  • How to extract product weight from this HTML

    - by Blankman
My HTML looks like this: <td class="main"><b>Product Weight (2.83 lbs in 1 container)</b></td> I need to get the value 2.83 from the HTML. Need help with the regex. I have this: Pattern p = Pattern.compile( "<td\\sclass=\"main\"><b>Product\\sWeight\\s\\s((?:\\d+\\.)?\\d+ \\w{3})"); But doesn't seem to be working. Am I missing an escape or something?

  • Decayed multidimensional array return from function

    - by paul simmons
related to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2520535/gcc-multi-dim-array-or-double-pointer-for-warning-free-compile , is there a way to return so-called "decayed array pointer" from a function? in summary (suppose 2 dim array) returning int (*a)[5] format rather than int** format? as far as I see, when returned int** pointer is sent to another function waiting (int*)[] parameter, it is not working correctly.

  • how to return NULL for double function with Intel C compiler?

    - by Derek
I have some code that I am porting from an SGI system using the MIPS compiler. It has functions that are declared to have double return type. If the function can't find the right double, those functions return "NULL" The intel C compiler does not like this, but I was trying to see if there is a compiler option to enable this "feature" so that I can compile without changing code. I checked the man page, and can't seem to find it. Thanks

  • Will "Programming in the Cloud" Ever Take off?

    - by Pierreten
Just got a chance to try out a cloud programming environment that let's you develop .net apps within the browser (http://coderun.com/ide/) I found it pretty interesting, since I was able to develop a mockup ASP.net site on an IPad. With javascript engines in browsers becoming faster and faster, cheap server infrastructure to compile on; will the cloud become the IDE platform of the future?

  • Recommended lightweight jQuery lightbox plug-in?

    - by Mat Harden
I need a lightbox plugin that is styled similar to FancyBox but will allow me to add text to the same white background as the image. Lightweight because I don't want many features as it's going to be added to an already heavy JS page. Preferably without Ajax features as I'll be handling this myself. Therefore I'm ruling out the use of Thickbox, Fancybox and jQuery UI. Basically I want the plugin to be a currently supported light-box jQuery plug-in that handles all the cross browser styling issues which I can then customise.

  • How can you track mouse input using the fewest libraries in c.

    - by TimE
I'm not sure where to look to find this information, but I'd like to know how to get mouse input (or any hid input) using the fewest non standard libraries in c. Basically, is there an stdio equivalent for mouse (and other input) input in c? Or is there a library that is minimal and cross compatible on multiple platforms. Just being able to print mouse coordinates to a terminal window would be enough.

  • add space to every word's end in a string in C

    - by hlx98007
    Here I have a string: *line = "123 567 890 "; with 2 spaces at the end. I wish to add those 2 spaces to 3's end and 7's end to make it like this: "123 567 890" I was trying to achieve the following steps: parse the string into words by words list (array of strings). From upstream function I will get values of variables word_count, *line and remain. concatenate them with a space at the end. add space distributively, with left to right priority, so when a fair division cannot be done, the second to last word's end will have (no. of spaces) spaces, the previous ones will get (spaces + 1) spaces. concatenate everything together to make it a new *line. Here is a part of my faulty code: int add_space(char *line, int remain, int word_count) { if (remain == 0.0) return 0; // Don't need to operate. int ret; char arr[word_count][line_width]; memset(arr, 0, word_count * line_width * sizeof(char)); char *blank = calloc(line_width, sizeof(char)); if (blank == NULL) { fprintf(stderr, "calloc for arr error!\n"); return -1; } for (int i = 0; i < word_count; i++) { ret = sscanf(line, "%s", arr[i]); // gdb shows somehow it won't read in. if (ret != 1) { fprintf(stderr, "Error occured!\n"); return -1; } arr[i] = strcat(arr[i], " "); // won't compile. } size_t spaces = remain / (word_count * 1.0); memset(blank, ' ', spaces + 1); for (int i = 0; i < word_count - 1; i++) { arr[0] = strcat(arr[i], blank); // won't compile. } memset(blank, ' ', spaces); arr[word_count-1] = strcat(arr[word_count-1], blank); for (int i = 1; i < word_count; i++) { arr[0] = strcat(arr[0], arr[i]); } free(blank); return 0; } It is not working, could you help me find the parts that do not work and fix them please? Thank you guys.

