  • Focusing a textarea

    - by Hulk
    Int he below code a textarea is added 6 times and initially the textarea conatins the text Enter Text. My question is, if the user enters data in first and third textareas. How to give alert to the user saying that the "textareas are empty" this is a general message but focus on the 2nd textarea and when the user enters data in 2nd the next textarea should be focused. <script> function ad_R(count) { //Adding and populating table row var row = '<tr>'; row += '<td>'; row += '<textarea rows = "8" cols = "18" border ="0" class="input" style="border:none;overflow:visible;width:100%;" id="details'+count+'" nfocus="if (this.value == \'Enter text\') this.value = \'\';" onblur="if (this.value == \'\') this.value = \'Enter text\';" name ="detail'+count+'" class="row_details'+r_count+'">Enter text</textarea></td></tr>'; } $(document).ready(function() { cnt += '<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="1" width="100%" id="_table">'; cnt += '<tr>'; cnt += '<th width="30%">Category</th>'; cnt += '</tr>'; for(var i=0;i<6;i++) { cnt += add_R(6); } cnt += '</table>'; });

  • Process RECEIVED email attatchment with PHP.

    - by Eli
    Hi All, I have a php script that will an catch email passed to it and process it. #!/usr/local/bin/php -q <?php while (!feof(STDIN)) {$s .= fgets(STDIN);} // Now do some work on the email source in $s. ?> This works fine. My question is how to save an attachment into the file system from the source. For example, if I isolate the section below, how do I need to process it before saving it into a gif file to create a valid gif? I assume I need to change the encoding, or otherwise process it, but does anyone know exactly? • How to install and use db4o for Android?

    - by Viet
    I have to admit that I'm new to Java and Android. db4o seems to be an excellent DB framework to replace SQLite http://developer.db4o.com/Platforms/Java/Android.aspx. I want to use it for my Android application. I don't know how to: Import/Install/Attach/Upload db4o to Android phone. Where should I put the JAR file db4o-7.12.132.14217-all-java5.jar so that it was uploaded to Android phone and it could be called from the application? Please kindly advise! Many thanks!!!

  • Custom header using PHP soap functions

    - by Dees
    Hi, I am having a problem getting a custom soap header to work with PHP5. Can anybody guide me please. What I require is something like this <SOAP-ENV:Header> <USER>myusername</USER> <PASSWORD>mypassword</PASSWORD> </SOAP-ENV:Header> What I get is : <SOAP-ENV:Header> <ns2:null> <USER>myusername</USER> <PASSWORD>mypassword</PASSWORD> </ns2:null> </SOAP-ENV:Header> I would like to remove the namespace tags. The code I use to get this is: class Authstuff { public $USER; public $PASSWORD; public function __construct($user, $pass) { $this->USER = $user; $this->PASSWORD = $pass; } } $auth = new Authstuff('myusername', 'mypassword'); $param = array('Authstuff' => $auth); $authvalues = new SoapVar($auth,SOAP_ENC_OBJECT); $header = new SoapHeader('http://soapinterop.org/echoheader/',"null",$authvalues);

  • PHP SoapClient: Problems with Distributed WSDL File

    - by Dave
    Hello, I have a problem using a distributed WSDL File ( scheme / other definitions are declared outside the actual wsdl) with php's SoapClient. This is the Fault Message I get: SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: 'getSomeInfo' already defined. After some googling , it seems to be a bug inside php as someone else discovered exactly the same problem: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=45282 Has there been any bug fix(es)? Any solution to work around this bug? PS: I think posting a code snippet is senseless, since the invocation of the SoapClient ctor using just the WSDL is the only that fails. Thank you in advance, Dave

  • How can we distribute a client app to other non-US businesses?

    - by Simon
    I'm working on an app which acts as a client for our web service. We sell this service to businesses, and we want to distribute the app to their employees for free. The app will be customised for each client. If we were in the US, my understanding is that we'd ask them to enrol in the volume purchasing program, and submit a version of our app for each business, for enterprise distribution at the free price point However, the businesses aren't all in the US, so they can't enrol in the VPP. They have thousands of employees, so promo codes won't be sufficient. What are our alternatives?

  • Issue with org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient listFiles()

    - by James P.
    The listFiles() method of org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient works fine with Filezilla server on 127.0.0.1 but returns null on the root directory of public FTP servers such as belnet.be. There is an identical question on the link below but enterRemotePassiveMode() doesn't seem to help. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2339855/apache-commons-ftpclient-listfiles Could it be an issue with list parsing? If so, how can go about solving this?

