    I need to create a user scripts in xcode where I can sort a selection of multiple lines, by their length (number of characters) I know of this macro variable PBXTextLength, but not sure how to write the script. this is the sort selection script in Xcode: echo -n "%%%{PBXSelection}%%%" sort <&0 echo -n "%%%{PBXSelection}%%%" how can i modify that script to sort the selection by the length of the line (PBXTextLength)? thanks

  • 32-Bit Compiling in XCode

    I was trying to get SDL to work on my mac but kept running into mysterious errors. After some googling, I realized that my issue was that SDL compiled in 32 bits, or was 32 bits, or something, and XCode was compiling my program in 64 bits. There were some solutions, as well, but all were very technical or required arcane knowledge which my novice brain did not comprehend. So, how can I either get a version of SDL that will work with a 64 bit compiler, or tell XCode to compile in 32 bits?

Its showing XCode with these templates for Mac OS --Application --Audio Units --Automater actions --Bundles --Command Line Utility --dynamic library --Framework --Java --Kernal Extensions --Standard Apple plugin --Static Library --Other I need the Command Line Utility template so that can create sample projects mentioned in book.

  • Using pragma once in a C++ project in Xcode 4

    I know that #pragma once is non-standard, however it is supported by most compilers. So on my Mac I can compile C++ code with headers that use #pragma once on the command line using clang++. The strange thing however is that it does not seem to work within Xcode. I get Invalid preprocessing directive when I try to use #pragma once. I am using the newest version of OSX (10.8.2) and Xcode (Version 4.5.1 (4G1004)).

    I was unable to find any solution of my specific issue. I'm using Xcode 3.2. I'd like to indent the next line of function argument just one step in from the previous line: somevariable = pow( a, b); However, Xcode's syntax-aware indenting insists on converting the above into: somevariable = pow( a, b); Where the arguments are aligned with opening parenthesis of the function. How can I make indenting be configured to match my preference?

    How to make the autocompletion feature return the current suggestion (from "completion list") in full? That is, how not to jump only to the next CamelCase with TAB ... but instead have, say, CTRL + TAB choose the suggestion immediately/in full? Example Having CGPDFStringGetLength selected in the "completion list", one would have to press TAB four (4) times! first TAB get to CGPDF then to CGPDFString then to CGPDFStringGet then to CGPDFStringGetLength It would be nice to have CTRL + TAB (for example) make the above a one-step process.

We have some tool that uses SVNKit, and we'd like to continue use it, but want to be able to work on mercurial repository. Hence we want to completely convert mercurial repo to svn repo. Is that something that's possible? (and how?)

    I'm having a problem with svn, where running 'svn up' produces the following error: svn: Unexpected end of svndiff input Ironically, running 'svnadmin verify repository_path' also returns the same error. It happens on existing working copies and brand new working copies too. Anybody had and solved this problem before? We've been using svn for a number of years and know our way around pretty well, but this one has us stumped!

    I have set up a Linux Server and installed Apache and SVN and dav_svn on it. Now, when I try to upload to https://x.x.x.x:x/svn/repo with Tortoise SVN I get Can't open file '/server/svn/repo/db/txn-current-lock': Permission denied I have Set up my SSL correctly (I can checkout, no problems, even remotely due to Port Forwarding). I'm guessing this has to do with the Linux Ownership of the Repository folders, How must I set this/ what are the commands? I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 Server + Apache2.

    After cloning an SVN repository using git-svn with the -s option (git svn clone http://server/repo -s), how does one create a branch or tag and have pushed to the relevant branch/tag directory in the repository when dcommiting? For instance; if I were to use git to create a foobar branch locally (git checkout -b foobar) how can I have git-svn create the branch on the server (http://server/repo/branches/foobar)?

    Hi, I had downloaded and installed the 1.6.9 version of SVN from http://subversion.tigris.org/. After the installation I noticed that if I launch the command "svn" from the terminal, my Mac still uses the old version, the 1.4.4. If i want to use the new version, I need to specify its path, like this: - /opt/subversion/bin/svn commit instead of: - svn commit There is a way to solve this problem and use the new version of the command without typing the entire path? It ignores the new files because they are marked as copies of the branch. So when it diffs them against the head of the branch, no differences are found. How do I force svn diff to pick up these changes?

    Hi, I use TortoiseSVN on WindowsXP and ran into an issue inside repository browser today. Basically, I can browser/checkout fine at application level "https://domain/svn/app1". However, When I try to browse at the root level of the repository "https://domain/svn/", the following error msg displays: OPTIONS of 'https://domain/svn': 200 OK I try to access https://domain/svn in a web browser, I can see all the applications there.     Hi all, I was wondering if there is a way to save my svn password when doing svn operations from the console. The console is the only option that I have.     Accidentally I have created file "-" (just a minus) in a directory and commited it. I have to delete it because its causing error on other machines: svn: Can't convert string from 'UTF-8' to native encoding: svn: ?\226?\128?\147 I can remove it from local directory using "rm -i *" or with python "os.remove('\xe2\x80\x93')" but those methods do not work with "svn rm". How to delete such file from svn repository?
