• Read video information(date created)?

  In window, i can get the date created of the video from properties(right click). I have a few idea on this but i dont know how to do it. 1. Get the video information directly from video(like in windows), 2. By extracting the video name to get the date created(The video's name is in date format, which is the time it created). And i also using taglib-sharp to get the video duration and resolution, but i cant find any sample code on how to get the video creation date. Note: video name in date format - example, 20121119_125550.avi Edit Found this code and so far its working string fileName = Server.MapPath("//video//20121119_125550.avi"); FileInfo fileInfo = new FileInfo(fileName); DateTime creationTime = fileInfo.CreationTime; Output: 2012/11/19 12:55:50 For the file's name, i will add another string in name. For example User1-20121119_125550.avi.avi, so it will get complicated after that.

• jquery Troubles with binding to an element by id

• Perl - Choose interface to connect through

  I have 2 interfaces on my server, eth0 and eth0:0. Those are 2 different external ips and obviously 2 different reverse domains. When i open a IO::Socket::INET Perl uses the eth0 interface by default. I would like to use the second interface (eth0:0) because this has a different ip and i dont want to use my main ip/domain. I have absolutely no idea how to select which interface to connect through. Code i use to open a socket: my $sock = new IO::Socket::INET(PeerAddr => $server, PeerPort => $serverPort, Proto => 'tcp') or die "Can't connect to server: $!";

Based on what I read, seems like I should use "void" as the return type for handler methods.   I am trying to get the output of android shell command 'getprop' with java since getprop() always returns null no matter what.   Hi, I want to implement pagination using JDBC. The actual thing I want to know is "How can i get first 50 and then next 50 records from database for page 1 and 2 respectively" My Query is Select * from data [data table contains 20,000 rows] For page #1 I get 50 records and for page #2 I want to get next 50 records. How can I implement it efficiently in JDBC? I have searched and found that rs.absolute(row) is the way to skip first page records but it takes some amount of time on large result sets and I don't want to bear this amount of time. Also, I don't want to use rownum and limit + offset in query because these are not good to use in query, I dont know why, still I don't want to use it in query. Can anyone help me how to get limited ResultSet for pagination or is there any way JDBC is giving us?

  Howdy, I need to be able to print from my wpf application. I am just trying to print a transaction receipt. I have found that using PrintDialog pDialog = new PrintDialog(); pDialog.PrintVisual(new Receipt("transaction name","my store"), "documentTitle"); Does the trick very nicely. "Receipt() is a usercontrol that renders out the transaction details. How are you meant to do this? is this the correct way? what do I do if I dont know the printer that is going to be used? should I make the usercontrol only as wide as a thermal receipt printer? Any suggestions would be great!

  I have a table, MapLocation, which has a column and two relationships with tables that have a field that really need to be displayed as a single concatenated value. I was thinking this was a perfect case for a computed column, but not sure how to go about it. Or is this more of a function/trigger? Its possible, I certainly barely know what I'm doing. The idea is that I dont want to have to do two more server calls and concatenate these values client side.

  I have a MYSQL table that looks as follows: id id_jugador id_partido team1 team2 1 2 1 5 2 2 2 2 1 1 3 1 2 0 0 I need to create a query to either INSERT new rows in the table or UPDATE the table. The condition is based on id_jugador and id_partido, meaning that if I wanted to insert id_jugador = 2 and id_partido = 1, then it should just UPDATE the existing row with the new team1 and team2 values I am sending. And dont duplicate the row. However, if I have an entry id_jugador=2 and id_partido=3, since this combination does not exist yet, it should add the new row. I read about the REPLACE INTO but it seems to be unable to check combination of UNIQUE KEYS.

  I have a standard jquery ui accordion and I load content into it using a link_to_remote tag (in the accordion header). All this works fine. The problem is, once the content is loaded, I dont want a ajax call, I just want the accordion to fold, like it should normally do. • Customizing Document library web part

  Hi, I am developing a website in Sharepoint 2007. I came across a bit tricky problem. I have a document library web part in a web part page. I am using the summary toolbar view. I dont want users to add new documents on first screeen where it shows folders. I want them to open the folders and add documents there. I cannot do a No toolbar view because it will remove the link from every subsequent page. Has anyone implemented something like this. Please help.

