  • How to use Mesa3D on Mac OS X and Windows

    Hello all, I need to use Mesa3D for a cross platform application(windows and Mac only) which uses only offline software rendering. The reason I wanted to use Mesa3D is because it has the same Drawing calls as OpenGL and they are really easy. Now I know that Apple itself has a software implementation (which I heard is flaky), but I prefer using Mesa so that it's a lot easier for me to maintain the code on both platforms. On windows I managed to compile three DLL's from the Mesa3d source, but don't know what to do with them. On Mac OS X I am completely clueless. I would highly appreciate your help.   • Perl WordPress::XMLRPC categories not being set.

    The following code works fine to upload a new post to a WordPress blog but for the life of me I can't seem to get the categories to be set. The categories exist. I've tried all lower case, tried case-matching, tried the slug version. Nothing works. No matter how I try passing the categories, the post gets assigned only to the default category. That's telling me that I need some SEO work. We redid our website and streamlined it which removed many of our 'How-To' documents. Since those PDF documents contain words that people might search for, I was wondering if I could add a 'Complete library' link to the bottom of a page that will load up the entire PDF library. Would that help my ranking?

    What are (based on experiences) best commercial libraries for developing NCPDP-based systems? Edit 2: Thanks to all for help! NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs) is an standard for e-prescribing. It defines two formats for message transmission: binary and XML. Implementing XML is somehow easier because it is a standard format which in turn gives us more tooling options. The binary format has a very big specification and time-consuming to implement. I did not find an open source solution to work with. So I am looking for commercial alternatives. Edit 1: Please guide me; what's wrong with this question?

  • Is it possible to make a persistent connection between a Python web service and a .Net WCF Client?

    I have a .Net 3.5 SOAP client written in C# using the WCF. It's expecting basicHTTPBinding and a persistent connection with HTTP/1.1. I'm trying to create a Python 2.6 application that will act as a web-service for the client. My problem is that the client keeps closing the connection and opening a new one for every command to the web service. How does the .Net WCF client know to stay open when connecting with a .Net Service? When I create a dummy .Net web service the client connects fine and the connection remains persistent. From what I can tell, when connected to a .Net server, there are no special HTTP headers being sent, that makes sense since HTTP/1.1 assumes a persistent connection unless otherwise specified (right?). However, with the python web service I accept/open a connection and eventually the client will send a TCP FIN and the connection will close (the client never sends a FIN or RST when connecting to a .Net service). The communication goes something like this: Incoming -- HTTP Header for SOAP Command #1 Outgoing -- HTTP Header with a Continue Incoming -- Body of Command #1 Outgoing -- ACK Command #1 (HTTP headers and body) Incoming -- HTTP Header for SOAP Command #2 Outgoing -- HTTP Header with a Continue Incoming -- TCP FIN <Connection closes> <New connection opens and SOAP command #2 (with full HTTP headers) is sent> I'm using a SocketServer.ThreadingTCPServer as the server and a BaseHTTPServer.BaseHTTPRequestHandler for any requests. The handler is actually a derived class of that with a do_POST method to handle the HTTP headers. I've looked at WireShark captures and I'm stumped. I've tried setting socket options to SO_KEEPALIVE and SO_REUSEADDR in the server but that didn't seem to change anything. What am I missing?

    I am designing an application that has following flow: User designs a form using web application (J2EE backend application) The form is sent to mobile device (Android) Mobile device User fills out the form designed in 1. Results are synced with backend. One of my ideas is to create a common java UI library for creating the type of forms that I need. This library would also have a native renderers for different platforms (Web and Android would be implemented first). The whole point of it is to have a native experience on web and android side. Are there any existing solutions to meet the requirements that I have? Is it a good approach to achieve them?

    I am trying to use bing with PHP SOAP. It works fine for short strings. But for larger string I get following error: Fatal error: Uncaught SoapFault exception: [a:DeserializationFailed] The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: Error in deserializing body of request message for operation 'Translate'. The maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded while reading XML data. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxStringContentLength property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. Line 9, position 227. in ........ I am using XAMPP in windows 7. All the solution I found are for .net not the PHP. PHP has no web.config file as far as I concern. Any idea how can I solve it. Thank you Sadi

Why? As far as I know base.Dispose should call the Dispose method of base class only... isn't it? Who call back the Dispose(bool) of UnityManager? How to prevent that? Thanks.

    After many hours, I have discovered that the given udp server needs the following steps for a successful communication: 1- Send "Start Message" on a given port 2- Wait to receive from server on any port 3- Then the port dedicated to you to send further data to the server equals the port you have received on it + 1 So I am asking if this kind is a known protocol/handshaking, or it is only special to this server??   • How can I use functools.partial on multiple methods on an object, and freeze parameters out of order

    I find functools.partial to be extremely useful, but I would like to be able to freeze arguments out of order (the argument you want to freeze is not always the first one) and I'd like to be able to apply it to several methods on a class at once, to make a proxy object that has the same methods as the underlying object except with some of its methods parameter being frozen (think of it as generalizing partial to apply to classes). I've managed to scrap together a version of functools.partial called 'bind' that lets me specify parameters out of order by passing them by keyword argument.     Hi, I have a mutex in my class with the following definition: ACE_Mutex m_specsMutex; When i use the acquire() method that takes no parameters everything works just fine. But when i use it with a time value (as follows) it just immediately returns with -1 value. I'm sure that this mutex hasn't been acquired anywhere else so it shouldn't return -1. m_specsMutex.acquire(ACE_OS::gettimeofday() + ACE_Time_Value(30)) Am i doing anything wrong?
