  • Is it possible to determine whose code (according to `git blame`) was affected by each hunk output by `git diff`?

    I have a large cross-cutting commit that I would like to split up according to the authors whose code was affected, both to increase the reviewers' familiarity with the code they're reviewing, and to divide the review burden equitably. I realize that the blame may be mixed within a given hunk, in which case it would be nice to either collect multiple reviewers or just choose the most "blameworthy" one (breaking ties arbitrarily is fine).

    related to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2520535/gcc-multi-dim-array-or-double-pointer-for-warning-free-compile , is there a way to return so-called "decayed array pointer" from a function? in summary (suppose 2 dim array) returning int (*a)[5] format rather than int** format? as far as I see, when returned int** pointer is sent to another function waiting (int*)[] parameter, it is not working correctly.

    The animate property is very loosely documented. And unfortunately for me, the way the W3 documents SVG is VERY difficult understand and cross reference.     How do I remove strings from / obfuscate a compiled binary? The goal is to avoid having people read the names of the functions/methods inside. It is a dynamic library (.so) compiled from C++ code for Android with the NDK tools (includes GCC) I compile with -O3 and already use arm-eabi-gcc -g mylib.so to remove debugging symbols, but when I do strings mylib.so all the names of the functions/methods are still readable.

  • How to link latest stable version of libCURL using vc++2010

    On 2 separate machines in completely different environments (work, home) I've been unable to compile libCURL out of the box. Running nmake -f Makefile.vc mode=dll VC=10, I get an unresolved external symbol errors for _IdnToAscii and _IdnToUnicode. I believe the definitions are in Normaliz.lib, which is referenced in LFLAGS, but it either isn't finding it or the version I have doesn't have those functions. But I don't see any option to download this file...anyone have a good solution short of commenting out the 2 lines that use these functions?