  I'm trying to create a method that will sum two timeO objects and return a new TimeO object called sum. Here is the relevant code snippet: public static TimeO add (TimeO t1, TimeO t2) { TimeO sum = new TimeO ; ... } When i try to compile it i get this error message: TimeO.java:15: '(' or '[' expected TimeO sum = new TimeO ; ^ 1 error i cant think of any reason why it would want me to open a set of parenthasies or brackets here but its possible that i dont' quite understand the syntax. Whats going wrong here?

  HI. I have multiple webpages. So I have a common external js file. And I have added this js file to every page. I have multiple check boxes in every page. And I have written the click event in the external, common js file. But I wonder how the js file should be? Currently I have written like this. $(document).ready(function() { $(".chk").click(function() { alert("hi"); }); }); But whenever I click a checkbox the click event is fired twice. it should be once. I dont know where is the error, is there any error in writing the js file? please comment.

Can I use a HTML/JS/CSS - C# combination with event handlers and all? Something like ASP.NET Webforms/MVC . I know it is not the same client server architecture, but since metro styled apps support HTML/JS, I was wondering. I can use Win-JS. But can I rather write C# than Javascript, and use HTML rather than XAML?(I dont know XAML and I like C#) All the C# samples I found online use XAML.

• Purpose of front() and back() in assigning values in a Queue? (C++)

  I have declared: queue<int, list<int> > Q After a series of calls: Q.push(37); Q.pop(); Q.push(19); Q.push(3); Q.push(13); Q.front(); Q.push(22); Q.push(8); Q.back(); I get: 19-3-13-22-8-NULL What I don't get is what the calls to Q.front() and Q.back() do. From what I understand, they return a reference to the first or last elements respectively, but I dont see how my list would be any different had those calls not been made. Do they have any effect? Sorry if this seems trivial, but I'm trying to figure out of those calls have a purpose, or of my professor is just trying to screw with me.

  I'm not a unix guy. CPanel does a good job of managing cronjobs and that is what I used to run dozens of cronjobs. All of them combined run more than 5000 times every day. Every cron makes a call to an external API. How can I check how much bandwidth are all the cron jobs eating? For my website I use awstats and that shows bandwidth usage et al. Another thing is that I dont want the admins to ban the cron jobs because they are using too much bandwidth (and CPU), more than what is allocated in my web hosting package.

• In java web application, where should i store users photos?

  Hello, this questions may be stupid, but i dont really see how to resolve it : lest say that in my application, i have a user. This user edit his profile, and need to edit his avatar. Where should i store the avatar file? first of all i was saving all the files in src\main\webapp\resources , but each time i redeploy that folder empties. so i dedide to place in an other location : c:\wwwdir\resources, but i can't link local resources from remote pages, so i was not able to display any avatar . any idea? advise? link?

  I'm trying to make like a skype-instant messager, my idea for it is to have one server which handles multiple connections for the clients. What I now have is a friend list etc, but now I want to create Threads both for server and client to handle a conversation. The problem is that I need multiple connections between a server and one client for every conversation(I think). but i dont think it's possible. Does someone have another way for doing this or maybe a way to make multiple connections between the server and a client? ( I'm trying to ensure that AUTO_INCREMENT keys dont collide between an old and a new site and need to do this automatically. So I can just run a script when the new db goes live )

• C++: How to make comparison function for char arrays?

  Is this possible? i get weird error message when i put char as the type: inline bool operator==(const char *str1, const char *str2){ // ... } Error message: error C2803: 'operator ==' must have at least one formal parameter of class type ... which i dont understand at all. I was thinking if i could directly compare stuff like: const char *str1 = "something"; const char *str2 = "something else"; const char str3[] = "lol"; // not sure if this is same as above and then compare: if(str1 == str2){ // ... } etc. But i also want it to work with: char *str = new char[100]; and: char *str = (char *)malloc(100); I am assuming every char array i use this way would end in NULL character, so the checking should be possible, but i understand it can be unsafe etc. I just want to know if this is possible to do, and how.