  • TFS Build Server Cannot find Assembly Reference

    - by Steve Syfuhs
    I looked at this post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/547468/assembly-references-wont-resolve-properly-on-our-build-server but it didn't help the issue. I am (extremely) new to TFS, and just installed 2010 on a VM. I imported a project and got everything working-ish. I went to create a new build through team explorer, and set it up to build on each check-in. It build's locally just fine, but when it's built on check-in it dies on a 3rd party assembly reference. The reference is not in the GAC, but part of the local references. There is only one 3rd party dll, and the projects only reference each other in the solution. I have a feeling I'm missing some important step with regards to TFS and references. Any ideas? EDIT: This a test installation...there is nothing else installed on this box, with the exception of SQL and IIS.

  • sorl-thumbnail unit tests fail by 1 pixel (!)

    - by stevejalim
    Hi I'm using sorl-thumbnail in a Django 1.2 (currently 1.2 RC) project and getting a surprising failure of four of sorl's built-in unit tests. Essentially, the resized images are all 1px shorter than the unit tests expect them to be. See below for details I'm developing on OSX 10.5.8 (not Snow Leopard) with Python 2.5.1 (r251:54863, Feb 6 2009, 19:02:12) and PIL 1.1.6. Any thoughts what might be up? • Easiest Java image processing solution

    - by Daniel Fath
    Here is the deal, in my Java project I have to make a composite document that combines both text and images; So I'm looking for a way to manipulate pictures (rotate, change size, that sort of thing). The API I'm looking for should be clear and easy to learn (preferably with some examples), it should cover the basic transformations I made above - rotate,change size, eventually crop.

Please see InnerException for more details. Please help me how to resolve this error.... If I use Netdatacontract attribute on Operation Contract, can i use DataContract and Datamember attribute on serializable class??? Thanks in advance...

  • can I override/redefine "global" Javascript functions, like confirm() and alert()?

    - by EndangeringSpecies
    I want to do some browser automation, and those pesky confirm/alert boxes are a real pain. Disabling javascript completely in this case is not an option, unfortunately. Well, so I was wondering, can I just change the definition of those methods as seen by my browser's javascript interpreter to basically do nothing and return true? Note that I do know about redefining them in the Javascript code directly, e.g. putting in function alert(message) { return true; } but AFAIK this is not a viable approach for this situation because when doing browser automation I have to work with other people's Javascript. Moreover, my program actually begins manipulating these websites already after the page has fully loaded into the browser, so I cannot just first automatically rewrite the javascript and then load the page. Well, so I was wondering if I could instead just "permanently" modify the way alert/confirm are implemented and executed in my browser. Sort of like the equivalent of dll injection and so forth in the realm of windows apps.

  • UpdatePanel Javascript Error on Adding Clientside Listbox items After postback

    - by DBMaster
    Hi, I have a Dynamic list control of Metabuilder.Webcontrol inside UpdatePanel,I am adding removing Items using Javascript from the list control. It works fine Inside UpdatePanel. I have another control Gridview along with checkbox's which require postback to get populated. Once It gets populated successfully inside update without postback. I checked few rows and wanted to add them into List Control using Javascript. It says "object doesn't support this property or method" function addItmList(idv,valItem) { var list =document.getElementById('ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_MyList'); //var generatedName = "newItem" + ( list.options.length + 1 ); list.Add(idv,valItem); } function checkitemvalues() { var gvET = document.getElementById("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_grd"); var target = document.getElementById('ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_lstIControl'); var newOption = window.document.createElement('OPTION'); var rCount = gvET.rows.length; var rowIdx = 0; var tcount = 1; for (rowIdx; rowIdx<=rCount-1; rowIdx++) { var rowElement = gvET.rows[rowIdx]; var chkBox = rowElement.cells[0].firstChild; var cod = rowElement.cells[1].innerText; var desc = rowElement.cells[2].innerText; if (chkBox.checked == true){ addItmList(rowElement.cells[1].innerText,rowElement.cells[2].innerText); } } } Code Behind ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock( Me.Page, Me.GetType(), MyList.ClientID, "" & vbCr & vbLf & "window.mylistid='" + MyList.ClientID + "';" & vbCr & vbLf & "", True ) Remember my code works fine. • Create a string with the result of an expression and the expression that originated the value. Is it

    - by Oscar Reyes
    Like String r = SomeThing.toExecString("new Object().toString()"); And when executed the value of r would be: "new Object().toString() = java.lang.Object@c5e3974" Is this even possible at all? Would it need a bunch of reflection? A built in compiler maybe? AFAIK, this is not possible with regular Java. The closest thing I could get is IDE support like in IDEA with the "macro" soutv+tab that prints: Hit taband type the expression The IDE types the rest for you. But that's quite another completely thing.