  • force warning in java

    - by Dustin Getz
I'd like a mechanism to throw a compile-time warning manually. I'm using it to flag unfinished code so I can't possibly forget about it later. @Deprecated is close but warns at caller site, not at creation site. I'm using eclipse. Something like #Warning in C#.

  • Is a point inside or outside a polygon which is on the surface of a globe

    - by richard
How do I determine if a point is inside or outside a polygon that lies on the the surface of the earth? The inside of the polygon can be determined via the right hand rule, ie. the inside of the polygon is on your right hand side when you walk around the polygon. The polygon may Circle either pole Cross the 180 longitude Cover more than 50% of the globe As the globe is a sphere the normal ray crossing algorithms do not work correctly.

  • Why are member constants available even if there are no instances of a its class?

    - by flockofcode
    1) Why are member constants available even if there are no instances of a its class? 2) Is the only reason why constant expressions need to be fully evaluated at compile time due to compiler replacing constant variable with literal value? 3) Since string is also an object, I would think the following would produce an error, but it doesn’t. Why? class A { const string b = “it works”; } thank you

  • How to remove strings from a compiled binary (.so)

    - by Stéphane
How do I remove strings from / obfuscate a compiled binary? The goal is to avoid having people read the names of the functions/methods inside. It is a dynamic library (.so) compiled from C++ code for Android with the NDK tools (includes GCC) I compile with -O3 and already use arm-eabi-gcc -g mylib.so to remove debugging symbols, but when I do strings mylib.so all the names of the functions/methods are still readable.

  • Python sort strings started with digits

    - by vlad
I have the next list: a = ['1th Word', 'Another Word', '10th Word'] print a.sort() >>> ['10th Word', '1th Word', 'Another Word'] But I need: ['1th Word', '10th Word','Another Word'] Is there an easy way to do this? I tried: r = re.compile(r'(\d+)') def sort_by_number(s): m = r.match(s) return m.group(0) x.sort(key=sort_by_number) But some strings do not have numbers and this leads to an errors. Thanks.

  • Maven and bit-for-bit identical builds

    - by mattjames
If your project requirements for a large application with many 3rd party dependencies included: 1) Maintain a configuration management system capable of reproducing from source bit-for-bit identical copies of any build for 25 years after the original build was run and 2) Use Maven2 as a build tool to compile the build and to resolve dependencies What process would need to be followed to meet those requirements?

  • Using pragma once in a C++ project in Xcode 4

    - by Nils
I know that #pragma once is non-standard, however it is supported by most compilers. So on my Mac I can compile C++ code with headers that use #pragma once on the command line using clang++. The strange thing however is that it does not seem to work within Xcode. I get Invalid preprocessing directive when I try to use #pragma once. I am using the newest version of OSX (10.8.2) and Xcode (Version 4.5.1 (4G1004)).

  • eclipse + maven + tomcat debugging

    - by Tom
I'm developping a web application in Eclipse and I'm using maven, spring and tomcat. Now the problem I have is that debug as = debug on server doesn't work. I just get exceptions. (and yes I've created the server) If I use the mvn command to compile it, put the war in my tomcat webapps dir and start my tomcat the application works fine. But for the functionallity I'm now working on debugging would be usefull.

  • Static Memory allocation & Portability

    - by user332354
I have read Static Memory Allocation are done during Compile time. Is the 'address allocated' used while generating executables ? Now,I am in doubt that how the memory allocation is handled when the code executable is transferred completely to a new system. I searched for it but I didn't get any answer on Internet.
