /some/directory $ . my_cd.sh $ my_cd ... shows list of dirs, but doesn't 'cd' in the interactive shell Any ideas on how I can get this to work? Xwiki Create virtual wiki - problem adding a class

Hi, I'm trying to create a virtual wiki but I already struggle with In your Class Editor, create a new class called "XWikiServerClass" Further reading in the DevGuide / DataModel shows that I'm not alone. I understand the words saying but I don't get the how-to as there is no option in the class-editior of creating new classes. Navigating to class editor shows an info box No class is defined in this wiki document. You can create one by adding properties from the panel on your right, or you can choose another class to edit from the list below. Ok, I added 'XWikiServerClass' and would have expected to be able to add a type class but that's not possible. I've tried a few properties but nothing shows up as a class in class editor.

How to make an application scriptable in Linux

I've written an application in C++ that takes a complex binary file format and translates it into human-readable text. Having edited the text you can recompile it back into the binary file format. This would be more useful if the application's internal object model was scriptable. On Windows I'd expose the objects using COM or .Net but I want this to work on Linux. I could embed a scripting language but that's a fair bit of work, and limits users to the scripting language I choose. Ideally, I'm looking for some way of exposing a scriptable DOM from my application that is: Widely support in scripting languages (without writing language-specific wrappers) Cross-platform (but Linux support is most important) In-process (but this isn't essential)

Hi, Does anyone know how to retrieve and display data from database using combo list? What I mean is this..I have a form..in the form there is a combo list and two textfiels..the user need to choose their company using that combo list..once they have chose their company, the address and contact number of the company will be display in the next two textfields called CAddress and CContact..for example, if the user chose company ABC..how can I display the company ABC address and contact number in those textfields? Why do I need to give my options a value attribute in my dropdown? JQuery.

So far in my web developing experiences, I've noticed that almost all web developers/designers choose to give their options in a select a value like so: <select name="foo"> <option value="bar">BarCheese</option> // etc. // etc. </select> Is this because it is best practice to do so? I ask this because I have done a lot of work with jQuery and dropdown's lately, and sometimes I get really annoyed when I have to check something like: $('select[name=foo]').val() == "bar"); To me, many times that seems less clear than just being able to check the val() against BarCheese. So why is it that most web developers/designers specify a value paramater instead of just letting the options actual value be its value?

the breakpoint will not currently be hit no symbols loaded

I want to debug on the customer's machine (Windows Server 2003) to track a problem, and out product is based on .NET 2.0. I want to use DbgCLR.exe to debug a file AAA.dll, what I did is: install .NET 2.0 SDK on the customer's machine (to get the DbgCLR.exe) copy the symbol file AAA.pdb to the same directory with AAA.dll get the source file for AAA.dll the AAA.dll will be loaded by w3wp.exe, so in the DbgCLR Tools-Attach to Process, then I choose w3wp.exe File-Open-File open the source file and add a breakpoint in the function which will be callled but the breakpoint seems do no work because there is an warning icon on it and says : the breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document. On my computer (Windows XP) which has the debug version of whole source code, I did nearly the same thing as above but the different is: I attached aspnet_wp.exe to do the debug and it works What should I do to let it work on the customer's machine?

How we run a .NET 32-bit application in a 64-bit Windows server?

We are installing a third party application in one of our 64-bit Windows servers. This application apparently was build with the compiler option set to choose the platform at run time. When we run the application it gives us an error: System.BadImageFormatException: is not a valid Win32 application. I have seen in MSDN forums that in order to fix this error I have to build the application set to 32-bit, and that way it will run fine on a 64-bit server. I check on other StackOverflow links Other Posts. How to get around this situation? For everyone that wants to know more information: The application is running fine in a 32-bit test server. IIS version 6 using SQL Server Express 2005 On the Web Service Extension there are both Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll and Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll

opening iWorks documents in iPad UIWebView

Hello, I'm writing an iPad application that has a UIWebView which I open word and excel documents in, but I want the user to be able to import those documents into the iWorks applications, Pages and Numbers, just like how you can do it in Safari if you open a document. If you open a document in Safari on the iPad, there'll be a button on the top bar that says "Open in..." and you can choose applications to open in. You get the top bar to appear by tapping on middle of the page. So is there an option you can set to allow UIWebView to show up the bar and automatically detect the content type and populate the list with applications you can import in? Or do I have to build this myself? And if I have to build my own, how do I open URLs to import documents into Pages and Numbers etc? Thanks, -David

Scenario: I'm working on a rails app that will take data entry in the form of uploaded text-based files. I need to parse these files before importing the data. I can choose the file type uploaded to the app; the software used by those uploading has several export options regarding file type. While it may be insignificant, I was wondering if there is a specific file type that is most efficiently parsed. This question can be viewed as language-independent, I believe. (While XML is commonly parsed, it is not a feasible file type for sake of this project.)

I have a web app and I need to integrate some JasperReports in this app. So I downloaded iReport and I used the templates. I choose the LeafGreen template, but I have a problem. When I have more than 4 elemets in my list, my headers gets repeated every 4 elements (see the image:) - I don't want this; once is enough. I have several 'select' elements on the page. When I choose some of options, the ajax request is being sent to server and the element adjacent to this 'select' must be updated with response value. I expected the following code to be working: $(".vars").live("change", function() { //selected something in <select> list $.ajax({ type: "POST", url "someurl.php", data: {somedata}, success: function(html) { $this.next().html(html); //this does not update .next() element. } }); }); If I replace $(this).next().html(html); with alert(html); I can see the ajax request was successful. Moreover, it works only if there is only one 'select' on the page, otherwise the empty pop-up appears.

Creating a db driven primary navigation in django?

I find that it's pretty common most people hardcode the navigation into their templates, but I'm dealing with a pretty dynamic news site which might be better off if the primary nav was db driven. So I was thinking of having a Navigation model where each row would be a link. link_id INT primary key link_name varchar(255) url varchar(255) order INT active boolean If anyone's done something similar in the past, would you say this sort of schema is good enough? I also wanted for there to be an optional dropdown in the admin near the url field so that a user could choose a Category model's slug since category links would be common, but I'm not quite sure how that would be possible.

what \bin to add to system Path env var from a jdk

If you install the latest java 1.6 jdk, without installing the public jre option, you end up having two \bin dirs with java.exe: %JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin %JAVA_HOME%\bin if you compare those dirs, there are a few files that are identical (java.exe etc), and a bunch that are either in one or the other. So far I used to add %JAVA_HOME%\bin to my Path environment var, but now I am wondering, does it make a difference? Is there any side effect to choose one or the other? And would not be much cleaner if the installation had only one java.exe and \bin folder?

"Cannot use fixed local inside lambda expression"

I have an XNA 3.0 project that compiled just fine in VS2008, but that gives compile errors in VS2010 (with XNA 4.0 CTP). The error: Cannot use fixed local 'depthPtr' inside an anonymous method, lambda expression, or query expression depthPtr is a fixed float* into an array, that is used inside a Parallel.For lambda expression from System.Threading. As I said, this compiled and ran just fine on VS2008, but it does not on VS2010, even when targeting .NET 3.5. Has this changed in .NET 4.0, and even so, shouldn't it still compile when I choose .NET 3.5 as the target framework? Searching for the term "Cannot use fixed local" yields exactly one (useless) result, both in Google and Bing. If this has changed, what is the reason for this? I can imagine capturing a fixed pointer-type in a closure could get a bit weird, is that why? So I'm guessing this is bad practice? And before anyone asks: no, the use of pointers is not absolutely critical here. I would still like to know though :)