  • Client Side Form Validation vs. Server Side Form Validation

    In my opinion, it is mandatory to validate data using client side and server side validation as a fail over process. The client side validation allows users to correct any error before they are sent to the web server for processing, and this allows for an immediate response back to the user regarding data that is not correct or in the proper format that is desired. In addition, this prevents unnecessary interaction between the user and the web server and will free up the server over time compared to doing only server side validation. Server validation is the last line of defense when it comes to validation because you can check to ensure the user’s data is correct before it is used in a business process or stored to a database. Honestly, I cannot foresee a scenario where I would only want to use one form of validation over another especially with the current cost of creating and maintaining data. In my opinion, the redundant validation is well worth the overhead.

  • Are there any 3rd Party libraries for image processing in C#?

    - by Gaax
    Just wondering if there's anything out there to help make my project a lot easier to deal with. I'm working on a program that uses the Wiimote and infrared pen (mapped to the mouse) to manipulate images in real time and I'd much rather not have to use all my time figuring out how to make the program resize and rotate images efficiently with the least amount of distortion... I haven't really found anything when searching. Anybody know of any libraries that can help me?

  • Why do the overloads of String.Format exist?

    I was using Reflector to look at the implementation of String.Format and had always been under the impression that the overloads of String.Format that took 1, 2 & 3 arguments were optimized versions of the method that takes an object array. However, what I found was that internally they create an object array and then call a method that takes an object array. 1 arg public static string Format(string format, object arg0) { if (format == null) { throw new ArgumentNullException("format"); } return Format(null, format, new object[] { arg0 }); } 2 args public static string Format(string format, object arg0, object arg1) { if (format == null) { throw new ArgumentNullException("format"); } return Format(null, format, new object[] { arg0, arg1 }); } 3 args public static string Format(string format, object arg0, object arg1, object arg2) { if (format == null) { throw new ArgumentNullException("format"); } return Format(null, format, new object[] { arg0, arg1, arg2 }); } Object array public static string Format(string format, params object[] args) { if ((format == null) || (args == null)) { throw new ArgumentNullException((format == null) ? "format" : "args"); } return Format(null, format, args); } Internally they all end up using the same code and so using the 1, 2 & 3 argument versions are no faster than the object array version. So my question is - why do they exist? When you use the object array version with a comma separated list of values, the compiler automatically converts the arguments into an object array because of the params/ParamArray keyword which is essentially what the 1, 2 & 3 versions do, so they seem redundant. Why did the BCL designers add these overloads?

  • Libraries for developing NCPDP SCRIPT based systems (a standard for e-prescribing)

    - by Kaveh Shahbazian
    What are (based on experiences) best (commercial or open source) libraries for developing NCPDP-based systems? Background: NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) is a not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited, standards development organization. One of it's standards is the SCRIPT Standard for Electronic Prescribing, which allows PHARMACY, PRESCRIBER (i.e. Physician) and PAYERS (patient or more often insurer) communicate. So the SCRIPT standard is about data transmission. Problem: One step in implementing such systems is to develop models for data based on SCRIPT standard. These models should have utilities for serializing/deserializing to/from SCRIPT binary format and SCRIPT XML format (there are two distinct formats here; both must be supported). Here rises the problem (for me at least). To develop this subsystem for handling the model, implementing serializing and deserializing facilities and keep it uptodate with the SCRIPT standard specifications is a lot of work; it needs it's own team and team management issues (to support a standard implementation). So I am looking for a solution to this problem; to keep standard implementation out of the way and focusing on main problems. Thanks to all (Thankyou Freiheit for your hints!) Edit 2: Thanks to all for help! NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) is an standard for e-prescribing. It defines two formats for message transmission: binary and XML. Implementing XML is somehow easier because it is a standard format which in turn gives us more tooling options. The binary format has a very big specification and time-consuming to implement. I did not find an open source solution to work with. So I am looking for commercial alternatives. Edit 1: Please guide me; what's wrong with this question?

  • Silverlight component vendors

    - by Jakob Gade
    I’m looking for Silverlight component libraries (preferably commercial). So far I’ve found these: ComponentOne Telerik DevExpress Vectorlight Infragistics Xceed Am I missing any? I previously posted this question, I’m (still) searching for a Silverlight Image Editor. As part of my exploration I have to document that I at least checked "all the major vendors".
